The big match in Ligue 1 between Marseille vs Monaco ended in a 1-1 draw which made the competition for the teams in the top 4 of the standings heat up. As hosts, Marseille failed to secure 3 points and had to settle for sharing 1 point with the opponent Monaco. Even so, actually Marseille could have won this match if only in the first half Jordan Veretout did not make the mistake of anticipating the direction of his header which resulted in the ball going into his own net. With this result Monaco has a 2-point difference from Marseille and in the next match it will be even more exciting for the two teams to maintain the standings.

i think the chances of Lens winning Ligue 1 are very slim, they are currently in a fight with Marseille and probably Monaco for the CL qualification ticket, nothing changed between them in this round since the three of them drew, there is still more rounds and fittest by the end is going to take the 2nd place.

Lens got disappointed result against monaco. I meant let's see the match between lens and troyes. Lens has very big ball possessions while troyes got small ball possessions. Lens got so many chances while troyes get only shot on goal.
I think that lens is so bad in executing the chance to be a goal. It can be seen from the performance against troyes. Lens has been wasting so many chances against troyes. Troyes was going all in defense against lens.
That's very bad result for lens to lose two points against troyes which was easy opponent.

The results of these two teams allowed Paris Saint Germain to breathe a little easier because for a while Lens was mainly hampered in continuing to collect points in order to continue to approach Paris Saint Germain. They have one important job to do this week, they need to win the game against Reims to widen their points gap again. Of the last 5 meetings between Paris Saint Germain and Reims, Paris Saint Germain has always won and only tasted 1 draw in their last match. So most likely this match will belong to Paris Saint Germain. It makes perfect sense given that the four teams in the top five of the Ligue1 standings didn't win. Three of them (Lens, Marseille and Monaco) drew and Rennes was also beaten by Lorient, giving PSG a bigger chance in terms of staying at the top of the Ligue1 standings because today PSG will play at home to Reims and there is a possibility for PSG to win in today's match.

I also don't understand why Lens could have a draw with Troyes, even though Lens is already very close to PSG and has the opportunity to continue to stick to PSG in the standings until the end of the season, but Lens was unable to be consistent in the match against Troyes so Lens had to be willing with this draw even if it wasn't the result they wanted.

PSG got a very good opportunity to outperform Lens by increasing the point gap. I hope PSG will not waste this golden opportunity. PSG must bet with all their might in order to increase the points against Lens because this will greatly affect the results at the end of the season. Lens is very attached to PSG in this regard. Damn!, apparently that's what made me fail to win my bet. I didn't watch the game so I don't know what happened, I think the fault lies with Rennes, as it turns out the Lorient keeper made a win for them possible after his brilliant saves. With the results in the last game they got, they are getting closer to the top 5, I don't think it's impossible that they will be at least in third place at the end of the season.

Yes, I share your dismay with recent results in Lens and Marseille. It's providing PSG a significant advantage in the championship battle. But Lens should not be dismissed just yet. I checked the game and found that they had 74% possession and 21 shots against Troyes, yet they didn't score until the 88th minute. Certainly not satisfactory if they aim to challenge for first place. Their finishing and ability to convert opportunities into goals is severely lacking. There's still a lot of time in the season, though, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Lens can rally and win the championship in the end.

Paris Saint-Germain FC suffered some incredible points losses after the World Cup. I never expected them to perform like this. I guess no one expected. Messi won the World Cup. Mbappe played in the final. They returned to the team with high morale. However, they did not create a positive reflection on the team. Messi, Neymar and Mbappe must reorganize and give Paris Saint-Germain FC the football they deserve. On the other hand, Reims have been undefeated for 11 weeks. They did not start the season well. But their performances picked up afterwards. Reims will not be an easy opponent in this match for Paris Saint-Germain FC. But Reims will find a Paris Saint-Germain FC that needs to win.

So, let's see, now PSG will play their match against Reims at their home turf. according to several sources that I have read, Galtier is ready to play back his core starting line-up. at least, PSG are starting to get serious about widening the gap in points from teams that are below their ranking. only four games remaining for PSG, before playing the Champions League match against Bayern Munich in the first leg. for sure, Galtier will focus more on his team to get full points in each of his matches before the round of 16 of the Champions League starts again.

Different from Lens, Lens should have been able to get full points in that match. the reason is, Troyes is not a team that is too tough for them to overthrow. but it seems, Lens started to face some tough matches in the second half of this season. in fact, I'm pretty sure that Marseille will shift Lens' ranking on the standings board in the next few weeks.
