Lens team lost yesterday after a big undefeated streak i think this is their second loss this season and they were beaten by nice team i didn't expect them to perform this poorly i think this is their worst game this season in term of performance but it was a deserved win for nice, they were on a roll recently 10 points from four games is empressive after the bad season they were having, after losing yesterday lense now are in the third position after marseille win gainst Nantes.

I was supporting Lens to challenge psg for the Ligue 1 title, and they were doing very good and were so close to psg, but then they drew 1-1 against Troyes, and lost 1-0 to Nice a few days later, this has affected them so much on the Ligue 1 table, they have even fallen below Marseille and are now in third position, while Marseille are in second place. I felt this season would have been a good time for a different French club than psg to win the Ligue 1 title, psg aren't playing in their best way, but there is no team that is ready enough to go ahead of them in the table, so they will be Ligue 1 champions again.

PSG is one of the best teams in League 1. They have been winning their titles for the past few years. But I think PSG needs to have a strong opponent in League One.

It's possible that Lens may rediscover their form and challenge PSG.

As I said in a previous post, Lens is not strong enough to be one of the strong contenders for the Ligue 1 trophy. after all, PSG is still too strong for its opponents in this competition. although in several matches, PSG experienced a decline in performance plus several of its players were injured. Mbappe's absence in the coming weeks will not have a big impact on the Ligue 1 competition. But it will be a problem when PSG host Bayern.

Speaking of Lens, in his last two matches in Ligue 1. Lens did not get satisfactory results. even though, their opponent was a team that could be said to be not too strong. next, Lens has quite tough matches including leaving one meeting against PSG and Marseille. I doubt they will be able to maintain the consistency of their performance, until the end of this season.

Meanwhile, Marseille has been able to shift the ranking that has been occupied by Lens so far. Igor Tudor's squad won seven games out of eight in the second half of the season.  even so, at least Marseille and Lens, still have a chance to compete with the top standings. even then, if PSG experienced some problems when carrying out match after match in Ligue 1.

Like Montpellier we expect PSG to win by 2/3 goals. And PSG played very well in this match. And if PSG can perform like that in the upcoming matches then they will have no problem winning. But I think PSG's aim now is to perform well and win the Champions League match against Bayern Munich. The performance of the Bayern Munich team is now somewhat unstable. So PSG has a good chance to win. But it cannot be predicted which team will win. Because both have strong squads and experienced players.

I do agree that they may focus on UCL a bit more than the league, they have done it before and they have showed that they are willing to put players that are from the bench to play during the league games in between the UCL games.

We know how there are games like on Tuesday you play in UCL and then on Saturday a league game and the following Tuesday another UCL game? Well that Saturday game could be played with bench level players to give their starting eleven players some rest, maybe not all of them but some of them, definitely Messi and Neymar for example who are a bit more carefully looked after. That's just my guess though, maybe they will just play everyone all the time unless they are injured.

Actually I can't say Lens played badly against Nice. They were quite effective on the front. They had a huge opportunity to get ahead first in the first half as well but Schmeichel did a really nice job to prevent them there. Nice's goal was totally due to a defensive mistake. Machado was sleeping there while Laborde finishing the attack with a goal by a single touch. Fofana was really close to scoring the equalizer later on but he targeted the goal post I'm afraid.

Lens could have got one point at least. Now they are behind Marseille and Marseille definitely deserved the position after a great form.

Nice managed to thwart Lens's beautiful expectations and succeeded in making PSG happy. Lens 1-0 narrow defeat over Nice was really unexpected. I don't know what's wrong with Nice, even though they really dominated the match from the start. PSG will face Toulouse and if PSG win then there will be no more teams that can catch them (PSG must doesn't lose again).

I see a bit of a decline in the PSG team. Neymar, Mbappe, Messi chemistry we have not seen till date. But it must be accepted that PSG is the best in League 1.

PSG won't be able to achieve much in the Champions League I'm pretty sure. Because even if the team has the best stars, the understanding between them is not good So PSG will want to do well in Ligue 1.

Anything other than PSG winning the Ligue 1 would be a surprise to everyone, but PSG suffers from one weakness: at times they totally get off track in their minds. They literally lose their minds and fall apart as a squad. So far they have managed to keep critics quiet very well because Messi, Neymar and Mbappe handled their statuses quite well and more or less respected each other. They also haven't really been under pressure. Now this could really change if they drop another three points in a game and are in real danger to lose the lead in any game afterwards. That is when more discussions might arise among the top stars as well. Who is going to take a penalty? Or the free kick? Or why did someone not pass the ball in a certain position? These questions usually don't arise as much when everything goes smooth all the time and everyone is scoring and winning. Put on top of that their schedule and the upcoming Champions League games when they also might want to leave some off the players at home during Ligue 1 games.

Overall I believe that this season isn't over yet and it could perhaps become very interesting once more. It already started with Mbappe's injury.

In last five meetings Marseille never lost against Nice with current form is also favourable for the home team they have good record in last few games just having draw against the Monaco, but currently Nice is not at the level of Monaco and have no chance to create any problems for them after long gape now Marseille is also doing good job and have good reward for their performance they are able to achieve second spot in league table and now having challenge from PSG for the top rank because PSG is having injuries issue which can help them for having good chance for the Marseille to give them fight for the title race.

Lens were also in good shape but suddenly poor run give them below, and now they are at the third spot with still have time and chance to achieve their spot back from Marseille which is surely not easy but still all things possible in the game.

After having few poor results now they are back in their business specially while they were preparing for their big game against Bayern Munich which is having just few days, and they are missing their star player Mbappé through injury and good support from the Nice as they defeated Lens in away game and create good difference in points which was cutting through good performance from the Lens in last few weeks.

Now we have two good games which will also having good impact on the league table first PSG is going to host Toulouse which is currently best in form and doing amazing job after this match we have Marseille vs Nice which is also now having second spot and wants to stay here until end of this season for the direct qualification into Champions League.

PSG has odds @1.43 and no wonder why the odds for them quite low because obviously they are the favourite to win this match and actually it's not so difficult for PSG to win the match because from recent meetings PSG has gets 6 winning streak from Toulouse before but if i am not mistaken PSG will playing without several keys players such as Ramos, Mbappe and Neymar who got injured and Verratti who got suspension and i think losing these players will have any effect for PSG performance but they still have Messi and after world cup his performance quite stable although he haven't scored many goals yet but sometimes Messi can scoring important goals and bringing PSG to win the match

Today, nothing interesting for me, more important is tomorrow's Derby de la Cote D'Azur! I would normally want to support Nice in that game, but at the same time I would be very happy to see Marseille close the gap or actually, depending on today result, maintain the gap! In any case, this was last season's most famous game so let's see if there is more fire and blood;) There is hope too because Toulouse have won their last 3 games by coming from behind, so we know they are on great form.
