I think this Champions League pitch I see tons of goals being served and I'm shocked that this number wasn't higher. Over the weekend Chelsea blew a 2-0 lead to Southampton and that game ended 3-3 so not only will we see Chelsea hit the back of the net but I also see Sevilla also scoring today in this pitch.

LOST - Take Dortmund over Lazio (3:00p.m., Tuesday, October 20th)

Over the weekend Lazio lost badly to Sampdoria 3-0 and their last 5 league games they are 1-3-1. Dortmund has won back-to-back games with winning against Hoffenheim on the road 1-0. I will lay the small juice on the 3-way with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

WON - Take Juventus over Dynamo Kyiv (12:55p.m., Saturday, October 20th)

As per our selection on Juventus, they are coming off a dull 1-1 draw against bottom of the table Crotone in Italy, but conceded a penalty and got themselves a red card. They should be more focused on this contest with an extremely strong lineup put forward. Juventus are a good bet away from home in the CL as they've won 8 of their last 12 fixtures away from home in the group stage with six of those games featuring clean sheets and two-plus goals scored. Kyiv will be out of their weight class here despite being unbeaten in 10 games. Juventus is the class and will need to get off to a winning start in order to keep pace with Barcelona.

Sinner is just 19 years old and we are very high on him. Remember, he's so young that despite Duckworth being 27 years old they have never played. Sinner took Nadal to a tiebreaker in the French Open and that was as close as Nadal came to losing a set frankly, he also had him at 6-4 in the 2nd set too. This kid is immensely talented and if Duckworth had issues with Tommy Paul recently losing 2-6, 3-6 in a match in Paris, imagine the issues he might face with Sinner. We think Sinner can win this match 6-3, 6-3 here and consequently will take him and lay the games here. Remember, Sinner is great at breaking serve as well and has a fantastic serve and of course the 19 year old legs don't hurt either.

WIN!!! - PICK: TAMPA BAY RAYS for 2 UNITS (2.18 ODDS).

The better pitching situation belongs to the underdog in this one and a significant one at this price. Dodger righty Tony Gonsolin has not pitched of late, allowing 11 earned runs and 18 base runners in 12.1 IP, covering his last three outings. He's not eating up innings and when he's in the game he's not fooling many batters. The biggest concern are his 6 walks in his last 6.1 IP. Blake Snell has been the much better starter of late between the two and we expect a decent outing here. Neither offense is as strong in tonight's situation as they were heading into Game 1 and that benefits Tampa more than L.A., in Game 2. I'm backing the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday.

Morikawa has played outstanding golf of late and his numbers rate out extremely positively for a course like Sherwood that demand complete control of your irons. We have Morikawa as a bigger favorite in this matchup and as such we are playing the better player at a great value price in this spot. Remember, this is a full tournament play.

ACTIVE - PICK: WEB SIMPSON for 2 UNITS (1.75 ODDS).

This is a very interesting matchup as it pits Mr. Consistency versus one of the hottest players on tour right now. Hatton has been just lights out as of late, but fatigue is about to set in. Hatton played across the pond two weeks ago and then flew right back and played in Vegas last week. Hatton has mentioned that he is starting to run out of gas a bit and he actually didn't feel great during the final round in the last tournament. Now he is matchup up against a player that should be able to just destroy this course. Sherwood is a shorter course with Bentgrass greens, and that falls right into Simpson's wheelhouse. Not only that but Simpson is an extremely consistent iron player and typically is one of the best with his approach shots. This is going to pay huge dividends at what looks to be a birdie fest. Now we don't see Hatton just laying down and getting run off the course, but when it comes to this specific matchup he will fall pray to the consistency of Simpson.

LOST - Take Napoli -1.5 Goals over AZ Alkmaar (12:55p.m., Thursday, October 22nd)

Alkmaar, hailing from the Netherlands, has gotten off to an incredibly shaky start to their club season. They have taken four draws - against a bunch of crappy teams - and they are not even close to being in form. Napoli has been outstanding in Serie A, including a dominating 4-1 effort against Atalanta on Oct. 17. The Italians have shown the ability to pound low-rent opposition and they are in a position to make some noise in this tournament. I think they will start on the proper foot.

LOST - Take CSKA Moscow ML over Wolfsberger (3:00p.m., Thursday, October 22nd)

I like this CSKS Moscow side and I really like the value here. They are on a 6-1 run in real competition; they played a B team in their draw against Arsenal Tula on Oct. 13. The one loss came against Lokomotiv, a Russian powerhouse, and they have solid wins over Spartak and Dynamo in the last month. CSKA is playing well. Wolfsberger is now. They are 1-3 in their first four club matches. They are coming off a penalty kick win over a bad Ried team last week and their only other wins in the last two months have come against teams in the second and fourth divisions of Austrian soccer. Not great. This team hasn't finished higher than fourth in its league the last two seasons and in 2017-2018 they were one of the worst teams at Austria's top league. I think Moscow holds its form and leaves with a win (although a draw would still clip us some cash).

This is a series rematch from last week and expect Jake Brigham to come out on top again against Doosan. He has pitched better than his record would indicate and has a 1.50 E.R.A. against Doosan this season. He is averaging a strikeout per inning and has the ability to go deeper into the game compared to Bears starter Choi Won-joon (he has an extra day of rest as well). Kiwoom has beaten Doosan 8 of the 13 games this season and the Bears are stuck in the 4/5 ladder series when the KBO playoffs start next month. They are just playing out the string, compared to Kiwoom who still has a chance to get out of the first series by moving up to the No. 3 seed. They will earn the victory tonight and we will double our money.

Match: Tampa Bay Rays - Los Angeles Dodgers

WIN!!! - PICK: LA DODGERS ML for 2 UNITS (1.63 ODDS).

There's a ton of evidence that this year's Los Angeles Dodgers team has been one of the best in MLB history and getting them at this price and in this particular matchup is extreme value. The Dodgers were on pace to break the 162 game regular season win record in 2020 and they have sustained that level of play in these playoffs winning 10 of their 14 post-season games so far. The Dodgers run differential per game during the regular season was also the highest that we have seen from any team in the last 80 years in MLB. Their offensive wRC+ was the 2nd highest that we've seen from a offense in the last 80 seasons as well.

The Dodgers hand the baseball here to starter Walker Buehler. The 26 year-old right-hander has been razor sharp since returning back to action a month ago posting a 1.57 ERA overall and all five starts came against playoff teams. His velocity has went up during this stretch as he's posted an eye popping 13+ strikeouts per 9 innings. The Dodgers have been awesome in Buehler's 12 starts this season going 10-2 overall with one of those losses being a one run defeat and the other coming in a game that the Dodgers bullpen gave up the winning runs in the 9th inning of what was a 1-1 tied game at the time. He will face off here Tampa Bay starter Charlie Morton and Morton had his worst season in the last five years in 2020 with an ERA of 4.74.

LOSS - PICK: BARCELONA ML for 1 UNIT (1.99 ODDS).

As per our selection on Barcelona to get the better of their rival Real Madrid, we are going to back the team in better form right now and that's Barcelona by a mile. Typically when these two teams hook up in El Classico, you can throw form out the window, but Real Madrid is playing so poorly, we don't believe they can recover in time for this crucial game, especially away from home. Madrid has lost 1-0 to Cadiz and 3-2 to Shakhtar at home in their past two games and now have to travel to the Camp Nou to take on a Barca side that has just two losses over their last 10 matches. Barcelona has the better squad in every position and with a breakout 5-1 against Ferencvaros in the CL midweek, confidence and momentum should be riding high for this matchup. Barcelona has a 2-1-1 record against Madrid over the last five meetings and is in a revenge spot as Madrid beat them last time out.

WON - Take Shavkat Rakhmonov over Alex Oliveira (12:35p.m., Saturday, October 24th)

In the welterweight division, we have a matchup between Alex Oliveira (22-8) and Shavkat Rakhmonov (12-0). First - What can we say about Alex Oliveira? The guy is so exciting to watch, and he never seems to disappoint. He has been in some exciting wars and has 12 wins by knockout, and 5 wins by submission. However, those wars come at a price, and sooner or later they will catch up with you. Oliveira is on a much needed two-fight winning streak after losing the previous 3. He is an aggressive fighter right from the start but has shown cardio and conditioning issues in the past. He will face off against undefeated UFC newcomer, Shavkat Rakhmonov. Shavkat has 7 wins by knockout, and 5 by submission which if you do the math means he has a 100% finishing rate. Our initial take on this fight when the odds dropped was that we were going to be all over Oliveira. He's the more battle-tested fighter, with high-level UFC experience against the much tougher opponents. The line seemed way off, and disrespectful to Oliveira. It was shaping up to be one of those scenarios where we could fade the UFC newcomer hype and cash in on the more experienced mixed martial artist. However, after doing some tape study on Rakhmonov - all we can say is, damn! This guy looks like he could make some real noise in the UFC. He is solid in all aspects, possesses great cardio and conditioning, and fights very calm and within himself for a 25-year-old. He is showing wisdom and experience beyond his years and this was no mistake by the UFC setting this up on one of the biggest cards of the year, to debut against Alex Oliveira. There's no doubt that this could be too much too soon and we are not discounting that, but if he can stay patient and avoid the early attack from Oliveira we think he will have his way and make a huge statement in his debut. We will take the stab on him here and hope the fighter from Kazakhstan shows the world what he is capable of.

LOST - Take Nathaniel Wood over Casey Kenney (1:00p.m., Saturday, October 24th)

In a catchweight bout, we have a preliminary matchup between Nathanial Wood (21-4) and Casey Kenney (15-2). This is a good fight. We want to say "well done" to the UFC matchmakers here. From a number's standpoint, both these fighters are remarkably similar. Nathaniel Wood has looked good in the UFC showing clear talent, albeit vs. lower tier opponents. He did have a step up in competition recently when he faced John Dodson, but he ended up losing by knockout. Although when watching that fight back, it was a situation where Dodson landed a clean shot but was outclassed for most of that fight. Wood is a slick martial artist with a high-volume approach. When it comes to Casey Kenney, there is no denying the competition level difference he has faced. He has been in there with fighters such as Louis Smolka, Merab Dvalishvili, Ray Borg and Dennis Bermudez. It is important to note this is a late replacement fight and a quick turnaround for Kenney. He has been flying back and forth between time-zones while attempting to cut weight at the same time and ensure his body is recovered. We think this line would be a little high even under normal circumstances, but that kind of mental and physical fatigue comes at a price and we believe is being undervalued here. In all honesty this is a fight where we price Wood closer to -165, and at +140 we will happily take a big shot on the dog!

LOST - Take Stefan Struve over Tai Tuivasa (1:30p.m., Saturday, October 24th)

In the featured prelim of the evening we have a heavyweight matchup between Stefan Struve (29-12) and Tai Tuivasa (9-3). This is an interesting fight no doubt about it. Tai Tuivasa came into the UFC looking like the next big thing winning in impressive fashion in his first three bouts en route to a 3-0 record. However, since stepping up in competition level, he has found himself on a 3-fight slide which brings his UFC record to 3-3. The issue with Tuivasa is his willingness to rely on his power too much. Yes, he has a ton and if he lands clean - you are going to sleep. However, this is not a long-term winning strategy in MMA these days due to the evolution and diversity of these fighters. Tai Tuivasa simply does not have elite level skills in anything. He is a decent striker, with huge power but a one trick pony that is easy to deal with once you work him out. Stefan Struve on the other hand is a 7-foot-tall, awkward looking heavyweight that possesses the reach advantage in most of his fights (almost 10 inches in this one). Struve has 8 wins by KO, but what makes him unique in this division is his 18 wins by way of submission due to his long limbs and Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has a clear advantage on the ground if it gets there. Struve is good at creating distance and using his jab and front kicks to keep his opponent at range. We see many paths to victory for Struve, and only one path to victory for Tuivasa. This could play out in a variety of ways and we are not sold on the current mindset of Struve considering his constant discussions of retirement. but having said that, we cannot ignore this price on the fighter with many more tools in the bag. If he can protect his chin, keep this at range and eventually work his way into some clinch/grappling exchanges - we like his chances.

LOST - Take Walt Harris over Alexander Volkov (3:25p.m., Saturday, October 24th)

Moving over to the PPV, we have a heavyweight matchup between Alexander Volkov (31-8) and Walt Harris (13-8). Walt Harris has been a difficult one to gauge so far in the UFC. He lost his debut via split decision, then put two wins together in impressive fashion, winning both by knockout. He then was tested against Fabricio Werdum and lost by submission and followed that up with a loss via DQ. Harris then looked like he pulled off a decent win against Andrei Arlovski, but that was later overturned due to Harris testing positive for Ligandrol. He then returned by winning two straight via KO and found himself with another big test in Alistair Overeem in his last outing. He lost that via TKO in the 2nd round. What we are getting at here, is how up and down his UFC career has been. He seems to put together a few nice performances and then loses via DQ, PED's or being finished in big fights. He will have another chance against 8th ranked Alexander Volkov. A.V. presents some unique challenges for Harris. He is long, rangy and will throw high volume, including many techniques that allow him to keep the fight at distance where he can really shine by utilizing his reach advantage. One thing with Volkov is he makes some questionable choices at times, which can get him in trouble. There is no doubt that from a volume standpoint, Volkov will eclipse anything Harris can put together, but Harris seems motivated as ever and we feel has a few areas he can exploit in Volkovs game. Harris will be patient and preserve his energy to land a big shot, and we feel at some point he will, and we are not convinced Volkov has the chin to take it. It should also be noted that A.V. has not fought a southpaw in almost 5 years, and that will take an adjustment period early when Harris is most dangerous. We feel this is a fight where too much is being made of the 'more skillful' fighter. Skill is not always what wins out in MMA - especially in the heavyweight division when your opponent hits like a truck. This line is wacky to us, Harris is live for the first 2 rounds.

LOST - Take Jared Cannonier over Robert Whittaker (3:50p.m, Saturday, October 24th)

In the co-main event of the evening we have middleweight title contender matchup between former champion Robert Whittaker (21-5) and Jared Cannonier (13-4). This has fight of the night potential! Just an incredible matchup and we cannot wait. Let us start with Cannonier. He is either a man on a mission or made a deal with the devil. He fought in the UFC at heavyweight back in 2016 but has since cut all the way down to 185 and is now a serious contender at middleweight. Once a journeyman martial artist, Cannonier has looked unstoppable. He's won 3 straight in the division against David Branch, Anderson Silva and Jack Hermansson (all by knockout). We are not sure what, and apart from the obvious physical look, something has changed in Cannonier. He seems on an entirely different level in both his skill sets and mental mindset. Jared Cannonier mirrors his opponents well and has outstanding timing with his defensive and counter abilities which could be problematic for Whittaker. Speaking of Whittaker, there is no denying the man's talent and abilities. He has been in there vs. the best and looked outstanding. However, he has been in some absolute wars and it seems as though they have taken a toll on him. He was hurt badly in both fights vs. Yoel Romero, was knocked out cold by Israel Adesanya and dropped by an elbow in his last fight against Darren Till. The illnesses, injuries and constant shots to the head are catching up to Rob and we believe this is the fight that really puts the nail in his coffin. Whittaker has the higher level, big fight experience, possesses the wrestling and speed advantages and this price seems too good to be true to the casual fan, but the profits are in the details and this is a fight where the head forward charge of Whittaker will not work. At the end of the day, if Cannonier wins this fight, he will get his shot at the Middleweight strap, and while Whittaker may look good and dangerous early, we feel it's just a matter of time before Jared Cannonier lands the big shot to shut the lights out. These men are at opposite ends of the motivation spectrum, and the hunger in Cannonier is real. Give us Jared to win his 4th straight and cement himself as the next challenge to Adesanya.

Match: Miami Hurricanes - Virginia Cavaliers

LOSS - PICK: MIAMI HURRICANES -12.5 POINTS for 1 UNIT (1.77 ODDS).

Virginia does not have a quarterback without Brennan Armstrong, and they will not be able to use 2-3 other guys and stay within single digits against Miami. If he does play, he will be rusty, and I just do not see many weapons on offense for Virginia to threaten this Miami defense. Virginia has lost three straight games, including the last two by 17 points to Wake Forest and NC State. Miami could not beat Clemson (join the club), but there other 3 wins have all been by double digits. D'Eriq King is going to pick apart this defense, and I just do not believe Virginia will be able to keep pace. If Miami can put it together on offense, they can score 50+ points in this game. Miami is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a favorite. Virginia is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games.

WON - Take Wolfsburg over Arminia Bielefeld (10:30 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 25th)

Arminia is a relegation squad. They are playing so far out of their element and I think they have played above their heads, actually going 1-2-1. They have just three goals in their four matches and they will not crack a rock solid Wolfsburg defense. Wolfsburg has taken a point in all four of its matches. I think they will finally break through and get three points.

ITALY SERIE A
LOST - Take Napoli -1.5 GOALS over Benevento (10 a.m.,  Sunday, Oct. 25th)

Napoli has to be absolutely pissed that they blew their Europa game earlier this week. They got upset 1-0 despite completely dominating that game. They are going to take it out on a hapless Benevento team that just gave up five goals to Roma and also gave up five goals to Inter. I think Napoli will take out some frustration here.

MEXICO LIGA MX
LOST - Take UANL Tigres -1.0 GOAL over FC Juarez (9 p.m.., Saturday, Oct. 24th)

No one is hotter than the Tigers, winners of five straight. They haven't just won matches: they have dominated. Tigres has won those five matches by a combined 12-0 score, throwing five straight clean sheets. I don't think they will hold Juarez scoreless here, but I do think the Tigres will throw up three goals of their own.

WON - Take Monterrey over Mazatlan (9:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24th)

We are catching Mazatlan in a letdown spot here after a rare win for this side. This is a weak team. They've allowed the most goals in the Liga MX this year and they just have too many issues in the back. Three points here would be huge for Monterrey and could vault them up the standings. I think they get their third win in a row here and I don't see Mazatlan pointing in two straight matches.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are clearly the best team in MLB this year and it's really not even close either. They had a win percentage that was on pace to break the 162 game regular season win record. Their run differential was the highest we have seen from a team per game in 80 years. They have looked almost as good as that throughout these playoffs as they come into this game 11-4 overall. The Dodgers offense was the 2nd best wRC+ we have seen since 1940 by a team and they are averaging 6 runs per game their last 11 contests. Getting them at this price is great value.

Take the Los Angeles Dodgers minus the run and a half in this one.

Arizona will not be facing Andy Dalton and a dysfunctional team on Sunday. The Seahawks are coming off a bye and get to face Arizona on a short week, as the Cardinals played on Monday Night Football. Seattle won in Glendale by 17 points, and I see another double-digit victory for the road team on Sunday. QB Wilson is playing at an MVP level, and the coaches are finally letting him throw the ball early in games. Seattle is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 years coming off a bye week. The Seahawks are 13-4 ATS (1 push) in their last 18 road games. The Cardinals are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a victory of more than 14 points in their previous game.

I am going with the Dodgers. They blew last night's game in the bottom of the ninth inning. I think they will bounce back here though. The have been the better team in this series and I like them to eventually win the championship. This line opened at -150 and has moved up. That tells me that the sharps are jumping on the Dodgers. Los Angeles is 5-2 in its last seven games and Tampa Bay is just 3-5 in their last eight games. The Dodgers are 50-19 in their last 69 games after a loss and will bounce back here. Los Angeles has only lost back-to-back games one time in the last month. I don't think that they will lose two in a row here. Play the Dodgers.

There have been all kinds of weird results and upsets in the Premier League this past weekend. I think some order is going to be restored here with a good team just pounding a bad team. Moscow played its B-Team in a draw against Tula on Oct. 13. They are also coming off a poor draw against Wolfsberger in Europa play last week. Other than those two results Moscow has won six of seven matches. They beat Tula 1-0 on Sept. 8 and should do it again here.

I have the Rams winning this game in a blowout by 10+ points here Monday. Chicago has definitely got off to a hot start however that ends here Monday night as I believe the Rams are the superior team. WIN!!! - PICK: SHAKHTAR DONETSK +1/1.5 GOALS for 2 UNITS (2.03 ODDS).

As per our selection on Shakhtar, why not go back to the well with them after a monumental win away to Real Madrid on matchday one. They outplayed Madrid for around 80 minutes in that game and they were full value for the win. Inter Milan struggled a bit with Monchengladbach at home and we see the visitors struggling to dominate this game as well. Donetsk are unbeaten in seven games, including their last three home games where they outscored the opposition 8-2. Milan come in on the heels of a 2-0 win against lowly Genoa, but that's been there only win through their last four games. Look for this game to be a close affair with Donetsk likely stealing a point in this one.
