At the moment the SW upgrade is down, but we changed the line name to SP3x, so after you upgrade to latest FW as SP30 it will start identifying as SP3x, and you will see the next FWs.

But now the SW upgrade is down anyway Smiley

I'm doing some comparisons between miners and would like to calculate the costs of the SP31 without the PSUs as most of the competition don't include PSUs in their offerings. Could you tell me what PSUs are in those SP31s? If not, could you give a rough estimate for the cost of the 2 PSUs if you were to buy them on Newegg for example?

Basically, I want to know the cost of the SP31s minus the cost of PSUs.

It's not important the cost of the specific PSUs. Take the cost of how much someone buying our competitors miners would spend on PSUs to provide 3KW.

I should be getting my SP30's next week. I had a few questions.

I have the new macbook pro which has no ethernet port. I have bought a network switch to connect the hardware too.

My question is are there any mining softwares for MAC OSx which would support the SP30? And would it just be a one-off setup? or would the computer need to be constantly turned on.

Would I also need an ethernet to usb converter for my macbook pro?

You don't need a PC to mine with a SP30. You need a browser initially, (Safari's fine) to connect to your miner and set up the pool you wish to mine to.  After that .. what you need is constant power and internet connection for it.

Zvi Smiley can you please have a look on Github for some minor changes in the minepeon? Mainly I was trying to keep the lighttpd.error log free of warnings for the time being. I'm on FW 2.3.30.

To set up my miners through macbook air, I bought a thunderbolt to ethernet adapter. Apple charges quite a bit for this little dongle  Smiley
After the initial setup miner itself should be connected directly to your router ( I use either airport extreme that has a few ethernet ports or use airport express that is wirelessly connected to extreme). Router is needed, but mac does not need to be connected. You can also access your miner wirelessly through router.

They don't come without PSU, and you cannot put in the regular PSU as a replacement.
You would need to calculate the alternative by adding 3kw worth of power supplies to the alternative equipment cost (that does not have power supplies).

You don't need an ethernet connection for your laptop if your wifi is hosted on the same ethernet network as your SP30. I've configured about 70 SP30s so far, and I use wifi for it exclusively.

Antminers are set up to use an IP address of 192.168.1.99 when they arrive, which makes the ethernet connection on a laptop useful. However, Spondoolies hardware is configured to use DHCP, so you just need to plug them into a functioning router, go to http://myminer.io, click on the machine, etc.

If it's running unattended I believe you  Grin What about CGminer uptime? I find it VERY sensitive to the pool connection ..
When the main pool connection is not active it automatically switches to the second pool .. but if you have only one pool set up the hash-rate shuts down and/or cgminer restarts.
I had the SP30 several times mining PPC (LOL) because of some DNS issues, not under my control. Local p2pool nodes at the datacenter can definitely help in this regard.

Hi Gang,

Have I got some goodies for you.

1. The SP20 is out! Yes, that's right, we got a price, we got a shipping date, and we also have a prototype in hand:

Here's Harel taking a look at the box:

And our legendary COO Kobi Levin playing with his new toy:

You can order the units from here:
http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/sp20-jackson-october-batch-1

The first 20 people who order will get a free Spondoolies-Tech t-shirt.

Please note that the units do not include a PSU.

2. We took the SP31 which had improved ASICs and replaced the PSUs with 2 BAPS (Big Ass Power Supplies). This allows the unit to pull 3.5kW off the wall but pushes the hashing power to 6TH.

We called this monster the SP35 - Yukon Power. It is available for delivery in the second half of November and you can order it from here:

http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/sp35-yukon-power-november-batch-1

Due to the power consumption of the SP35 it is only suited for 208V and up outlets.

As always we are happy to answer any questions you might have and welcome you to contact us at info@spondoolies-tech.com

Ordered!  The giftcard works, but the discount code does not;
I've paid the balance in BTC, can you arrange for the refund of my discount coupon?

No, but we have the ASICs WAT graphs. We know their characteristic.
