Lens' future in their current position in the league is ambiguous. Because they don't have a very reliable form as of now. The Nice and Strasbourg draws have affected them quite negatively. They should have won against especially Strasbourg. Because Strasbourg are having a very bad season and they are one of the likely teams to relegate from the Ligue 1 as well. Lens can't be comfortable about losing points in such matches if they want to keep their claim for the title - which is not very realistic but they can at least stay in the title race theoretically for a long time.

They can at least join the Champions League by finishing at the third position at worst. I think Marseille will finish as the second and there will be a rivalry among Lens, Monaco and Rennes for the third position.

Without any competition, I don't think it's fair, PSG should also have strong competition from Lens and other teams where PSG can also drop points.
The problem is not with PSG, but other teams are unable to maintain the form and consistency of their performance. PSG with all their qualities can do it, and that's why they are ahead of the rest in Ligue 1.

If PSG have no rivals, then I really don't know what Ligue 1 is for.

It was the last time they were able to defeat Rennes here. Since then Rennes have been really impressive by keeping them away from a win. I think they are still on track because regardless their progress this season has been pretty good. I might correct a little in this regard because even from the last 3 seasons PSG has always been said to have great potential but in the end they always miss it because of the lack of performance aimed at the Champions League.

I don't see a chance that Auxerre will be able to surprise this match, Lens must be able to make good use of their strengths, so in this match they will be able to win very easily. Their 4 consecutive defeats is proof that Auxerre is not a team that can be considered, unless Lens plays badly in this match.
