If that is the case then Chelsa has to win 6 upcoming matches and Man City has to loose all 6 matches which is not going to be possible. So yes Chelsa is   performing well but it is far away from Man City.

Liverpool close the gap on Manchester City by beating Leicester City and are now 9 points behind with one game in hand. Arsenal move in to 5th place just 1 point behind West Ham United but they have played two games less therefore are in a good position to chase that final Champions League spot. Here is how the Premier League table stands at the moment:

Good to see Liverpool get passed Leicester city without problems. I remember we lost to them in the first half of the season. It's also nice to keep up with the pace of City and keeping the gap tight. Hopefully we can short it to 6 points by winning our outstanding match and then go on to garner as much points as possible from our remaining games.

Kudos to this Arsenal team. They might not be on top of the PL table but I'm impressed with how far they have come as a team so far.

My prediction went right and made a light cashout. Liverpool took full revenge on Leicester and made it a clean win. I'm glad Liverpool is making their margin between them and Manchester city more tighter even though chances of meeting up with city is slim as there are no chances of Manchester losing any game this season but I'm a bit glad a slight competition exist in the league

Tuchel deserves a lot of credit for what he did last season but he has failed to live up to those high standards this season therefore something needs to change -  a tactic or player.

I think that interview Lukaku he gave to Italian television about him being unhappy and him not wanting to play under that formation with Tuchel - that caused a lot of unbalance in the team and created problems between Lukaku and his teammates. Add to that Lukaku not even scoring and playing the way he was at Inter then it shows in part why Chelsea are not closer to Manchester City in the league table.

I think what Tuchel did last season with Chelsea was absolutely stunning. Chelsea won the Champions League and went on a winning streak that took them to high place in the league table. Chelsea are 4 points behind 2nd place Liverpool having played one game more therefore they are in a good position to catch Liverpool should the Merseyside team drop points.

Let us see where the silverware ends up this season. Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City are still in one or more competition along with other teams. It is a long season

To be able to win and win are slightly different things Only after the completion of Chelsea's participation in these tournaments will we be able to talk seriously about the team's success this season. No one will deny that Tuchel is an excellent specialist and I wish that thanks to him Chelsea finally won the title of club world champion. This brings about the adjustment that Lampard has to be the coach to thank for last season because without his signings and giving the academy boys a chance, Chelsea won't have had the squad with such determination to win the champions league. Tuchel was blessed to meet a young squad he could coach with his tactics to win which Lampard didn't have due to lack of coaching experience.

Tuchel didn't make any signing this transfer window and that got me wondering what he plans are, we have our key players injured and this has disrupted our style of play so let's not blame tuchel much. When all the keys players were available, we were favorite to win the league because everybody were playing so good that even our defenders were getting goals. I'll only judge him when he gets everybody back and still can't compete

I know that they were not good enough against Burnley and got a draw as a result of it. But I expect Manchester United to play more differently this time. The kick-off for the Manchester United v Southampton game is at 12.30pm (that is around 55 minutes from now).

A win for Manchester United would take in to that all important 4th place in the league table with 42 points, that would be the case at least until Arsenal or West Ham United play next.

I think just a point for Southampton here will be a good result from them because they fairly safe out of the way of the relegation but I think Manchester United will take all 3 points.

I haven’t watched any Man United matches lately so I could give an opinion based on optics but you could see that nothing is working for Rangnick just by looking at their last 4 matches including this one now that’s ending in a draw.  He played United in a 4 - 2 - 2 - 2, didn’t work.  Switched to 4 - 2 - 3 - 1, kinda worked until it didn’t.  And now back to 4 - 2 - 2 - 2 again vs Southampton...  Still nada.  I really thought Rangnick would be a good manager at United.

Oh and they couldn’t get a win vs Middlesbrough at the FA Cup too.  Sad.

Norwich city is finding difficult time in getting a score against Man City. Yes Man City scored 2 goals in the 1st half and playing the 2nd half. Expecting more goals from Man City today. I am sure Man City will at least have 4 goals and the match might end up with 5:1 or 5:2. Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden played fantastic. Winning probability has literally come down below 1% for Norwich. 3rd goal came in for Man City. 2nd goal for Sterling. Really appreciate his constant best performance.

I agree with David Degea that the club is cursed. It's amusing at first, but it's becoming a trend, and club captain Maguire is becoming a laughing stock in every game this season. Their defense and attack have been terrible since the new coach arrived, and I believe they would have been better off without Pogba. Since he returned to the starting eleven, they've drawn every game he's played in. As a rival fan, I owe the entire squad my gratitude, and I hope they continue to be a laughingstock.

Lampard is at a club that suits him, coaching a club like Everton is perfect and this is what he would have done before coming to coach a club as big as Chelsea. There's still hope for Liverpool and I strongly want them to win this league because Manchester city are making it seems like this is one of those farmers league that they can always win at any moment. Liverpool still have Manchester city to play, if they can win all their games prior to that match and also defeat City then Manchester will be under pressure and they might lose some point which will give Liverpool the advantage. Liverpool just don't have to lose any match again if they want to keep CIty under pressure.

Against Norwich, everyone thought Manchester would win easily, and that's what happened. Manchester City got a beautiful 4-0 win.
However, Manchester City's next league match will not be against Liverpool. Manchester City will play their next match against Tottenham. And Tottenham's performance in the last few matches was very poor. They can't win against Manchester City. City is a very stable team. They find the opponent's weak spot and adjust their match strategy accordingly. That is why they have been able to consistently perform well.
