I don't think anyone expected Manchester United to win tonight, can't believe they spent nearly £200 million on their defensive line and still can't keep clean sheets, I feel sorry for Harry Maguire, he's taking all the blame every ducking match, dude needs to move away from Manchester United to save his career, it's obvious the fans don't rate him.

Liverpool has a good chance of winning this match.

You are absolutely right both teams will be going for a win, they both need 3 points. If Liverpool win they severely dent the hopes of their opponent in finishing 4th and if Manchester United win they severely dent the hopes of their opponent in finishing as champions. What a game it will be but it is stacked heavily in favour of Liverpool to win.

Normally that's fair enough, but against Liverpool it's harsh. No team in the world can be expected to keep a clean sheet against Liverpool... even Man City concede several goals every time they play.

I think the top 4 will be:

Liverpool
Man City
Chelsea
Spurs

The top two are miles clear, and Liverpool's recent FA Cup triumph may give them the psychological edge, plus Man City look a bit jaded after their recent exertions.
Chelsea are alone in third.
As for the fight for fourth, yes we all thought Arsenal looked most likely, but now they are sinking rapidly. Form is vital, and their form is the worst in the league, so I don't think they will be fourth. Which leaves Spurs and Man U - Spurs have the position at the moment (3 points, plus goal difference), and have better form, so I'd say they have the best chance. The only doubt I have really is that Ronaldo is coming into form with that hat-trick - if he hits a good patch, he might be enough to propel United into fourth... but it seems a stretch, Spurs have to be favourites.

Well, so far so good your prediction is right to an extent, we can believe the delivery performance of Liverpool base on the way that started this season, but am so surprised seeing Chelsea at the third place, honestly my thoughts was to see a better performance from them this time but still falling within the range of first three isn't that bad, just that their starting morale is convincing enough that they may take the league, that's football for real.

Conceding and scoring at the same time are two different things. Liverpool has conceded in almost every game this season, and while their defense isn't great, the fact that Manchester United hasn't been able to penetrate them says a lot about their attackers. Liverpool has scored 12 goals in three games against Manchester United this season, while conceding only two. Manchester United vs. Liverpool has always been the toughest rivalry in the league, but the gap between the two teams has grown ridiculously over the last five years.

We play Arsenal today, and I hate playing Arsenal in their current form because it hasn't gone well for us in the past. I've seen them lose four games in a row before picking up form against Chelsea, so I'm not optimistic with Lukaku and Werner leading our attack. I'm bracing myself for the unexpected.

I agree with this. I think it has somehow just become normal for people to accept what Salah does regularly without even appreciating all the effort he puts in to his all round game with assists as well as goals. He does not receive appropriate recognition.

Well Manchester City are looking for revenge the next time they meet and maybe if they have a first choice starting 11 with no injuries then Liverpool will not be getting a easy ride like they did in the FA Cup semi-final. You are right though, Liverpool seem like they will score whether it is from Salah, Mane, Firmino, Jota or now even Diaz.

Manchester City are back on top of the Premier League. Everton even with a draw capitalised on Burnley losing their match. Arsenal back in contention for a 4th place finish with an unexpected win at Chelsea.

Chelsea has lost it dignity for the football space. Arsenal won the match with 4- 2.
Before the match started I predicted that Arsenal would win the game. And a neighbor disagreed with me and we bet it with $10 each . When Chelsea equalized with Arsenal, he was very happy and excited. But ironically, when Arsenal lead with 3-2 he became muted.

Chelsea was possessing ball more than Arsenal but there was no charges for them to score after the two goals, but Arsenal was having the opportunities to score.

In the Man City and Brighton, Man City really played well. They deserve the goals.

There is something I discovered from these two matches that in the 90 minutes period Arsenal was leading with 4 - 2 so the extra time or minutes were 4. The same thing happened in the Man City vs Brighton match. Man City was leading with 3 - 0 and the extra time was also 3. What a coincidence? Is it that the referees are using the highest goals to determine the extra time?

It's a shocking one indeed. How Arsenal suddenly became better to have beaten Chelsea from a home side to a Chelsea 2-4 Arsenal victory after they had been relatively bad in there past games. I didn't see Arsenal winning in any of there games after they lost against Southampton just before and as such, this win was really shocking. They took the lead right from the first half and you could see Chelsea playing the equalizer here! The young team seemed to have harmonised good and are now in the 5th place following yesterday's Manchester United bad performance. Manchester United's defence was so porous and somehow, Sadio Mane had lots of free spaces with the ball and you can see how easily they made out the goals.

Liverpool move 2 points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League after demolishing Manchester United in the game played earlier this evening.

No one can go near Liverpool at the moment.  I feel like they're gonna take the top spot in a couple of weeks or so with City having a tough match up in the UCL vs Real Madrid.  I hear Benzema is running hot...  Pep tends to mid curve it and over think.  And I'll be going at it again and ape Liverpool again this weekend.  They're playing vs Everton at home so it should be easy pickings.  

Liverpool to win to nil at 1.93, BTTS no and over 2.5 goals at 3.25 and Liverpool to win both halves at 2.27.

He has a better number of goals and assists. Salah has been smashing goals and assists since the first day he stepped in at Anfield, but the media has already nominated Benzima to win the Ballon d'Or at the end of the season. I sometimes think his lack of a British passport is one of the reasons he isn't getting the attention he deserves.

This isn't the first time; if you read my first post before the game, you'll see that we've been making mistakes that lead to Arseanl's first goal since 2019, with Jorginho's error leading to the first goal last season, and Christiansen's awful backward pass leading to the first goal yesterday. It means Burnley have played one game more than Everton but are just 1 point behind. Everton are still not safe yet, I think Burnley will try to fight them until the end because one of them will be relegated and the other will survive and stay in the Premier League for next season.

I'm more interested in commenting on Liverpool vs Everton because the two teams are on two different floors of the table, some are fighting to be the leader of the table and also get out of the relegation zone.
It seems difficult for Everton to be able to win the match against Liverpool even though they field their best squad, because in the remaining matches Liverpool are required to continue to win because of the intense competition with Manchester City.

Everton's situation is extremely serious because they had the worst bad luck in the world having to play against strong teams in the next games like:

- Liverpool, liverpool needs to win at all costs if they want to be champions, so they won't take it easy against everton

- Chelsea, Chelsea will also play determined to win the game

- Arsenal, Arsenal will also play determined to win the game.

only left: Watford, Leicester, Crystal Palace and Brentford

which are teams that they could get some points from, Is almost 70% sure that everton will fall into relegation, frank lampard must be a sleepless man by this time, being coach of a good team and seeing that team in the relegation zone is not it should be an easy task, I think it's a nightmare for any coach and worse for the players, when players are used to playing in the premier and then the team is relegated, players soon think about leaving the team because their future is compromised

That scenario is one of the things that makes the Premier League the best league in the world 

The outstanding favourites to win have to be Liverpool but it is a Merseyside derby, anything can happen. If Liverpool won 5-0 or if the game ended 1-1 or 2-2, even with a 0-1 victory for Everton it would not surprise me. Liverpool need a win because Manchester City play Watford a day earlier and could be sitting 4 points clear at the top before Liverpool even start their game.

As for Everton, they are just 1 point above the relegation zone with Burnley chasing them. They will be desperate for points and would be happy to collect just 1 from a draw.

He will have a mountain to climb trying to turn the fortunes of the team around but if he is given time he should prove himself to be a good manager. If he has a string of bad results then he will not be given time and that will be a disaster for him and the football club.

Nothing will change if he keeps this group of players; if they want the best out of ETH, they must give him full support in recruiting players of his choice and give him at least two to three seasons to build the team; not every manager can turn things around in their first season; Kloop took two to three years to get Liverpool back on track. Fans must be patient and realistic in their expectations.

Ronaldo just might do it if he plays. After the sad news of his baby son he might not be playing until he is mentally prepared. If Manchester United beat Arsenal and then Brentford beat Tottenham, it will mean Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United will have 57 points each. Another interesting twist to an interesting season  

About Ronaldo, it was a fantastic gesture by Liverpool fans to applaud Cristiano when Manchester United played at Anfield after the sad news. Ronaldo was not there but their gesture touched his heart. Well done Liverpool fans for showing real class.

I look at the Manchester City vs Watford game and think Guardiola will try to increase their goal difference. Manchester City have +55 compared to +61 that Liverpool have.

The other game is Brentford vs Tottenham because Brentford have been playing very well since a certain ex-Tottenham player signed for them until the end of the season therefore Spurs will find it tough.
