Marseille have finally put an end to their bad streak against Lyon by a 1-0 win. I was waiting for this even though Marseille didn't have a good form. Teams like this care about finishing their bad series with a big game when there is an opportunity. We have a fresh Liverpool example as they beat Tottenham and did the same.

On the other hand this match could have ended the other way around too. Because after scoring the equalizer Lorient found another absolute goal chance with Moffi to get 2-1 ahead. But his shot bounced off the goal post and relieved PSG players very much. Ekitike found some important chances to score but wasted them. He still made an assist though. Neymar was the shining star in this match by one goal and one assist. Messi wasn't able to play due to achilles tendon injury as far as I know. But they still got the win anyway.

Lorient which was second in league table now having the worst time and not able to win any match from last four matches but still done good job against world's toughest attack and not allowed them to play freely with they were able to have late goal for their win against them with this win now they are widening gape from second rank team Lens, but things are surely positive for them and they are going to be winner of this season again without any challenge because no club able to resist against them in current conditions as they are best in business and their quality players are giving their best.

In this match most were expecting good number of goals from PSG but Lorient defence were good and adjusted which help their team for having good resistance and not allow players like Mbappé and Neymar to have ruined them in this game as Messi was not available in this match through his injury.

Marseille have just come back from a slump by picking up points in this week's game, it is undeniable that their 4 matches without a win will lower their confidence a bit. But they were lucky enough with their only goal in the first half which they could defend until the end of the game. I didn't watch this match, but based on the data and statistics we have and based on what I predicted before. in this match, Mbappe will find it difficult to score goals without the presence of Messi who usually always gives him easy assists. and true, even though Mbappe had several chances, he couldn't take every opportunity he had to score.

Mbappe is already Mbappe, the point is that Neymar is going through both a personal problem right now in Brazil (legal issues) and also there were a lot of talks about him not being wanted by Mbappe, whereas he is doing great right now, even Mbappe has to accept that Neymar is playing wonderful, so maybe he will accept playing together.

Messi on the other hand is another topic, he is great, he was always great but last season he just had an adjustment period when he didn't play this good, now he is having stats that are out of this world all over again, if they win UCL then I really wouldn't be shocked if he wins Ballon d'or all over again at this age. So Mbappe is still great, but he was always great, the other two being great is newsworthy though.

It's true that neymar is at least playing this season, it seems that after Mbappe's complaints, neymar's constant injuries that only made him play a few games in each season are gone, now he's playing often, he's scoring goals, but always there's something about neymar to appear in the press, there's always some scandal. the guy just can't stay a season without having problems.

in the case of messi and mbappe they manage to stay out of trouble both on the field and in their personal lives. maybe in part I have to agree with Mbappe, neymar plays well, but he is not very responsible and is not a good example for other players when it comes to behavior, but in terms of talent as a player he is excellent

Lyon continued to attack and created several chances in this match but unfortunately Marseille's defense was still disciplined enough to keep its territory.

Lyon played well, but Marseille put the ball in the back of the net. Both teams had more chances to get ahead on the scoreboard, but they failed to do so.

This match was certainly not compatible for PSG. I think if the goalkeeper of Lorient did not make a mistake towards the start of the match this actually could have been a draw. I also think that Lorient was quite unlucky because one of their shots came back off the post. And the goal that Lorient scored was also unbelievable. This was a shaky performance from PSG, not gonna lie. This could easily have gone the other way around. Obviously, Messi is not going to play because he gives a lot more importance to the World Cup right now compared to his club's football.

As I understand it, Messi has nothing serious, otherwise all the media would have been trumpeting that he might miss the World Cup. By the way, PSG will be very lucky if Messi misses the games with Bayern - he has a lot of experience in losing to them 
I'm more interested in Mbappe's situation - it will be interesting to see his reaction when PSG get knocked out by Bayern (I hope) and he leaves the tournament again in the 1/8 finals.
