Here are the games taking place this evening 10th February 2022:

Liverpool vs Leicester City         
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Arsenal

Liverpool should win the game but with teams such as Leicester there is always a chance of an upset. If Liverpool want to hold on to ambitions of closing the gap on Manchester City at the top then they have to win their games and hope the league leaders drop points.

Arsenal will have an opportunity to push their ambitions of finishing in the top 4 if they get 3 points at Wolves and Tottenham, Manchester United and West Ham United will feel the pressure too if a strong Arsenal team is part of the 4th finish place chasing pack.

Tottenham suffered a major setback as they were beaten at home by Southampton. From being 2-1 ahead at 70 minutes they ended up losing 2-3 at full time.

This game ruined my bet slip from last night. I was convinced Tottenham would have to take all three points. I'm not sure what happened in the last 30 minutes of the game; was it a tactical blunder on Conte's part? Or did the Soton improve much in the second half?

I do not know... it was probably a case of Southampton taking their chances when the opportunity arose while Spurs were winning 2-1 got a little complacent. Sorry about your bet slip - hopefully you will get it right next time

Expect the same performance in the upcoming matches. Liverpool has to constantly play well and win matches to hold its 2nd place much firm. Chelsa is at 3rd place with 13 wins and it needs only tow more to be at 2nd place. West Ham is another team fighting for 3rd place. Heavy competition.

The outcome of today's match is strictly based on performance. Liverpool stand a better chance of winning but Leicester city wouldn't be that easy but a win is needed to seal the second position more stronger. Leicester city would still meet up with West Ham I doubt of Leicester can withstand the heavy task ahead

Everton had good signings with Frank Lampard.  I have to say I am surprised by this Newcastle defeat.  Newcastle United are fighting to get out of the last places and stay in the league.  These 3 points were very important to them.

Newcastle had a lot of signings, too. Also don't forget that Everton have lost Digne recently. They are right in the relegation fight now, and at this stage of the season direction of travel is the most important thing. A team just above the relegation places but in freefall in February usually means they go down.

On the other hand, the points that Manchester United lost were very important.  I'm sure everyone was shocked when they couldn't beat Burnley.  No one expected this togetherness.  A sad day for Manchester United fans.

I don't think the points that Man U dropped are really relevant to anything, they're not fighting for a spot at the top of the table. I wouldn't think people were shocked at this result really.

Newcastle United are out of the relegation zone for now.  However, there is only 1 point difference between them and Norwich.  Everton, on the other hand, maintains the 2 points difference with Norwich.  If Norwich wins a game they will go on top, Everton or Newcastle United will go into the relegation zone.  The excitement in the league's relegation line is at a high level.

It's possible, yes. The teams at the top of the league are so good that even a single defeat can have big consequences. Just like at the bottom of the table, a single win can have big consequences. But having said that, there is something remorseless about Man City, churning out win after win. I'd say it's definitely too late for Chelsea to catch them, but Liverpool still have a chance, they need to maintain a perfect record and hope City have a few slack games. The goal difference between them is negligible, so if City draw three more games and Liverpool keep winning every game, the fight is on... so it's possible, but still a big ask.

We have some wins and some losses. With 3 outstanding games remaining, they are already 4 points out of the top four. If they can get 9 points from these games, they will move into the top four, but the question is whether they will be able to collect these crucial points. It will determine whether they qualify for the Champions League or the Europa League. There are just 14 games left to play for the league

Even if Liverpool wins both outstanding games, they will still be 6 points behind Manchester City, and if you think PEP would risk a 6-point advantage in February, you are mistaken; some clubs can bottle a 6 point league in February, not City, they are Europe's most consistent team. They hardly ever drop points.

The last two matches of the week have started too. I have already said before that I'm favouring Liverpool to win this match. Salah is in the subs and he could enter the match in the second half taking the condition of the match into account. Mane is not here today but Luis Diaz is in his place now. Maybe this could be the biggest chance Diaz is having in the starting eleven. I know that he is new here but I hope he can do his best and perform as good as possible. And in the other match, I think Arsenal won't lose and it could end up with a tie.

Arsenal did a superb work today by winning Stubborn Wolves,who troubles all the big teams in England. Indeed the match was a tough battle between the two clubs,but atleast Arsenal showed supremacy at the end of the game.
With this win,Arsenal are back to their winning ways.

Liverpool did an important thing by defeating Leicester, which is not an easy team, despite the problems it is experiencing this season and the current position in the second half of the championship standings. By the way, the last time Leicester beat Liverpool at Anfield was 22 years ago, and it hasn't happened now. This victory was very important for Liverpool if the team is still going to continue chasing Manchester City in the battle for the championship, but the 9 remaining points behind is still a serious figure, but Liverpool has one more game in reserve. Arsenal have generally two games in reserve and on lost points in general are only two points away from Chelsea. Another question is that Arsenal have obvious performance problems and the club scored for the first time since January 1, and despite getting rid of Aubameyang, the club has not signed a new striker.

@JollyGood in their current state Manchester United can’t reach the top 4, and being a Manchester United fan I feel so sorry for my beloved club, but I yet pray for a miracle and hope we make it. Further if if had to chose between those teams to finish in top 4 then I would pick West Ham, because I’m impressed with how they have been playing, and to be honest I feel that they deserve the 4th spot.

It's possible, yes. The teams at the top of the league are so good that even a single defeat can have big consequences. Just like at the bottom of the table, a single win can have big consequences. A bit of a dip in performance or an injury pf a key player would hugely change any club’s run and somewhat kill their momentum.  We’ve seen it happen before.  

And Chelsea’s run for the title is done imho.  They should be happy getting top 4.  They started well then haven’t looked like the team they were during the start.  I’m not sure when it started but in the reverse fixture vs City, they didn’t look like the Chelsea that beat City at the UCL final last season.  Lol.

If that is the case then Chelsa has to win 6 upcoming matches and Man City has to loose all 6 matches which is not going to be possible. So yes Chelsa is   performing well but it is far away from Man City. Let Chelsa move over to 2nd place beating  Liverpool first then let it look for 1st position. Liverpool played awesome against Leicester City with 2:0. So Liverpool is not a easy team to handle. But yes Chelsa might move to 2nd place if they hold up its best performance winning upcoming matches and Chelsa loosing few upcoming matches.
