Thoughts? I like it, I think the lower case g and the '2' are a nice design touch. I made a more traditional coin look just screwing around tonight, but not so sure about the font. I like the style of the lettering, but not really the roughness of it.

Good. Did you have to use the --difficulty-multiplier flag?

I guess I should have qualified my comments... those who have a bunch of 7970 cards that they paid $700+ for will consider them unprofitable... that can still mine, but will have much less hope of making back the investment in all likely hood. The newer cards, even the ATI cards can still work... I probably painted with too wide of a brush with the first comment and no explanation. But thats the nice thing about GRS, it works really well with old cards! I'm mining with 5870s (~6500 KH/s) and 5970s (~12500 KH/s). They are super energy-efficient if you undervolt them. Best of all, 5870s go for about 70-80 € on ebay (in Germany), and I recently snagged two 5970s for 100 € each. Very low investment cost, and I'm pretty sure I can even get 50-70% of the money back if I sell the cards in half a year or so. Yeah, 5970 is the best for GRS, what is power consuption ?

sgminer.exe -k groestlcoin -o stratum+tcp://cryptohunger.com:3333 -u x.x -p x -I 20 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1200 --gpu-memclock 1600 --lookup-gap 0 --gpu-fan 55-75 --difficulty-multiplier 0.0039062500 pause
I used this config, and it works. Yes, I'm using 4.1.The difficulty command does matter 0MH without it.

LG p880
i get following results.
GroestlHashTBL : 10,7115 kh/s ( 10240 hashes in 0.93 sec) GroestlHashBSL : 3.6007 kh/s ( 10240 hashes in 2.7 sec) Neon Version : groestlhashneon 35.79 kh/s (10240 hashes in 0.27 sec)
Thank you for this. I inserted your results into the spreadsheet. Your device is quad core, so in theory you could be getting about 140KHs (that't about 10 GRS per day). There is also the possibility of doing hashing in RenderScript, which will involve GPU on the device. Your GPU is 12-core, so should be a nice speed boost. I might look into RenderScript later. This is a big f*ing deal imo I believe that chip pulls 1.9w, lets call it 2. ( srcxxx - just the one thread per core?) SO… 2w >140 kH/s = 100w > 7000KH/s = ARM same power efficiency as GPU's! this is only the beginning people…

--gpu-memclock 1600No point in this I run my 5850 (stock 725/1000) at 800/350 Downclock memory and save lots of power

Yeah, although I think you can clock the memory too low. With a 5870, memory at 600 MHz or 1100 MHz makes no difference hashrate-wise, but if I clock lower than 600, the hashrate drops...

I'm currently testing a new GRS pool using NOMP ( https://github.com/zone117x/node-open-mining-portal). The pool doesn't require registration, just point your miners to stratum+tcp://cryptohunger.com:3000 and specify your GRS wallet as user name, password is ignored. 1.8% prop, payouts every minute, minimum payout 10 GRS. Note: fee is rather high, because NOMP pays for orhpaned blocks and there is no extra auto/manual transaction fee. UI frontend here (not much info currently, you can't even see your personal hashrate) Currently in BETA status, use at your own risk. I'm running it overnight with my rigs and will let you know tomorrow if it is safe to use. If you feel adventurous - join me. And if you find problems - let me know and switch to other pool (like the currently running grs.cryptohunger.com). As per NOMP documentation, everything should work right out of the box, but you never know. PS: I'm planning to use this pool setup for future Android/Web mining endeavours, as it doesn't require any registration. So you'd be able to mine straight out of your wallet.

OK, srcxxx, so here's feedback: 1. HelloNeon yields 6.9-7.2 KH/s for TBL / 2 KH/s for BSL / 17.85 KH/s for NEON. 2. Excelent design for the paper wallet. Congrats! 3. NOMP will be tested later on, today.

I love this coin, but best to mine is now KimoCoin and Im leaving thisone and start mining KMC. There is now such a great block reward!
srly, kimocoin is a scrypt-N copy/paste coin. I don't want to spam your thread, but i was looking at kimocoin search on btctalk forum and found this one. I'm the dev of KMC, if you say so explain it. Maybe you can do in our official thread or via PM, but don't say what is not responding to the truth. Thanks My regards.

I've got a couple of spare BTC for speculative coins that have something interesting to add.
I mined GRS shortly after launch to test the energy saving benefits. It is by far the best.
What's the general plan for GRS?
