Huge win yesterday as we got both of our bets! Great games in NHL and I'm very glad that both of them came through and delivered what is expected from them. And now, I'm looking in NCAA - Basketball to have our pick of the day. This is between Colorado Buffaloes - Utah Utes and we are siding with COLORADO -7.5 points. Looking for a win on this one.

The public is all over Utah here and that is why the line has been dropping. I'm going the other way. I like this Utah squad and I've used them often this year. However, they are one of the youngest teams in the country and I think that they are going to have some ups and downs on the road in conference play. They start two freshmen and three sophomores and they have zero seniors on the roster. As a result, the same team that beat Kentucky on a neutral site also got blown out by 18 at Coastal Carolina. The Utes are coming off an emotional home loss to Oregon last week and I think that they are going to get rolled here. Colorado has an excellent home court advantage and they should be in full rebound mode after their letdown loss to Oregon State last Sunday. The favorite (and home team) has covered four straight in this series and the chalk has gone 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings.

Hey guys. Apologies for not posting pick for today. I really wanted to post one but we got some calamity sh*t going on here and that provided me no time to do my research on our games. I don't want to put half-ass-researched game in my free picks. I'll definitely post some game tomorrow and we'll try to continue our mini winning streak here (won 3 games in a row).

Match: Chicago Bulls - Washington Wizards

LOSS - PICK: TAKE the OVER 228.5 points for 0.50 UNITS (1.87 ODDS).

The Wizards went through a little scoring drought and an under run, but the last couple of games scoring is up again and this one looks like a probable barnburner. Washington is the worst defensive team in the league by many metrics and the Bulls have their moments of competence defensively but they also give up 115+ on a regular basis, and we think that will be the case tonight. We see both teams getting close to 120 tonight. The over is 6-1 in the Wizards last seven road games, and we just don't see either team getting stops tonight and scoring should be fluid for all four quarters.

The Canucks have won seven of their last 10 games, and despite losing their last game 4-0 to the Jets, they dominated that game putting up 40 shots to Winnipeg 25, but they went 0-4 on the PP. Now they return home where they own a 14-5-3 record and face an Arizona team that has been inconsistent at best over their last 10 games (5-4-1 record). The Canucks are 5-0 in their last five games as home favorites and they are 6-1 in their last 7 vs the Western Conference. The Coyotes are just 1-4 in their last 5 road games and 11-23-1 in the last 35 meetings in Vancouver. This has Vancouver win written all over it.

LOSS - PICK: TAKE the GRIZZLIES -8.5 points for 1.42 UNITS (1.88 ODDS).

I just love the way the Grizzlies are playing now. This isn't a fluke, and they are playing playoff quality basketball right now and have a budding superstar in Ja Morant. They have won and covered in six straight games. And those games weren't against all scrubs. They won at the Clippers and at home against Houston and San Antonio. They have scored 119 or more in all of these games, and with Cleveland allowing 128 in each of their last two games, we just don't see them slowing Memphis down tonight. The Grizzlies aren't really on bettors radars right now and they should be laying double digits here.

San Francisco is hands-down the superior team here Sunday especially at home. San Francisco has allowed just 18.6 points per game at home this season and just 253 yards per game while averaging 31.8 points per game and 367 yards per game. San Francisco is also the superior team defensively with opponents converting just 27.2% of their 3rd downs against them at home this season. Green Bay has struggled to convert 3rd downs on the road this season converting at just 33% and San Francisco has converted 41.7% of their 3rd downs at home this season. San Francisco is definitely the better team on both sides of the ball here and they have averaged 148 rushing yards per game at home this season while also completing 66.4% of their passes for 219 passing yards per game. San Francisco already dominated Green Bay once the season holding them to just 81 passing yards in a 37-8 victory and I would not be shocked to see a similar result here Sunday.

Pick for January 22, 2019 (WEDNESDAY)

Match: Depaul Blue Demons - Creighton Bluejays

LOSS - PICK: TAKE the DEPAUL -1.5 points for 0.65 UNITS (1.80 ODDS).

This DePaul team is much, much better than its record suggests. These guys are just 1-4 in league play, but they had a realistic chance to win all four of those games they lost, including a one-point home loss to Providence, an OT loss at Villanova and an eight-point loss at Seton Hall. DePaul has wins this year over Iowa, Texas Tech and Minnesota - three potential tournament teams - and they just bombed Butler on Saturday to finally break through. I think they are going to keep it going here. Creighton is simply not the same team on the road that they are at home. They don't shoot with the same confidence and they don't play defense nearly as well.

NBA handicapping can be very streaky. The Houston Rockets had lost four straight and people were wondering what was wrong with the team. Then they flexed their collective muscle in an extremely impressive home win over the Nuggets last time out. We think they will build on that positive momentum tonight against a very lousy Minnesota team. The Wolves have lost seven straight. They have covered in only one of those games despite some very generous lines courtesy of the oddsmakers. Houston is 10-4 ATS in the last 14 meetings between these teams. We don't think there is any chance of a letdown tonight since that losing streak is still fresh on the Rockets minds, and they need to take care of business, hopefully with an exclamation point, against a sub-par opponent.

Match: Utah State Aggies - Colorado State Rams

WIN!!! - PICK: TAKE the AGGIES -7.5 points for 0.76 UNITS (1.79 ODDS).

I like this Colorado State team. Nico Carvacho is one of the most unique players in college hoops. However, I think that the Rams are going to run headlong into a wall here. They've won five straight games, but the games have come against a really, really easy schedule and the only kind-of-tough games have come at home. They aren't going to sneak up on Utah State. Especially considering that the Aggies have been a massive disappointment and are in full-blown scramble mode in the Mountain West after a 2-4 league slide. Utah State demolished Air Force by 25 on Tuesday. They won't get that big of a blowout in this one. But I still think it will be ugly. CSU has a really young team, with two freshmen and two sophomores, and they have not played in a venue like this yet. (League road games at San Jose and Air Force aren't quite as daunting.) Neemias Queta is one of the few big men in the league that can actually matchup with Carvacho. And if he gets neutralized the rest of the Aggies are so far beyond the rest of the Rams that this one should be a blowout. Lay the points.

Match: Atlanta Hawks - Washington Wizards

WIN!!! - PICK: TAKE the OVER 240.5 points for 0.9 UNITS (1.83 ODDS).

Per this selection, Hawks lost to this team by 10 points not too long ago. The difference here is they will not score just 101 points this time but substantially more. Hawks come off getting thumped by around 30 points to OKC but the difference here is when the Hawks bounce-bakc it's not via defense but offense. The Hawks have Collins back from suspension, Reddish, Jeff Teague is playing great off the bench, Trae being Trae and Huerter is also playing well. Combine that with the Wizards having a tandem of Beal/Isiah, and also a slew of forward and guards such as Bertans and others who are scoring with ease, look for this game to be very fast paced and likely goes over. Remember, both these teams are comfortable running with the personnel they have on the floor and consequently with the Hawks on the bounce-back, with some revenge, and the Wizards playing some of their best basketball including beating the Heat despite their injury to Hachimura, we like the Over here.
