Manchester City will soon get a new player from Leeds, Kalvin Philips. Reportedly they have a personal agreement between the two. He is rumored to be replacing Fernandinho, who was released by Manchester City, who did not offer a contract extension. This will be a new force for Manchester City to navigate next season.

Manchester City have a great management and I love it. They are signing top players like Haaland and Philips because they want to win the titles next season unlike Chelsea and Manchester united that are busy making noise on which player to sign. Man City main priority is to win UCL next season I believe that prompted the club to sign Haaland, their are some crucial matches where Guordiola played false nine in the absence of Gabriel Jesus or due to some changes in tactical formation, the arrival of Haaland will address that issue, definitely the team will continue to dominate EPL with the quality of players in the squad, however the coveted UCL trophy had remain elusive to the club despite winning the EPL trophy consistently the team is now a complete team and one of the best in Europe.

Since Guardiola was signed, I firmly believe that the Champions League is the ambition they are aiming for in that partnership. But in the last 5 seasons Guardiola has not really managed to achieve it despite being in the final against Chelsea. It's a big push and the ambition to win a first title in the Champions League has cost club owners a lot of money to buy top players. They managed to dominate the Premier League with Guardiola with a total of 4 titles in 5 seasons, but their main mission is the Champions League.

I believe Manchester City have a chance to win it regardless of the timing. Next season they will have a chance, so I just want to see how far their investment in top players leads to success in the Champions League.

I also see the same thing that the main target of Manchester City next season is the Champions League as we know Man City 2 times in the final and lost in these 2 matches
So the arrival of Erling Haaland is expected to strengthen the Man City attack line. So far Manchester City is the most ready team for the Premier League competition this season while other competitors are still in the negotiation stage.

Anything that  leads to the winning of Manchester city they don't take it for granted, Manchester City always take things serious that is why winning is always close to them. The main target for Manchester City is to win UCL, they couldn't win it the last time but their main target for next season is to win that is why they are trying by all means to make their teams stronger against next season.

In's and out of the premier league inter-teams, Arsenal are currently anticipating for the arrival of Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, personal terms must have been agreed on! Newcastle are also recruiting very well, good players with top quality. They will be hot next season.

Arsenal is strongly going for their missed chance of Champions League in last season and Newcastle United's new management having strong case for going into top ten as now they are also looking for strong squad for English Premier League in next two or three years Tottenham is done amazing job in last year and having their spot in Champions League mean they also want more wins and strong case for title.

Manchester City have a great management and I love it. What Manchester City did in my opinion was extraordinary, they really focused on their weakness last season which caused them to be knocked out of the Champions League stage. Kalvin Phillips did not contribute much for Leeds throughout the 2021 season, he only played 20 games in the Premier League and only made 1 assist. these are not good statistics, this 26 year old player I think will be very difficult to compete if he is at Manchester City especially if he is brought in to replace Fernandinho, of course it is a heavy burden he will carry to be able to give his best game, I doubt that.

I think Pep Guardiola has his reasons why he is interested in Calvin Philips. I agree that he will find it difficult to compete in the squad that Manchester City have now. But it seems that Pep sees there is something that can still be extracted from this player who strengthens Leeds. We all know that Pep is good at finding talent from a player.

I think you are judging Kalvin Phillips too much and also to a higher ceiling than usual. Manchester City are Loosing Fernandinho due to his old age and ability to play at the top and Kalvin Phillips is not an attacking midfielder, he is a no 6, who plays the defensive duties in a double pivot midfield role, or plays as a second pivot player who roams the midfield base to provide balance, passing options and also starts attack, ofcourse he cannot have goals and assists. Importantly Pep is not signing him to be scoring or assisting every week, He is a fernandinho replacement and he will do an excellent job at the base of Manchester city midfield

Agree, it is not too far from the expected price but €10m isn't a little money, bro. I assume €10m is very meaningful for Barcelona, especially with their current financial situation. Because of this, I doubt if Barcelona wants to deal with the current offer made by Man United (€65m). Calvin Philips is a player who is projected to replace Fernandiho role in the Manchester City midfield, even though he is still quite young but Calvin Philips is a player who has developed quite well at Leeds United so far, I think he might be able to become one of the great midfielders in the future if under guardiola tutelage, has skills in intercepting and is good at seeing gaps to pass, of course he will be a perfect player in the manchester city center line later.

I think the change in arsenal is very far when compared to when thierry hendry et al played.  currently arsenal is more focused on business just to print talented players and then sell them when the transfer market season begins.  as a big fan of arsenal from the time of coach arsene wenger, arsenal currently doesn't attract my attention anymore, it makes me feel disappointed

Making the right transfers is always important and helpful for a team to be more competitive for the title. So this is the thing Manchester City and Liverpool have done so far. Signing Haaland and Darwin Nunez will make them one step ahead of their opponents already now. I totally agree that winning the UEFA champions league is the main priority next season for Manchester city after  coming so close to the finals but losing to Real Madrid. They are now adding reinforcement to the squad and hoping to be the champions league winners next season. With the Erlin Haaland, and hopefully Philips and Cucurela joining they will have a formidable squad and will stand a chance in the UEFA champions league next season.

I totally agree that winning the UEFA champions league is the main priority next season for Manchester city after  coming so close to the finals but losing to Real Madrid. They are now adding reinforcement to the squad and hoping to be the champions league winners next season. With the Erlin Haaland, and hopefully Philips and Cucurela joining they will have a formidable squad and will stand a chance in the UEFA champions league next season.

It's not just Manchester City that are increasing their power. Liverpool, PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid continue to try to make themselves more stable. So next season the Champions League looks set to be even more competitive. PSG is looking for a new coach. Liverpool are adding new players to the squad.
