looks like we finally have a legit asic maker with good hardware and does what it says, no bs. good job!
however i think you need to improve the price, understand you want to keep the margin high but mining hardware is a rapid depreciating business overtime. 3-6 months from now your margin is guaranteed to erode significantly, so better off with a lower margin/price now(while still much higher than what it will be in 6 months) to make it attractive and drive higher sales NOW.
cex.io May is at 0.004btc/gh, that's $2576 for same 1.4TH (0.004btc*1400GH*460usd). Add on 10% premium for their maintenance fee(the other 10% is just same electricity), you looking at $2800 - risk free mining with the ability for instant unloading to btc.
Your may 1.4 TH unit is at $4000 (using the 2unit pricing), and that's not including hosting + risk of hardware issues/downtime.
Anyway to slice it, i just cant bring myself to order this vs buying cex.io shares.
I am curious how you see the May Cex.io prices, when I look at the trading I only see like .009 btc per gh. Thanx, ...0.009 BTC/GH ...which gives ...: 0.009BTC * 1400GH = 12.6 BTC for SP10 ... * $493 per BTC @ the moment = $6211.8 ...NO DEAL... I agree with you but what the newguy is saying that you could buy May Hashing for .004 btc, I am trying to verify this info from the CEX.io website but don't see it but I do agree with you at .009 btc/gh is no deal. You can get better $/GH starting from May by choosing the 2*SP10 bundle.

it has been a breath of fresh air... but why do you think it's not a good time to buy? My reason of thinking is this; btc price looks to be improving, how can we know that if we see a nice rise in price before the end of the year, that the majority of h/w manufacturers won't adjust prices to follow the btc price? Of course, it's not going to happen the other way around, is it? difficulty often decides when prices drop, but if I were building these things, i know i'd be looking at the btc prices in relation to when i would raise my prices... h/w pricing is often decided upon in conjunction with the return on investment that h/w should give in it's lifetime, and if that return on investment was greatly inflated, why would the h/w companies sell their rigs (at the lower price in relation to ROI) and not mine themselves... oh look... KnC. for me, now is a perfect time to buy, I don't want any h/w builder left with surplus stock to be able to do (that), ever again.

Sadly there is NO clear winner in the mining game now for anyone not investing >$1MM That was always going to be the case really. Group and pool and collectivise your interests and you can keep pace. That is the good thing about Spondoolies they are reaching out and are keen to work with groups and bulk orders. We recently as a group were able to secure some chips so there are still plenty of opportunities available but it won't be like it was in the past an individual at home mining alone. NERD HERDS is your only way to go! Spondoolies is definitely a breath of fresh air in the mining game let us hope it continues.

You lost me, whats recent fire sale? Not for consumers, back door deals for large quantities of equipment. Only 30 days warranty though... They seem desperate. I believe I know the reason...

One abandoned bus, which we really don't understand it's purpose. It's not out front but about 200 meters. It's out front HP Indigo more or less. Anyway, we're 400 meters from Intel 22nm FAB, so it's not that deserted place. We're about 25 KM from Gaza strip, not in any disputed territory.
Somehow, this is funny. 2 questions: 1) can you provide a streetview link to the abandon bus outside the office? and 2) can a palistinian missile from Gaza reach the office? I am not talking about one of those silly missiles made by little boys who should be in school, but one of the really good ones with extra fuel and payload capacity made by mad Muslim bombers in hidden welding shop? If I send $20 large, I don't want any god-damned political strife fucking up my position.

If I send $20 large, I don't want any god-damned political strife fucking up my position. 1) I've actually checked it after the post. No. Google Street view took a picture before. 2) Yes. But, our manufacturing is done in Flextronics in the north ( http://www.flextronics.com/global_locations/pages/israel_site_information.aspx) The last serious tension happened back in November 2012 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Pillar_of_Defense) Beside, since Intel is critical, we're probably covered by Iron Dome ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Dome) Don't worry. Your miners will arrive on time and on spec. Edit: Beside, we encourage you to look at our new payment terms: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521520.msg6212699#msg6212699

Don't worry. Your miners will arrive on time and on spec. Unfortunately, this is the same thing CoinTerra, KnC, BFL all said. It has about the same meaning as 'the check is in the mail!'

Now, by 'August' do you mean: A) I'll receive them at my house on August 1st or B) You'll put them in a box in Israel on Aug 31st? And what is the warranty that they will each actually make 5.4T? If you assure they run that fast, I'll do the deal.

It depends on your place in the queue Current status of the project shows above 5.5 TH/s in our simulations. Taping out is the beginning of May. As explained before in the thread, it's a relative simple die shrink (40nm -> 28nm) of our 1st gen ASIC.

Thank you. Please try to avoid politics. We're here to produce and sell the world best mining rigs. Distribute the hash-rate in the process.

Agreed - I was just hoping it would happen later No always. this will continue up to the point that production costs for a single asic chip will not roi The margins of ASIC chip suppliers are not bad at all x20 or x30 But it is just a matter of time this to happen And they will just stop fabricate asic chips immediately. Maybe in a year who knows
