Newcastle have funds to spend but they are taking things slowly, allowing manager Howe time to settle in and to allow the players a chance to prove themselves. As for the game this evening, you went for a draw and I went for an away win... let us see what the score will be when the full time whistle is heard Everton vs Leicester City has been postponed therefore the only game Premier League taking place this evening is Southampton vs BrentfordSouthampton may have been purchased by a new owner but the funds will take time to get through to the manager to start spending on new players. I will go for the following scoreline: Southampton 1-2 Brentford Change of ownership of course will not immediately provide a complete change to their performance, of course it will take time for the manager to get the right players for their squad composition, just like what happened to newcastle today, even though they have a lot of money but they just got 1 or 2 players in the transfer market. It's hard to guess who will win in that match, because the current conditions of the two teams are not much different, so I think maybe the two teams will draw 0-0 or 1-1 in the match later. Should they tho? Newcastle is the second favorite to be relegated with just 11 points after playing 19 fixtures... Not good. I think they should be acquiring at least 3 players, esp players for the midfield for some creativity and a couple of decent CB’s. But no.. They acquired Chris Wood from Burnley. Lol. They already have Callum Wilson, Saint-Maximin and Joelinton who are decent forwards for what they need. But they got Eddie Howe who is a decent hire as a manager. If they go down, they have an experienced manager who could get them back up just like he did twice at Bournemouth. And if they stay up somehow, Howe is capable of building the club from the bottom up to be a mid table club imo.

I understand the point you are making but if it helps them avoiding a relegation battle then they will have to consider spending some of their funds. They could simply allow Howe a chance to stamp his style of play on to the team and hope it will be enough to avoid relegation. Imagine how they would feel if they paid millions to buy players then got relegated... it is not a good position to be in for the new owners. West Ham Unitedvs Norwich City
Well done to West Ham for playing well during the period Moyes has been their manager, they will fight for that top 4 finish until the end of the season. Norwich unfortunately are favourites to be relegated again... they get promoted to the Premier League then get relegated, they win promotion again and now look like they will be relegated again.
I will go this score: West Ham 3-0 Norwich
West Ham is an easy choice for betting today. I enjoyed the last few matches of West Ham. West Ham won against Leeds United and Crystal Palace, their gameplay was tidy. The players played well enough, today they will play against another weaker team. You know this is West Ham's home match, and we all know that home team take some advantage. I do not see any possibility of losing points. Yes, I agree with you that West Ham can score at least 3 goals today. Even I won't be surprised if West Ham can manage to score more than 3.

West Ham are going to have maybe even their easiest game in the Premier League. The opponent is Norwich and they are at the last position in the standings currently. They won only two times in 19 games. They didn't win a game for so many weeks too. West Ham have a two-win streak now and they should be able to maintain their win streak by beating Norwich easily too. They are having a much better season compared to the last one and this shouldn't be a big deal for them.

Your prediction was close but not close enough. I had a similar prediction (1-0) - West ham played one of the worst teams in the PL this season so the win was inevitable. Now that West ham has pushed Arsenal that pushed Man Utd, it would be interesting to watch these teams go head to head in points hunt for the remainder of the season. Another interesting battle is the title race between City, Liverpool and Chelsea. Man city might be ahead but it's far from over.

The competition for the top 4 is now getting tougher, Westham who managed to beat Norwich City today succeeded in a coup and forced Arsenal down to 5th place in the temporary , Bowen performance today was really quite good and the two goals he created were able to make Norwich City even more immersed in the relegation zone , actually Norwich City also played attractively in that match but brilliant performance from fabianski successful managed to dispel several chances created by Norwich City players and forced the match to end with a score of 2-0 for Westham victory today.

The teams that are above these four teams should not even try to relax, because if care is not taken, they can be pushed down by one of these teams.

If they won versus Watford, they will leave on degradation zone, Newcastle will fill up Watford's position. Today I don't see them very busy on market, seems like they aiming for Wijnaldum, but I don't see the offers too. Newcastle looks not seriously repair the squad, maybe the owner has excess money so don't really care if the next session the team playing on Championship. or they have limited financial fair play.

That’s gonna be some lost revenue for the club if they are out of the EPL. And what’s worse, they have to play in the championship which isn’t an easy league. Who knows if Howe could get them back up the very next season. They could stay down there for a couple of years for all we know. So I think it’s much more sensible to risk it and spend now than be sorry later. Btw... did I mention they acquired Chris Wood from Burnley for 25m GBP? 25m GBP! Lmao..

The next three matches that will be played by Newcastle are the 3 teams that are right above the red zone. if Newcastle overcomes all by bringing full points, of course, it will be great news for them to stay in the EPL next season. it all depends on how Newcastle's performance is demanded to be better and more consistent. however, at the moment, Newcastle is not really in great form.

Newcastle United paid Burnley £25 million to release the clause in his contract. Chris Wood is the most expensive transfer at 30 years old in Premier league history.
Was that the best Newcastle could do with the millions they have at their disposal?
Trippier was recently purchased by Newcastle and that signing makes sense because he is an experienced defender but with Wood it seems a desperate move to me. I am not sure he will be a good fit for the team and he is not a prolific goal scorer and that is what confuses me. Why would they rely on him to help them avoid relegation this season?

^ It’s not exactly the best they can do but if you look at their current predicament, who would want to play at Newcastle with them being at risk of being relegated? No decent prospect would want to play on the Championship next season. Lol. They’d rather go to a club where they could show their wares at Aston Villa, Leicester or with the Wolves and be noticed by the big clubs somehow. So not exactly the best they can do but yeah... it’s the best they can do. Lololol.
Does anybody itt think Eddie Howe can motivate and get Newcastle to survive the relegation battle and stay up?

There is only EPL game taking place this evening Friday 14th January 2022:
Brighton and Hove Albion vs Crystal Palace
Brighton head in to this game with a previous 5 EPL games record of 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. Crystal Palace have a previous 5 EPL games record of 2 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw. It will be an entertaining match but I will go for this score: Brighton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Why would they rely on him to help them avoid relegation this season?
Newcastle is one of the richest clubs in the world, if not the richest, but for now they can only attract average players, of course, no quality player would want to risk playing in the championship, and it's a possibility that Newcastle is going to get relegated, so what they have to do is try their best to get some players that are a little bit decent and try and avoid relegation, I mean, it's better than doing nothing, at least with such players, even if they eventually get relegated, they won't immediately push for an exit out of the club, they would stay and try and bring them back to EPL as soon as possible. Does anybody itt think Eddie Howe can motivate and get Newcastle to survive the relegation battle and stay up?
He is a decent coach, definitely not the best looking at the circumstances, but I think I appreciated his pattern of football when he was head coach at Bournemouth, they didn't win too many games, but he was indeed brave considering the quality they had then, with Newcastle, all he can do now is try, he isn't under too much pressure, cause the club already knew the situation before signing him, I'm afraid, all he can do it try.

Yes, it was a panic, but they needed someone with Premier League experience to add more depth to the team. Chris Wood is a good player who will have to compete for the top spot with players like Wright Gayle and Callum Wilson. Competition always brings out the best in the squad. You can't criticize them for buying players on their level because they need to avoid relegation in order to attract good players in the summer.

Brighton's probability of winning will probably be much better than Crystal Palace's. Brighton managed to control this match well where in the 30 minutes of the first half they had managed to create some good chances. I thought they would win, but Crystal Palace could still surprise us in the end. No goals so far, but we'll see Brighton score first. Hope it's true

Hope it's true The first half of the match ended with the score 0-0, Brighton did look quite dominant in the first half and they even made 8 shots of which 3 were shot on target, but until the first half ended luck not yet seem to be on brighton, I think the absence of several players Crystal Palace core made Crystal Palace game not very good today, and the first 45 minutes they weren't even able to create a single chance that endangered the Brighton defense and goal.

If it works for them and keeps them in the Premier League then we all will say it was a tactical masterpiece by Howe but if it fails plenty will criticise. Newcastle have the funds so they will try their best to avoid relegation. Newcastle United paid Burnley £25 million to release the clause in his contract. I wonder what kind of contracts all those guys are signing write now with Newcastle. Are they allowed to leave when they actually relegate into the EFL Championship? Or are they getting paid a hefty salary still? Whatever is going to happen, it won't be easy to attract superstars anyway. Even Süle from Bayern Munich said that despite the salary Newcastle is offering him, it is no option as he wants to play for a well established competitive club. And I think that makes a lot of sense.
