There has been a big downgrade in Monaco's performance in the league for the last two years. They finished the 2021/22 season in 3rd place but they finished as 6th last season. Technically they collected only 4 less points than the 2021/22 season. But this wasn't good enough to compete for a Champions League spot. They even couldn't qualify for any European cup this time.

After Philippe Clement era came to an end as of this result they have brought Adolf Hütter to the team. I won't make the obvious joke about his name.    He worked with some German teams like Gladbach and Frankfurt most recently. He has zero experience with a French team in his career.

However hopefully this won't affect his adaptation process in a bad way. Maybe Monaco don't have a squad like they had in the 2016/17 season in which they won the Ligue 1 title with Leonardo Jardim. But they can still do better things like getting in the fight for 2nd or 3rd place again.

last season monaco's big problem was in the defence, they were so bad that i was always thinking how the hell the coach didn't realize that that defense urgently needed a reform, and honestly i don't expect that this season anything will change in relation to monaco , they will probably finish in a worse position or at best and if they manage to finish in the same position as last season, if they wanted to go far then they would have hired a good coach and made a lot of changes in the defense. so i see monaco worse or same thing

In my opinion it's not a drama but just a rumour. So far there is no concrete news or action from Mbappe or PSG. We are talking about a lot of money and nobody wants to pay a fine or lose a player for nothing. And what is written on the internet, it depends on the sanity of the author. I think there will be no drama with Mbappe. If he can't leave this season, he will leave next season.

If you look at the statistics last season with Chelsea, Aubameyang is no longer a priority for Chelsea coach Pochettino for next season. It is reported that the Gabon striker will be released by Chelsea management and coach Marcelino Garcia Toral from Marseille is reportedly interested in recruiting Aubameyang to Ligue 1 in this transfer market. It's quite interesting to see that there are still European clubs who are interested in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, he's actually not an extraordinary player in every club where he never played in one full season, his best period was when he was still a Borussia Dortmund player and two seasons at Arsenal but after that there wasn't much for this player to make.
If the news is true that's a good thing for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as Chelsea don't seem like the right fit for him, even after reportedly going to the Saudi Pro Liga there's no news on his fate, and pretty sure he's not a player that is in the Pochettino project. The price of this player will certainly not be high, the current market price is only 4 million Euros, maybe Marseille will get the player at the market price or maybe below because it seems impossible for Chelsea to keep him who is old enough for now.

maybe some people or even Chelsea officials think that Aubameyang has lost his good performance after reaching an almost old age, but for Marseille a player like Aubameyang still has good performance if he can be appreciated and invited to work together, given enthusiasm and trained regularly. do we know that several times Aubameyang trained himself to be the best as no one appreciated his efforts even though his own coach and I agree if Aubameyang really moved to Marseille who could appreciate Aubameyang's performance more.

I mentioned here the extra power PSG management gave him to keep Mbappe at the club when he announced his move from PSG the previous season. PSG cannot always force Kylian Mbappe to stay, but of course several other approaches can be made to persuade him to stay for the next few seasons. At least PSG still have plenty of time to make some efforts with Mbappe, but I'm sure Kylian Mbappe will eventually move on to another team.

As for Neymar, he is 31 years old with a long history of injuries, and I don't think he will carry the team. He is still the best striker in the world, but he plays with instinct and emotion rather than responsibility.

Previously Renan Lodi was not well known to many people, even though he had played for Atletico Madrid and Nottingham Forest. But in terms of game play, this guy wasn't too bad. I remember when against Manchester United in the Champions League, he managed to get a scored through his head, and even then when Atletico Madrid played at Old Trafford. And yeah with his not too bad experience outside ligue 1, he will be gradually learn adapt to his new team.

It is not that easy for PSG. The Messi, Neymar and Mbappe connection was an exception because strong players do usually not want to go Ligue 1. Haaland never considered for a moment to go to PSG and it makes sense to me as he quickly realized that it would have been a massive waste of his potential and his career. Nobody cares whether he scores 20 or 30 goals in Ligue 1, but everybody cared whether he is going to break the records in the Premier League. Someone who does that must be a world class player and it counts a lot.

That "money" part is the important part. Sure maybe there are some issues at PSG right now, but they are still collecting players like candy, look at how many good players they already got this season, which means that all the players that play there currently could leave, and PSG would still be the richest club, which means that they will be capable of getting much better players eventually as well.

It looks like we are not going to end up with a good result like that, but we can and I am sure that they are going to do much better. Hopefully we can see PSG do better, because so far they have spent a lot of money that didn't get what they want, and this year could be very difficult as well but they could get it eventually.

My personal opinion is that as long as PSG does not have good competition in the league, they are not going to be ready to perform well in the Champions League, does not matter how well the squad is. They will probably be ready if they continuously play against bigger opponents. But they simply do not have big opponents in the Ligue 1. They are basically farming the league titles. I doubt obviously destroys the competitive integrity of the players. The players are taking everything easy the whole season and suddenly they are asked to perform well in the Champions League semifinals. That is hard to achieve.
