Arsenal 3-0 Southampton

Chelsea 3-2 Leeds United

Liverpool 1-0 Aston Villa

Norwich City 0-1 Manchester United


Chelsea win a 5 goal thriller against Leeds. Liverpool win 1-0 against returning hero Gerrard as manager of Villa. Ronaldo scores again as Manchester United win 0-1 at Norwich. Manchester City sit top of the Premier League with a 1-0 win against Wolves. Arsenal win 3-0 against struggling Southampton.

Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are all top of the EPL in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places separated by just 2 points but 11 points behind a very good West Ham team and a resurgent Manchester United are currently engaged in a battle for 4th place with Arsenal and Tottenham on their tails.

This is another exciting season in the English Premier League

Aston Villa is one of the most inform team in English premier league at the moment,and gave tough time to Liverpool before winning them.I actually thought that match was going to end a 0-0 draw,untill the best striker in the premier league,M.Salah got a penalty  and scored.

Salah always finds a way to score goals no matter how tight or defensive those people prove or seem to be.Since he could not score a goal directly,he dribble mostly in the 18 yard box so that they can fowl him,which he got.

Yea he ( Mo Salah) is Liverpool talisman, he makes them play better upfront,I just like the way he has innovate his game to another level this season by adding passes and assist to his game, he always look out for Mane for a pass, on like previous seasons,and that has build there relationship this season,he is now a complete player right now, Henry the arsenal legend say this week that Salah has find out that there is beauty in assisting A teammates.

I know what you mean but there offense is still the third best in the league. It is not like they are bad, but maybe they have too many creative players on the pitch and none of these ice cold strikers. Harry Kane would have been the perfect fit for them.

I'm not sure what for the city bought Grealish for 100 M when not sharp upfront. That no.10 is just for number but still does not show his performance. The city has made a big loss, better to buy Kane first, just adding 20 M (120 M) to bring him on Etihad. And now, they run out of money to buy another expensive player.

Yes, they have too many players that play the style like Grealish. A real striker like Kane would perfectly fit into the team. Grealish is no ice cold striker, he is another offensive midfielder and they have so many of those. Even Sterling has this touch of a midfielder while Kane is a real striker, 100%. De Bruyne, Foden, Silva, Rodrigo, Gündogan, Fernandinho, and even more midfielders. Guardiola once said he loves midfielders so much he would love to have 10 of them on the pitch, but in my opinion there can definitely be too much of a thing.

West Ham Vs Burnley was a very difficult match. And the game ended  in scoreless draw. It was a home match for Burnley, and it seems they wasn't ready to lose. Burnley had a solid defence, which made it extremely difficult for West Ham to score. While Leicester won massively against Newcastle. After losing their last match, they probably improved their performance, and won today. Although, Newcastle are in bad form, and have won only 1 match this season.

Newcastle with all the funds at their disposal are sitting second from bottom with the same number of points bottom placed Norwich. There is a real possibility Newcastle United could get relegated which would mean millions wiped off the value of the club that was recently purchased by the Saudi state fund backed consortium.

When I compare all of the games of this weekend, I see that the Chelsea vs Leeds game was the most competitive and delightful one to me. Chelsea had a big difficulty in beating Leeds in Stamford Bridge. Leeds made a great deal of effort against Chelsea and played fearlessly. But they were still not able to prevent themselves from losing by 3-2. Chelsea were nearly losing two points but Jorginho scored another penalty and they took the deserved win.

West Ham Vs Burnley was a very difficult match. And the game ended  in scoreless draw. It was a home match for Burnley, and it seems they wasn't ready to lose. Burnley had a solid defence, which made it extremely difficult for West Ham to score. While Leicester won massively against Newcastle. Both west ham and Burnley played their best and the match was tough and competitive many attempts but it ended in a goaless draw. Leicester against Newcastle became too embarrassing when the 3rd goal went in by Tielemans  in the 81' minutes and the last goal by Madison in the 85' minutes. Newcastle will be chilling at the bottom table and fears are they might likely go for relegation

Liverpool's win against Aston Villa was a very tough one undoubtedly. The statistics of the game shows that Liverpool dominated the whole game from the beginning to the end. But they struggled so much to score that single goal which brough them the victory. Aston Villa were really good at defending for the most of the time during the game. But Mings' big mistake while defending Salah cost them three points. Maybe they were going to draw with Liverpool if it wasn't for the penalty goal.

Most big teams win their game the previous matches which is good for them. MU, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and MCT. Too bad that Tottenham's game has to be postponed. I bet if there is no obstacle and the game will be played on time, Tottenham will also win their game as well.

Yes, the victories of all of the leading three turned out to be with a minimum advantage of one ball. Chelsea generally managed to do this only in the time added by the main referee of the match. A lot of things in these matches were decided thanks to successfully punched penalties and in the matches of Manchester United, City, Chelsea and Liverpool, these penalties decided the outcome of the game. Actually, Tottenham should not be upset about the postponement of the game with Brighton, but be glad that it was not limited to losing due to the coronavirus.

I was very impressed with arsenal performance against Southampton this weekend they were very serious and wanted to win by all means, even when they were 2 goals up they were still looking for the third,I like that.

I don't think Aston villa deserve to lose this weekend against Liverpool because they were very compact and give little away defensively, Klopp is doing a great job in motivating this players every week they never give up and always play with passion.

Chelsea - Leeds match absolutely met my expectations. There was a great and competitive match that I didn't want to miss even a single minute of it.    Truthfully, Leeds' performance was more than good. In Stamford Bridge, most of Chelsea's opponents have a really low chance for a win or maybe even a draw. Because they are showing a solid performance with the big help of Tuchel. But Leeds played like they weren't afraid of losing. And this was almost helping them collect one point by 2-2. Maybe Chelsea won by 3-2 but I appreciate the performances of them both.

There are rumors swirling around that the season will be shut down because of the break out of the omicron variant and low vaccination rates among players in the EPL.  There are around 45 players who got infected at this moment.  This sucks.  I think the people will riot if the govt shuts down the season like they did the last time.  Everybody isn’t really scared of covid anymore and aren’t as willing to give up their freedom for safety.

I hope a shut down never happens.

The scorers were Foden, Grealish and De Bruyne. This was Grealish's first Premier League goal with the Manchester City jersey by the way. It was like Leeds weren't even in this match. They were able to shoot only once. Manchester City finished the match by this half already.

Manchester City managed to take advantage of this match to collect more point in the Premier League standings. Maybe they are also targeting more goals in this match besides being able to win easily vs Leeds United where in the first half I saw they did not relax their attacks.

Maybe no one expected Leeds United to lose with a large number of goals in that match, but the Manchester City players looked unstoppable in that match. De Bruyne and Foden did very well and it's true that Bruyne's goal was spectacular and I want to say it was a rocket goal.
