There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Qora 'community' looks upon Qora as a backup of NXT, that's why there are no meaningful efforts to make it popular or expand the network of nodes, etc. Basically, if Qora investors already have invested in NXT, why would they kill their own investment and develop a competing coin which by the way doesn't offer any new features (different GUI is not a new feature)? Their line of thinking is: should NXT fail for some reason, they will have Qora software and their coins in it to replace the failed NXT. It's not like there is a large inflow of new investors to PoS cryptos and most of them buy some NXT first as the most established PoS crypto. Same goes for NEM/NODE/Crypti.

I don't have any NXT Undecided  BTW, I'll not buy NXT in the future.  Wink

Using qora AE, it can build a centralized exchange in AE.
Here is the ideas. As an example I demostrate the pair of BTC and doge coins.
I can issue a BTC asset used to deposit BTC. It should be 1 BTC token=1BTC. That means if people sent 1 BTC to my address, I will give him 1 BTC token used to buy other coins. At any time, people can use their BTC token to get their bitcoin back. It's similar to withdraw.
It's the same process for dogecoins.
I  issued a doge asset used to deposit doge. It should be 1 doge token=1doge.
Then people chould use the tokens to trade BTC and doge.
At any time, people can deposite and withdraw.
Sure, people should trust me as they should trust the exchange.
It's a centralized exchange in AE.
NXT AE can't do such things because it only can trade NXT and other coins, but not all of people like to recieve or use NXT to buy other coins.
And it also similar as the ripple's Gateway.
Obviously, Qora's AE has more advantages than NXT's AE.

I think we need a trusted 3rd party/escrow to be able to do that.

I have some of both of these and others too, but I have more liberal views than you on what holders of coins should act like, I prefer to look at more important factors when I buy Smiley

Did I hurt your feelings? Another reason to stay away from NXT I guess Cheesy
