Newcastle are a great example of how an underdog can turn into a leader... I remember how awful they played last year, but after a change in management the result has been amazing... The opposite effect can be seen at Chelsea, where after a change in management and some summer transfers the top club is in the middle of the standings...

Newcastle doesn't only play well in the last few matches, but since the beginning they're already strong. They only lose against Liverpool and the other is only draw, it's similar like Arsenal. Actually Newcastle still not use their main line up, Alexander Isak and Sven Botman are currently injured, they will back on December 2022. The play maker on Newcastle is Bruno Guimaraes, Newcastle bought him on this year from Lyon, it's really a good transfer.
Yep. And I believe Eddie Howe is going to make Newcastle a big club. He has big plans and wants to go places with big ambitions. Howe learned a lot since Bournemouth where he refused to change his ideology. He deserves a lot of credit for changing and adapting and building a great team spirit at Newcastle. The key was not eddie howe but the arabian invesors who have bought newcastle who have changed everything. Newcastle without money was nothing. Last season it can signs so many new players at once under the new owners. that have been proven that if new owner will have a very good impact to the team especially when new owner has unlimited money like that. The coach was only supporting the club but money plays everything right now. A team can do a lot when this team has lots of money to be used to bought so many players with good performance to create a dream team. All of transfers by newcastle have become successful transfer.

Chelsea's situation is quite different, they have been a big club for a very long time, and the change at the hierarchy was because the previous owner ran into some trouble because of the ongoing war; and they are still a big club despite their change of hierarchy. I think Todd Boehly has made one huge mistake since his takeover, and that's firing Tuchel, the club was going in the right direction with him, they already won a CL trophy and they could have prolly built on that, Graham Potter is not a manager for a big team imo, and it might take him quite a lot of time to adapt. Having said that, in Newcastle's situation they were lucky to get a new and rich hierarchy at their club, and they are really going to bring good things to Newcastle, i didn't expect it to start this seaaon, but it looks like it already started with the good players they have, if they can get into Europe at the end of this season, i am pretty sure they would be able to allure one or two world class players and a couple of other very decent ones, and that could kick start Newcastle being a team to reckon with in the League.

Chelsea believes that bringing Graham Potter to coach the team will make the team to perform better immediately. If Chelsea had given Thomas Tuchel the chance to remain in the club by now Chelsea should have been doing more better than this their present state of performance.
I absolutely agree with you on this. I had so much faith in Thomas Tuchel to revive Chelsea back to winning ways they just needed to stay focused and patient but the club management were not so patient and were quick to cut ties with the German with hopes of finding solutions with Potter which turned out to be perfect replacement and looks sour at the moment. Potter is now facing the same problems Tuchel was sacked for. Don't mind them, they thought there is a miracle in football. One thing I have known the EPL for is that they are not patient with their coaches unless they are seriously performing. But the patience of Liverpool with Klopp eventually paid off many years, though I won't be surprised if his days are numbered in Liverpool now if the club continues like this next season. EPL should learn from Man U and Arsenal during the days of the long-term healthy rivalry between Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger.

Ronaldo and Manchester United are the top topic on the internet and the newspapers, just to clear Ronaldo is not a player known for criticizing his teammates or coaches so to see Ronaldo come out openly to address this issue only shows the level at which he has endured the maltreatment in the club and it is sad to know he feels betrayed by his boyhood club for which he gave his heart and even returned to. It is really disappointing to know he has to go through this at Manchester United.
Ronaldo is a living legend. We have always seen him as the most important player in the squad. The squad's match strategy was made around Ronaldo. And he used to score a lot of goals. But now he is being badly neglected and humiliated by Manchester United's management and coach. Ronaldo wanted to leave Manchester United before the start of the season. Ten Hag then said they were not interested in releasing Ronaldo, and included Ronaldo in their match strategy. But now he is insulting Ronaldo badly. Leaving Ronaldo on the bench and forming a squad with less qualified players. This is very sad. Yeah I Ten Hag gave the impression that he had plans for Ronaldo in his team but that wasn’t the case when the season started. I read some weeks back that both were back in good terms after the game Ronaldo walked off the pitch for not been played. It is a shame to know that was not the case and both individuals still feel that rift between them. I believe this Ronaldo's outburst may be the end of the line for Ronaldo as a United player. I really wish Ronaldo would get back to his best form and prove his critics wrong.

But one of the things that is even more great for Newcastle is, even though they are now a rich club, Newcastle have not moved quickly to recruit or have famous coaches and players. The way they are getting better performances is really great because they are not depending on top players and coaches to improve their performance, it is one of the great ways that Newcastle is implementing. If Newcastle has gotten a better position in the standings or more precisely in the top four, then in the next transfer window or next season's transfer window, of course Newcastle will find it easy to recruit famous players because next season Newcastle will play in the Champions League. Yes, I also agree that Graham Potter still needs more time to manage big team like Chelsea, because even though Graham Potter previously had success coaching Brighton, that doesn't guarantee that Graham Potter will easily train big team that have a lot of demands and pressure. With the decline in performance experienced by Chelsea, I'm basically not too surprised because after all, since Tuchel was sacked, Chelsea has basically been experiencing a decline in performance. But it's very unfortunate, Todd Boehly even fired Tuchel, maybe with this process Tuchel could form an even better team. Because when compared to Todd Boehly bringing in a new coach, then of course it will take longer to restore the team's performance.

Ronaldo is aware of his issues and his postion in the club as well as his ability to fulfill requirements from Ten Hag. His ageing issue does not allow him to do too much pressing especially doing this to support defense. He want to reserve his energy to take opportunities in attacking and find goals. After a few dramas and latest interview in which he criticized his club, his coach and his team-mates, it is unbelievable if he still want to play for Manchester United. More than that, Manchester United proballbly don't want to see him in the club after World Cup. About his critics, it is difficult to believe in one side and say it is all true. Maybe some points are true and some others are untrue. With history of complains from previous coaches, maybe his complains about unprofessionality of some players in the club is true, I believe in Ronaldo at this point.

just a reminder that there are only 121 polls in this thread who voted, on average they chose Manchester city to win the English league this season, even though at the top of the standings there is Arsenal with a difference of 5 points from manchester city in second place, don't forget to cast your vote in this thread

Arsene Wenger is not the best example, he left Arenal after a long string of failures from which he never helped the club to get out. Klopp is a great coach, he just squeezes everything out of the players so they can only play at this pace for one season, then the recession comes and they try to renew the squad to find new forces. Klopp needs a lot of players to have an equivalent rotation, or unkillable players, but they probably don't exist. )

The reason is very simple, namely because the points are already 5 units apart from Manchester City although there is still a possibility for Manchester City to catch up, but I am more confident that Arsenal are still able to maintain their good form until the end of this season.

Although Cristiano Ronaldo is a living legend, but the current game of football does not run with the name of that legend, the game of football requires performance. Cristiano Ronaldo's future will not be very good if he is in Manchester United like this.

Chelsea believes that bringing Graham Potter to coach the team will make the team to perform better immediately. If Chelsea had given Thomas Tuchel the chance to remain in the club by now Chelsea should have been doing more better than this their present state of performance.
I'm not a Chelsea fan. Therefore, I don't want to discuss Chelsea's condition further to avoid misunderstandings. But I am one of those people who admire Thomas Tuchel's football philosophy. Chelsea you mean not Chelsea with management led by Todd Boehly but Chelsea Roman Abramovich. For me there is no need to talk about Chelsea under coach Tuchel because Boehly has another view in bringing Chelsea to a better direction by trusting Graham Potter as coach.

I want to be fair here, we don't know how far this drama will go. however, when referring to Ronaldo's statement when interviewed by Piers Morgan. if Ronaldo wanted to leave from the start of the season why didn't he do it, Ronaldo is an extraordinary great player and one of the best players in the world to date. however, because of his age and the problems he is going through makes him seem very frustrating. he had a drop in performance, that's a fact. what he said in the interview session took the public by surprise. he criticized several names, ranging from Ole, Rangnick and Ten Hag. if he didn't like Ten Hag and the Manchester management, he shouldn't have brought up other names that weren't involved in the feud. and yes, with Ronaldo's statement in the interview. Looks like he is ready to leave Old Trafford. I hope he finds the best and so does Manchester United without Ronaldo.

Chelsea need hope to return to form very soon. I don't know why teams like Chelsea are playing so badly right now. If they want to achieve something good this season, there is no substitute for a volley of performances. They should find out their in-match mistakes and work on them., now losing a match is very bad.

Even some people firmly believe that Ronaldo was not really happy with the Ten Hag from the start. Ronaldo has to believe that Manchester United and his coach are bigger than him despite his individual achievements over the years. The problem was that conflict was unavoidable until from the start of the season Ronaldo surprisingly asked Manchester United to sell him, this is not the respect that Manchester United and their coach need from a star player. He is still the best, but he has to realize that the team needs players who can respect the coach and his team. This means he has to work for the team and support his coach under any circumstances, no matter how difficult his team's current conditions are. So should Ronaldo move in the next transfer market, that is the best choice.

In the history of the Chelsea football club, no coach has lost 5 straight matches at a stretch. It's a pity that Chelsea change hands to another owner. Todd Boehly made a very big mistake when he sack Tuchel. I don't know whether he thinks that football is like a business venture that can turn around the old settings and replace them with a new ones and expect a miracle to start happening. Chelsea to bounce back will take time after they have lost some other matches. Expect Chelsea not to top the premier league table this season

The thing was that he was already given chances to actually show that he is still capable of being the starting lineup. He was played several times as starting lineup for full 90 minutes on Europa League games but he couldnt really do much. The fact that he could really do much but he wanted to be played as starter regularly is pretty selfish though

It’s as if the world suddenly has amnesia. I don’t! I remember who Ronaldo was for Manchester United. He’s a hero, I have been saying posts about no one is bigger than the club I think Ronaldo is bigger than the current Manchester United. The club has become a joke, and the management are settling for mediocrity. I still remember what Manchester United was like when we had Sir Ferguson. Now the club is being run by jokers who like to play the blame game. Is Ronaldo the reason for United’s failures? Let’s be honest, the club hasn’t been the same since Ferguson left, every manager that came on afterwards had problems. Even Mourinho had his own fill. If this is how United wants to treat a hero then they have no heart.

Newcastle are a great example of how an underdog can turn into a leader... I remember how awful they played last year, but after a change in management the result has been amazing... The opposite effect can be seen at Chelsea, where after a change in management and some summer transfers the top club is in the middle of the standings...
The reality is that Newcastle were no longer underdogs the moment they were purchased by that rich abu dhabi family. a clubside worth over $1bn is not an underdog. Newcastle United instead is a properly managed clubsides with good structures. The structure put in place has helped them to set up a good recruitment process that has aided them in buying top quality players without throwing their money around. if they manage to get European football this season; their progress metric would increase even more. Newcastle United are well on course for a top 7 finish; Credits to Eddie Howe for the great job so far this season

Todd Boehly made a very big mistake when he sack Tuchel.
For those of me who admire the way Thomas Tuchel handles a football team, yes, that is a mistake that has been made by Todd Boehly. Todd Boehly should hold his decision for a while longer and choose to change other things that should be changed in the management of management. I don't know whether he thinks that football is like a business venture that can turn around the old settings and replace them with a new ones and expect a miracle to start happening. Chelsea to bounce back will take time after they have lost some other matches. Expect Chelsea not to top the premier league table this season
If some people view football as a business, I don't think it's wrong because that's one of the goals behind buying a club as long as it doesn't mix business with sport. But we believe Chelsea will return to their best form once the Premier League returns.
