There are two days left for the second week of the season. The new week will start with the Liverpool - Burnley game. Liverpool started the season with a huge victory against Norwich in an away game. I was happy to see that Virgil van Dijk bounced back and started to play. Now, their opponent are Burnley and I'm expecting Liverpool to simply destroy them also.
I don't think Liverpool will have hard moments against Burnley considering the performance of each team and especially the first round results. For Saturday's games I want to see if Brentford will continue its surprising start and if Leeds will recover from its huge defeat when facing Everton.

One of the matches that has drawn my attention this week is Leeds v Everton. Leeds started the season really bad by having a huge defeat against Manchester United, 5-1. On the other hand, Everton defeated Southampton 3-1. This is definitely a decent start for them. Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin were the stars of the match. But I must say that Doucoure's goal was really great. The shot found the net right in the top right corner.
In this match, I'm supporting Everton. I think they are one step ahead and they will win this.
On the contrary, Leeds United did not have a bad start to the season, they simply lost to a more quality and fitter side than them. Manchester United outfitted Leeds United in every aspect of the game. The same cannot be mentioned for Everton who scrabbled through a win against a Southampton side that lost Ings to Aston Villa. 2 mid table teams and I see a first league victory for Leeds United with a bamford brace One thing is certain that this is not going to be an easy match for both of these teams. I expect both teams to score in this one for certain. Maybe we both won't be able to predict the result correctly and it will end in a draw like 1-1 or 2-2.

Arsenal is a very good example of the club that is run as a business without regards to their supporters. While most of the teams are in the red with the money Arsenal has always been very profitable for the owners. While that is hard for the supporters which are used to the old glory days I don't think club management intends to change their policy anytime soon. And while situation remains the same they will not fight for the title for sure and will be very happy with European qualification. Champions League could also be out of the reach this season since as you say most of the big clubs have much better rosters than Arsenal.
This is a great marketing model and Arsenal's shareholders are undoubtedly happy, but this kind of business cannot last long. I mean, if a team does not win anything for a long time, interest in it decreases even from the fans, not to mention ordinary football lovers, and this is reflected in income. Plus, one must take into account that by not participating in such competitions as the Champions League, Arsenal loses a lot of money.

While this is true, this isn't likely to be sustainable for the long term. For example, recent years they've seen a notable decline in league positions, and the types of players that they are signing. I for one don't consider Ben White to be the caliber that a big club like Arsenal should be signing, and that's especially true when I believe they've overpaid for him at 50 million pounds. Arsenal need a breath of fresh air, because honestly I don't see them finishing above 8th this year. The decline from the Wenger days is crazy, they were known for their consistency, and good signings. Okay, they didn't sign a lot of players, but when they did they were usually good business. These days it doesn't seem like they are making any of the right moves for the longevity of the club.

If anyone still wants to play the Sportsbet sponsored Premier League pool there's still time. Superbru gives you 14 'default picks' if you miss the games based on the most likely result and if you sign up now you will be given six points automatically (which is only 2.5 less than what I got this round and the people at the bottom of the table only got 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 so you will be above them at least). If anyone wants to play but can't pay just yet I will give you until the end of the month to do so, so just PM me. Next round starts on Saturday so still time to sign up and play. Sign up here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5352374.0There are two days left for the second week of the season. The new week will start with the Liverpool - Burnley game. When it comes to Leeds vs Everton, I feel like this match can end in a draw with goals. These two teams are both capable of scoring goals easily. I think that Leeds will get ahead two times against Everton but at the end they will get a 2-2 draw. The players who I expect to score are Bamford (2), Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin.

It will be a good test for defense of both teams. Right now given the performance of both teams, Leeds defense might break up before Everton's attack but well let's see. Biesla is nota kind of manager who just sit backs and let the mistake happen over and over again.

This management isn’t trying to do anything tangible about the club, prolly because they’re still faithful fans over the world and he’s still getting the almost desirable profits. I don’t want to judge the manager and his stake now, the league is still young and the transfer window is still open, there have been addition to the team and the first game shouldn’t be a yardstick to criticize the outcome of the club now. The manager had said that he’s open to more signing, even though he’s missing out signing top and experience names. Let’s see how the season goes.

According to reports,Arsenal have agreed deal with Real Madrid over the permanent transfer of Martin Odegard in a bid worth 40 million. The Norwagian player have signed a five year deal with the club to make him the gunner's fourth signing of the summer. The player was Arsenal's top priority when he proved himself at North London over his period of his loan spell at the club.
He was thought to have remained at Madrid, but Ancelotti did not in include him in his plans at the club,he prefers the likes of Isco and other person's at the club so the player opt to join a club that he will be seeing regular football.
Martin Odegard is still a young player. Odegard will become experienced if the Arsenal team can guide him properly. However, I do not trust the Arsenal team. They are not stable as a team. I doubt Martin Odegard will be able to adapt to the other players on his team. Still, it is better for Odegard's future to be a regular performer for Arsenal than to sit on the bench for Real Madrid. Different players adapt differently. They’ve been so many players from the Spanish league that have performed in their first season in the likes of Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Nacho Montreal and Diego costa etc . Some might start counting goals in the early part of the season, Some might take the second season, why other start showing dominance in the first season. It’s all depends on the nature of the player and what is lacking in the team to propel them towards wining ways. Martin Odegaard is a smart and intelligent players who can create spaces even in tight corners. I think it’s a big plus for the arsenal team.

Yes, I noticed that, but I felt bad luck when I saw the result of Arsenal first match , because I placed a bet on Arsenal victory, even against a team that just got promoted (Brentford) to the EPL, they lost In their second match, they will play with Chelsea, it's definitely Chelsea victory I never thought Arsenal will lose their first match against Brentford, who just got promoted to Premier League this season. Arsenal had 65% ball possession in the match, but got beaten in both halves. Chelsea have a very good squad, which I don't think the Gunners will be able to stand, Chelsea will definitely win against Arsenal. Arsenal have to work hard this season if only they want to achieve any title.

Leeds vs Everton will look balanced in this match, but who would have thought that Leeds could turn things around after the first game was bad after being beaten by Manchester United but this time it will not happen again hopefully this can be a victory as the host. But Biesla must be able to carve in the strategy if it stays like that it will be difficult to change formations, but I still have a little faith that Biesla can bring Leeds like last season and will not leave a bad record.

I don't know about Leeds holding down Everton to a draw. I think they are very poor on defense and I can see Everton forwards exploiting that. Maybe playing at home will give them the boost to play better so we'll just have to wait and see. I'm with Everton here and BTTS.

You can't or shouldn't be about the business all the time that you forget that, the fans have got the need for some fun. Winning trophies is also a part of the business and a better way to enjoy being a team. You can imagine Manchester City since they took to buying players and winning trophies. Its only been getting better since then. As a club, you invest in players during the transfer season with a focus. Quality players would win you trophies.

Evertons Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin will be a real threat and I don't see Leeds putting up much of a fight after that display we saw against Manchester United were they got trumped 5-1. Have you all noticed the exciting result from the inaugural EPL match of the season? 10 teams won and 10 teams lost and not a single match ended in a draw. There have been 34 goals scored from 20 EPL teams and Manchester United being the most in the first match. This is a very different and interesting result from all the other big league including Laliga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

Looks very funny with Arsenal last and this season because keep Arteta as coach although failed last year and Arsenal for the first time miss participant on EUROPE league and champion league for last several years. I think Antonio Conte is best option during free transfer after left from Inter Milan, why not failure Arteta and ask Antonio Conte become the next Arsene Wenger, we know how Conte reputation success give many trophies for Juventus, Chelsea and last Inter Milan.

I don't see where Arsenal is trying to be in the TOP, everything looks like the club is dormant. Arsenal was famous for its school and young talents, but they were often criticized for giving too much physical exertion to young players and they, with all their athleticism, were often injured. By the way, now Arsenal young talents, I don't see among their pupils either. Difficult times for the club. Unlike Manchester City and several other top team in the Premier League, Arsenal do not have the money to buy more expensive players to strengthen a team that is considered not serious in the title race. It is natural that most of the top team today have many players with above average abilities because they have enough financial strength to buy expensive players. Do you see Arsenal as one of the richest team in the Premier League at the moment?

We have seen how they survive in stabilizing their internal finances by taking short-term loans. They already owed £170 at the Bank of England. Although short term, but not to buy new players and only to solve operational problems at Arsenal itself.

I think we have to watch a few more games before judging where Arsenal can be placed in the standings table.I think they are a good team overall and most probably they took it a bit easy against Brentford and that is what ruined their first game. When playing at home I think we will see another Arsenal.

Bamford did not play well on the weekend against Manchester United. This might be because Manchester United dominated the game but I was not impressed with his movement. I am a Manchester United fan so I was worried about him carrying his form from last season over to this season and ruining our day but I think he might be a one season wonder. Without him performing to last seasons standards which were very unexpected and high standards I can see Leeds struggling this year and might be fighting to stay out of the relegation zone.
