I don't think there's really been an incredible amount of pressure on PSG after their first defeat of the season against Lens, which was obvious against Angers.

There were good expectations from PSG and their attack for having the good number of goals but right now they are not playing with their full approach because they are trying to have balance in their game and players also need to be fit for the next games which are going to be tough Angers is having no win from their last 10 games, and they are having the worst defense but still we have only two goals from them PSG with Messi is also now in action after having tag of GOAT with win of the world cup 2022 in Qatar.

Lens held against Strasbourg which is currently above the Angers and having first point after break but with the current form and quality of Strasbourg most chances they could be relegated because they have no enough quality and performance in first half of the season.

I even thought they would score more than 2 goals, but they were only able to score 2 goals through Hugo Ekitike and Lionel Messi. This was a victory which was not surprising at all as they were indeed big favorites in this clash. Lionel Messi is playing well and continues to show consistency with Paris Saint Germain. Even though at the beginning of his arrival he couldn't adapt quickly, but slowly he found his best game again.

mbappe did not participate in this match, maybe if he does we will see PSG score more than 2 goals there. Another very interesting match was Nice vs Montpellier, in that match NICE managed to win with a score of 6-1, there were 2 NICE players who scored 2 goals each, it was Pepe and Barkley. slowly but surely, NICE is starting to rise again.

Mbappe is a player that can change so much, he is the type of player that could end up winning it at all wherever he is and that's an important thing. The best thing about the situation we are in right now is the fact that Mbappe is still there at PSG for a long time and even if he misses a few games that doesn't mean that they are going to be bad on the long term, they are going to be great as long as he is there. They could sell Neymar or Messi and would still be great because of two things.

First of all they have Mbappe, that is good enough, secondly they have money which means they can replace anyone else by spending a lot of money to get a close level new player.

It's good enough now for Marseille especially with this they are now starting to get back to good form and haven't lost again during their last few matches in Ligue1.
Marseille's dominance was visible from the start of the kick off and they really did a good job in this match because of 2 goals in the first half and early in the second half and with their possession it was very difficult for Troyes to change this result.

Marseille didn't fail in their last matches which is a good thing. Their last match was vs Troyes which isn't that top but their next game will be more challenging vs Lorient
This round was bad for Lille, Lyon, Rennes and Lens. Monaco and Lorient got a draw which is a fair enough result for both but not good in terms of table points gap.
Overall only PSG and Marseille got 3 points between the top 8 teams

The point gap is quite close now and I won't be surprised if Marseille get ahead of them in the near future. Marseille have a much better squad before anything else. They are able to show this by their performance these days as well. They are still on a nice winning streak.

Lens still beat them by 1-0 away before though but I think the scenario could be different when they play against each other again. Marseille have a really good team effort now and the Troyes game was one of the good examples for it.

Regardless of Messi or anyone, when a match is played by two teams that are not as strong as PSG vs Angers. It didn't feel like the match was that exciting to watch even though it took place at home to PSG with the clear favorites to win. So I'm also not surprised by this easy win for PSG at home.

I don't think so. Lens got some draws but lens is pretty strong compared with marseille at this moment. Both can try to surpass each other anytime. Lens may able to come back again. Merseille was so good.

Marseille is more likely to be in second place in the Ligue 1 standings than Lens, and that makes a lot of sense considering their consistency in being in the top 5 over the past 5 seasons. Apart from that, Ligue 1 also still has a lot of matches.

OFC, we can't use their last meeting as a reference, take a closer to look at their H2H, you'll find an interesting fact that the majority of their meetings at the Estadio Bollaert-Delelis, Lens almost always lose.

But if you look at PSG's next schedule, they will face Rennes, which is one of the top 4 teams in the standings, this is likely a quite difficult match for PSG because they have to continue to widen the gap from Lens and Rennes don't seem to want to lose either because they also want to continue to widen the gap from Monaco. Rennes vs PSG both have their own targets, this will be an exciting match.

Currently, Marseille can focus more on Ligue 1 competence after being eliminated from the Champions League. Marseille had experienced difficult weeks, after playing matches with a busy schedule. Plus, some of the players are exhausted, also, some are injured. in the second half of this season, Marseille progressed with three wins which left Igor Tudor's army only two points apart from 2nd place in the standings, Lens. therefore, Marseille has the potential to return to second place in the Ligue 1 standings, especially if Lens slips in the following matches.
IMO, Marseille has better depth than Lens, and Igor Tudor's squad should be able to boost their players to perform with stable performance.

On the other hand, Lens also have matches that should be easy for them in the next few weeks. it's just that, I quite doubt they will still appear with a very stable performance. at its peak, Lens has a game against Marseille, also has matches against other tough teams like visiting PSG headquarters. for sure, Lens will find it difficult to maintain their ranking on the Ligue 1 standings.

Yeah but i think that there would be no lots of different even when mpabbe was playing. Just caused by a player and it doesn't mean it can change the result drastically. NICE has been fully dominating the match against montpellier. Nice was able to stay at the 10th position now.
As far as i can see that if nice still did so well from the last matches. You can see that if nice was only losing once from five matches. That proves that if nice has better performance compared with montpellier.
I don't know why neymar was always making something that didn't needed just like getting yellow card against angers.

It was a very tough rivalry for PSG this season starting in the round of 16 because of some of the results of their meetings in past matches, Bayern Munich won more matches, even in the Champions League final in 2019 - 2020 PSG was defeated by Bayern Munich so for this season is another opportunity for PSG to repay him from the start because PSG already have a very complete player with some great stars in it.

It was a very tough rivalry for PSG this season starting in the round of 16 because of some of the results of their meetings in past matches, Bayern Munich won more matches, even in the Champions League final in 2020 PSG was defeated by Bayern Munich so for this season is another opportunity for PSG to repay him from the start because PSG already have a very complete player with some great stars in it.

I watched the match from start to finish, so I know exactly how PSG are doing during the match. I just don't believe that PSG was only able to score 2 goals, while there were many good opportunities that they got alternately. If there's a player who hasn't been good throughout the match, then I think it's Neymar.

So it's true, Angers is not a team that worth it PSG's quality in that match.

Even though PSG were only able to score two goals, this match was a stage for Nordi Mukiele. Even though his original position was playing as a left back, Christophe Galtier put Nordi Mukiele in the left midfield position with Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha and Juan Bernat, because the coach used a 3-4-2-1 formation and proved to be able to carry out his duties very well, so Nordi's role Mukiele in maintaining PSG's rhythm of play looked so prominent in this match.

Lens' future in their current position in the league is ambiguous. Because they don't have a very reliable form as of now. The Nice and Strasbourg draws have affected them quite negatively. They should have won against especially Strasbourg. Because Strasbourg are having a very bad season and they are one of the likely teams to relegate from the Ligue 1 as well. Lens can't be comfortable about losing points in such matches if they want to keep their claim for the title - which is not very realistic but they can at least stay in the title race theoretically for a long time.

They can at least join the Champions League by finishing at the third position at worst. I think Marseille will finish as the second and there will be a rivalry among Lens, Monaco and Rennes for the third position.
