just a reminder that there are only 121 polls in this thread who voted, on average they chose Manchester city to win the English league this season, even though at the top of the standings there is Arsenal with a difference of 5 points from manchester city in second place, don't forget to cast your vote in this thread 

I still haven't voted in this thread and if for this season I would still vote for Arsenal as a very strong candidate to win the Premier League. The reason is very simple, namely because the points are already 5 units apart from Manchester City although there is still a possibility for Manchester City to catch up, but I am more confident that Arsenal are still able to maintain their good form until the end of this season.

Ronaldo and Manchester United are the top topic on the internet and the newspapers, just to clear Ronaldo is not a player known for criticizing his teammates or coaches so to see Ronaldo come out openly to address this issue only shows the level at which he has endured the maltreatment in the club and it is sad to know he feels betrayed by his boyhood club for which he gave his heart and even returned to. It is really disappointing to know he has to go through this at Manchester United.

Ronaldo is a living legend. We have always seen him as the most important player in the squad. The squad's match strategy was made around Ronaldo. And he used to score a lot of goals. But now he is being badly neglected and humiliated by Manchester United's management and coach. Ronaldo wanted to leave Manchester United before the start of the season. Ten Hag then said they were not interested in releasing Ronaldo, and included Ronaldo in their match strategy. But now he is insulting Ronaldo badly. Leaving Ronaldo on the bench and forming a squad with less qualified players. This is very sad.

Manchester United do not consider Cristiano Ronaldo to be a very important player at the moment. Although Cristiano Ronaldo is a living legend, but the current game of football does not run with the name of that legend, the game of football requires performance. Cristiano Ronaldo's future will not be very good if he is in Manchester United like this.

Chelsea believes that bringing Graham Potter to coach the team will make the team to perform better immediately.  If Chelsea had given Thomas Tuchel the chance to remain in the club by now Chelsea should have been doing more  better than this their present state of performance.

I'm not a Chelsea fan. Therefore, I don't want to discuss Chelsea's condition further to avoid misunderstandings. But I am one of those people who admire Thomas Tuchel's football philosophy.

Chelsea you mean not Chelsea with management led by Todd Boehly but Chelsea Roman Abramovich.
For me there is no need to talk about Chelsea under coach Tuchel because Boehly has another view in bringing Chelsea to a better direction by trusting Graham Potter as coach.

Yeah I Ten Hag gave the impression that he had plans for Ronaldo in his team but that wasn’t the case when the season started. I read some weeks back that both were back in good terms after the game Ronaldo walked off the pitch for not been played. It is a shame to know that was not the case and both individuals still feel that rift between them. I believe this Ronaldo's outburst may be the end of the line for Ronaldo as a United player. I really wish Ronaldo would get back to his best form and prove his critics wrong.

Ronaldo is aware of his issues and his postion in the club as well as his ability to fulfill requirements from Ten Hag. His ageing issue does not allow him to do too much pressing especially doing this to support defense. He want to reserve his energy to take opportunities in attacking and find goals.

After a few dramas and latest interview in which he criticized his club, his coach and his team-mates, it is unbelievable if he still want to play for Manchester United. More than that, Manchester United proballbly don't want to see him in the club after World Cup.

About his critics, it is difficult to believe in one side and say it is all true. Maybe some points are true and some others are untrue. With history of complains from previous coaches, maybe his complains about unprofessionality of some players in the club is true, I believe in Ronaldo at this point.

I want to be fair here, we don't know how far this drama will go. however, when referring to Ronaldo's statement when interviewed by Piers Morgan. if Ronaldo wanted to leave from the start of the season why didn't he do it, Ronaldo is an extraordinary great player and one of the best players in the world to date.  however, because of his age and the problems he is going through makes him seem very frustrating. he had a drop in performance, that's a fact.

what he said in the interview session took the public by surprise. he criticized several names, ranging from Ole, Rangnick and Ten Hag. if he didn't like Ten Hag and the Manchester management, he shouldn't have brought up other names that weren't involved in the feud. and yes, with Ronaldo's statement in the interview. Looks like he is ready to leave Old Trafford. I hope he finds the best and so does Manchester United without Ronaldo.

Chelsea need hope to return to form very soon. I don't know why teams like Chelsea are playing so badly right now. Even some people firmly believe that Ronaldo was not really happy with the Ten Hag from the start. Ronaldo has to believe that Manchester United and his coach are bigger than him despite his individual achievements over the years. The problem was that conflict was unavoidable until from the start of the season Ronaldo surprisingly asked Manchester United to sell him, this is not the respect that Manchester United and their coach need from a star player.

He is still the best, but he has to realize that the team needs players who can respect the coach and his team. This means he has to work for the team and support his coach under any circumstances, no matter how difficult his team's current conditions are. In the history of the Chelsea football club, no coach has lost 5 straight matches at a stretch. It's a pity that Chelsea change hands to another owner.

The thing was that he was already given chances to actually show that he is still capable of being the starting lineup. He was played several times as starting lineup for full 90 minutes on Europa League games but he couldnt really do much. The fact that he could really do much but he wanted to be played as starter regularly is pretty selfish though

It’s as if the world suddenly has amnesia. I don’t! I remember who Ronaldo was for Manchester United. He’s a hero, I have been saying posts about no one is bigger than the club I think Ronaldo is bigger than the current Manchester United. The club has become a joke, and the management are settling for mediocrity. I still remember what Manchester United was like when we had Sir Ferguson. The reality is that Newcastle were no longer underdogs the moment they were purchased by that rich abu dhabi family. a clubside worth over $1bn is not an underdog. Newcastle United instead is a properly managed clubsides with good structures. The structure put in place has helped them to set up a good recruitment process that has aided them in buying top quality players without throwing their money around. if they manage to get European football this season; their progress metric would increase even more.

Considering the fact that this WC is happening during the regular championship, I think it might be important to note that some teams will have a lot more players participating than the others.
City will be most affected with 16 players participating, United (14) and Chelsea (12) are next in line. Current leaders Arsenal will miss 10 players.

Liverpool and Newcastle will probably use this situation well, they will have like a mini pre-season with most of their players available.
Liverpool is sending 7 players to the WC, with Newcastle having only 4.

If i am not mistaken last season Newcastle had poor performance even they have to fight to avoid relegation zone but apparently money talk more that after Newcastle acquired and changed owner Eddie Howe can spend more money to bought some of players and this makes he can build the team with good quality of players and the effect too for Newcastle performance that he can bringing Newcastle to survive on premier league and this season they were turn to strong contender for european zone and even Newcastle along with Arsenal is the teams who only lost once this season and can break the domination of strong teams such as Tottenham, Chelsea or even Liverpool

Most of the main problems are because the decisions taken by Tuchel are contrary to what Boehly wants in the transfer window last summer and one more thing is that the harmony between the two has gotten worse at the start of this season so that it was unexpected that Boehly immediately wrote a letter of dismissal for Tuchel. But I agree with you all of this is covered by the business sector but I don't believe that the Sponsor can arrange a team that wants to work with them because before the collaboration is carried out there must be important points in the memorandum of cooperation. Graham Potter has not necessarily succeeded with what Tuchel has achieved while coaching Chelsea but Graham Potter has the full support of Boehly.

Am really surprised the way Newcastle have transformed ever since Eddie Howe came around, these was a club that was fighting for relegation, infant they were the most likely club to move down to the championship but when the new owners appoint Eddie Howe he finished the season in a top ten position, people have been saying when you spend money your club will move to another level like Manchester city, Paris Saint Germain but when you check this Newcastle team who are the world class players, I think Eddie should be praise for this job he has done at the Tyneside.

Graham Potter has not necessarily succeeded with what Tuchel has achieved while coaching Chelsea but Graham Potter has the full support of Boehly.

Full support is very important to build a team to achieve high goals. Even if G. Potter hasn't proved that he deserves to stay with Chelsea longer, but he will get what he wants while at Chelsea. Yes, this is limited to the players he wants, I don't want to talk about their business which is actually not enough to help the team compete at the top.

Whatever now Chelsea need something very good to build his team achieve better performance. I think G. Potter will have a tough job in the second half of the season to improve Chelsea's form which has looked down form in the last few weeks of the Premier League. It's amazing that Chelsea under Potter's managed to advance to the last 16 of the Champions League, this is even a success that doesn't get much attention.

I will be wondering about Liverpool's performance after the returnal of the World Cup.

They couldn't even win the half of the matches they have played in the league so far - 6 wins. Actually their productivity is not too bad now. It is like they have scored two goals in each match. But the main problem has mostly been related to their defense line. We have witnessed even van Dijk playing poorly for some time. Of course every solid player has bad times but this wasn't the right time for that truthfully. Because it was the time Liverpool needed him playing strongly the most.

But on the other hand things have started to get better for them taking the last two match weeks into account. Especially a win against a big team like Tottenham has given them a good boost. Klopp will hope for not seeing important injuries from now on to be able to keep up the good work.

Todd Boehly was too quick to have sacked Thomas Tuchel as he just took over from Roman Ibramovic. I still stand against it that it wasn't a good decision made by the current Chelsea owner. To be honest, Chelsea and its management team should learn to give their managers time and too sometimes allow them to independently take decision as a coach when it comes to buying players, because the coaches only knows the kind of players that is needed in the team and suitable to his tactics.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a veteran footballer and his career as a player is coming to an end. It is getting harder and harder for older players to play and there is more competition from younger players. Ronaldo has won many football awards and therefore has little motivation to win more awards.
