Yeah, Rennes definitely deserved that win against PSG. Even though both teams had 8 shots, Rennes took advantage of their opportunities better and that's what ultimately led to the victory. It's definitely a tough loss for PSG, especially with Messi's return, but that's just how it goes sometimes. i didn't see PSG try that much even when they were losing, it's like they are already thinking about the Champions League, and even with a team like Lens being this close to PSG in standings, i don't think people would actually bet on Lens to win the league, we know that PSG can beat any team in Ligue 1, but upsets against Rennes or Lens happen from time to time, and it doesn't mean that they will keep playing terribly in the upcoming matches, i'm sure they will find their way to victory in the next rounds.

Sometimes having world-class players doesn't necessarily make winning easy and that's what PSG is feeling right now. IMO, uninteresting fight. and yes, according to what I previously suspected that the home team will play with defensive tactics. in the end, Rennes was able to overthrow PSG and the tactics implemented by Bruno Genesio went according to plan. Initially I thought Galtier would play Mbappe in the main starting line-up in this match.

Before, my estimation PSG will overthrow the home team easily. however, not what I expected. yes, it turns out that Galtier is trying to experiment again in this fight. from the last two matches, PSG did not play with its best performance. there were several opportunities they had, unfortunately the Galtier troop squad was unable to convert them into goals. Yes, the whole PSG squad almost walked, it is unclear what happened to them, maybe they got tired, and maybe they do not want to play. Yeah, that's what im thinking about but people keep talked that those trio owned by PSG will make the team to win easily in any competition while we do know that those trio were even unable to win the champion league. Having so many world class players are clueless if the team could not won the most prestigious trophy like UCL. The club like city was also spending so much money to win EPL but it was never make it. I expect PSG will not get champion league for this season. I consider reimms and motpellier as easy team to be beaten by PSG.
Those trio may be very useful against the weak teams in the upcoming match.

Galtier reveals the main reason why his team lost even though they played their star players. According to him, PSG's front line in the match was dull. Rennes played more defensively than PSG, who played attacking from the first half.
PSG dominated attack and they controlled a good percentage of possession but failed to score in their attempts.
PSG coach (Christophe Galtier) blamed the trio and other players in that match for failing to win the match against Rennes. He thinks all the players who were previously involved in the World Cup are still affected by the World Cup euphoria which causes them to lose their best playing rhythm.

I don't know what the problem is, but I think Christophe Galtier still has the impression that his current attackers are still affected by the World Cup moment. But in my opinion his comments really don't make sense because in the previous match PSG managed to win the match well even with the same players.

I don't know what PSG is doing lately but losing 2 games in 3 played does not look that well and even in the game at home against Angers,a team in the end of the standings they had difficulties scoring more goals comparing the team quality of PSG.Don't get me wrong,I am sorry for the people who bet on PSG but I am also happy for the Ligue 1 which is slow-slow gradually being open again,many of the following teams like Lens,Marseille,Lille,Monaco and Rennes are showing somewhat of a good consistency which in turn can help this league to become interesting again after being lately dominated by PSG.

Yet they are staying at the top despite the recent losses.

It's against the club that trying to reach the top 5 , rennes can never be underestimated and psg losing focus on it , 1-0 lost to rennes .. andd 3-1 lost to rc lens .. that should not acceptable as the fans expectation always really high to keep winning in every single match. It's notmal thing for me tho.

I have this notion Gultier is been careful with his key players this period because it barely 4 weeks to the big match against Bayern so they are not really been much serious with their ligue 1 games. But PSG stil has three point above Lens and i am sure their subsequent matches will cover up for the two matches they have lost so far. PSG will always deliver but this period the UCL RO16 is a big distraction but i am sure they won't want to lose point to drop from the top.

With this kind mentality to not keeping the performance on top level in any competition , they might get destroyed much more worse later ... as the CL is a big stage and when it comes to such a big event , sometimes skills mean nothing but the mentality , so far this PSG team has not that winning mentality.
