Barcelona already go the win that they wanted to get, and Girona will be playing Ossasuna. It is not really a terrible team, I feel like Ossasuna is is a decent team ,sure they do not look that great but they can have some big games, we have seen them play much better than what their position suggests as well.

So, I am assuming that it is going to really change a lot, and should be something that could benefit them as well. Girona has to work really hard to get that position back, if they can get a win then all will be fine whereas we are talking about something that may end up being so much better, so it is not really what people should be looking for, it has to be something that could take a while to get there eventually. If Girona loses, I do not see a way back for them.

Barca needs to try their best if they want to finish as second this season because Girona will not accept  a push down.

Cristian Portu was able to net the post with an early goal on the 13th minutes of the match with a powerful ground shot. Girona has more possession of the ball than Osassuna, and they both had one shot on target each, but Girona was able to make the difference with that one shot, and took the lead of the game. Mallorca, on the other hand, has tried quite optimally. As a middle club, they have actually tried quite well, but they were not strong enough on the front line. Even though Mallorca's recent performance has actually been quite surprising and satisfying, in the end we still have to acknowledge Barcelona's superiority in this match.

Girona have really dropped points in the last couple of matches they've played.I thought they were going to be the only team that will give Madrid tough time this season,but it is surprising to see Barcleona top them,even if it's temporarily,but how sure are we that Girona will even win Osasuna? because with the recent poor performance,that is not guaranteed at all,and if they do not win this game,it will really be bad for them
I won't be surprised if they end up being at fourth position,even behind  Athletico Madrid.This will show that all they wanted was to qualify for either Europa league or the Champions league,they weren't really fighting for the tittle.

I still believe that Girona can return to consistency in the remaining matches in the future, the match against Osasuna is very important because it can bring them back to the runnerup position and displace Barcelona to third place. Acting as host can increase the confidence and mentality of the players, the fans will of course provide full support.

Girona is leading Osasuna with 1-0 now, and I believe Osasuna are not in good shape to compete with Girona in the league. I just know that Girona will not win the laliga trophy anymore, but they will try and continue staying in the second position in the league, and they can chase Real Madrid in the league again when Real Madrid draw against Valencia, but they fail to defeat their opponent and ended up in a loses in there last match.

Xavi's performances in the league are gradually improving; I expected the match to end in a draw, but Yamal saved the club and earned three points. Yamal will be a fantastic feature for Barcelona because the boy is very talented and skillful i enjoy watching him on the pitch whenever Xavi puts him on the pitch. I'm simply waiting for Napoli versus Barcelona next week to see who will go to the Champions League quarterfinals because in their first leg, they played a bad game in the second half, giving Osimhen an opportunity to draw with them in the first leg.

I don't know about them winning inter Milan because they are one of the most informed team currently now in the whole world as  a whole because they have maintain a strong mind of playing and have really done well so I was quite sure that it would be hell for them to actually win inter Milan in their champions league draw but for the case of their league game that's a totally different case and I hope that greizman do start up and atleast make a difference in the club scoring power.

The defeat against Cadiz really brought down the morale of the Atletico Madrid players ahead of the second leg of the Champions League against Inter. Cadiz managed to force Atletico Madrid to surrender with a score of 2-0 even though they dominated the match until the end. A poor final finish meant that Atletico Madrid failed to score a goal until the match ended, even though many people believed that Atletico Madrid deserved to win the match when they were favourites.

In the end, Atletico Madrid's defeat in the away match against Cadiz made their chances in the Champions League change slightly. Atletico Madrid are not favorites to win their home match in the second leg, meaning Inter are favorites with an aggregate lead of 0-1.

After Barcelona defeated Mallorca yesterday to move the second spot of the Spanish La Liga table, many people were of the opinion that Girona will likely struggle to finish the season in the top four of the league at the end of the season but because I've been following the performances of Girona since the start of the season, I had a different thought as I've always maintained that Girona will certainly finish the season in the in the top four but main concern was how they'll manager to play in the UEFA Champions League competition next season if Manchester City also finishes in gbe top four of the English Premier League table because there's a rule by UEFA that restricts two or more clubs that are owned by one owner to participate in the UEFA Champions League competition in the same season. Girona and Manchester City share the same ownership.

Despite the fact that Girona might not play in the UEFA Champions League competition next season even if they finish in the top four of the Spanish league, I'm still very sure that they'll fight to finish in the top four. They're currently leading in their league game against Osasuna and I'm very optimistic that they're gonna seal the win and retain the second place in the league table

What is happening with Atletico Madrid?

I write right now in the Champions League thread about them, because i was having high hopes of seeing them winning against Inter Milan, but man they are playing horrible right now. And they are not longer so effective in defense like in the past, seems like they are suffering so much for not having Griezman in the starter 11.

Their consistency is getting worse in the domestic league especially if we look at the statistics in the last 5 matches they have tasted defeat, 1 draw and 2 wins actually this is a little doubtful whether they can successfully reverse the score when facing Inter in the second leg or not.
But looking at the match in 90 minutes there is actually nothing wrong in their performance because they still play very well, it's just that sometimes their finishing and their goal productivity are not too erratic.
At one time they can play well where they can score a lot of goals in one match but in other matches sometimes we see that their finishing is really bad.

This must be anticipated from the start by Simeone if they really want to qualify for the Champions League unless they give up on that and focus more on getting maximum results in La Liga. But I think that is an inappropriate choice because after all at the moment their position in La Liga is still a little safer and it would be better if in the Champions League they could also qualify even though in terms of opportunities they are smaller than Inter.

Looking at the records.in the table for me it's not really looking encouraging even with real Madrid who happens to be a top team on the table too, Girona is currently four points away from real Madrid that's if they are able to secure the second position on the table by the end of the game they are playing tonight, girona will aswell be just a Point away from Barcelona who will be directly behind them at the third spot.

Their point gap with Barcelona is quite small. So, it does not rule out the possibility that there will be a shift in position in the future. But, if Girona returns to their previous performance, which in fact is usually very good and consistent with their wins, they can still be runners up. but then again, they will have many quite tough challenges in the future. And next season, it seems certain that Girona will enter the UCL, it's just how they can play in the UCL, this is what really makes me curious. Atletico Madrid have shown some inconsistency in these games, and even in that one, I did not expect to win from them, so I am surprised to see that you are panicking or bet that they should win. If not, it is clear that Inter are stronger than Atlectico Madrid, so their performance did not surprise me at all. However, the time has already passed and I think they have already lost to Inter Milan, so even if they have a strong defence in these games, I did not expect them to win because they are playing with a stronger team than them.

It was a massively important win for Girona as they have been losing too many points recently, but now with this win I think that there is no way they will drop out of the Champions League qualifiers. Back again. Girona played really well in the second half - much better than they did in the first half and Osasuna didn't capitalized on their second half chances. That foul on Savio should've been a penalty by all means but the referee refused to give it. With the referee drama in the La liga in recent weeks, I'm begging to appreciate the officiating in other leagues like EPL, Bundesliga, etc. But in the end, Girona still added an "assurance" goal.

Beautiful win by Girona to get them back to winning ways and close the evening.

Real Madrid will host Celta vigo tomorrow so that's another game to look forward to. I'm taking the ML bet for Madrid to win at home. It's currently @1.29 odds on BcGame. I don't know about Getafe but definitely Real Betis will be harder. Girona didn't won any game against Real Betis for more than five years. They only got a draw against it in December 2023.
For the top positions, Atletico Madrid dropped 3 points after the 2 goals to 0 defeat vs Cadiz which was quite unexpected.
Now Real Madrid have to win to stay away from their rivals, whether it is Girona or Barcelona. Athletic Bilbao needs a victory too to try to secure a place for Champions League next season.

I think inter milan is more favored to be able to advance to the next round. besides in the first leg inter milan has also won the match with a score of 1-0. this season also inter milan is very difficult to beat. with a 1-0 inter milan advantage I think it will play more defensively to maintain its advantage. but of course the starting eleven still uses its best line up.
