Maybe the young inexperienced Arsenal team will begin to gel together next season and put up a stronger fight? It is is possible though the likelihood is they will not be able to compete with Manchester City and Liverpool.

Arsenal can only compete for European positions with the current calibre of players; in the Premier League, you don't win the league with kids; you need proven players to do that, and that's what Arsenal lacks at the moment; they'd have to spend a lot of money to get in the category of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea, which are the only teams in the league that have grown to compete for any trophy and possibly win it.

As for Mane and Salah you are right they have been phenomenal for Liverpool but if Klopp allowed either to leave at the end of the season then Liverpool will not be competing with Manchester City for the premier league title next season.

Unfortunately, the manager has no say in who stays and who goes; only the club has that power, and the club has yet to agree to Salah's contract demand; he's having the best time of his career, and he loves England. We'll keep an eye on things.

Yeah, we needed this game to boost our confidence ahead of our FA Cup match this weekend. It was a great game, and we played very well from start to finish, but we lost one of our best midfielders, Kovacic to injury, in the process, and it didn't look good at all.

As I previously stated, Leeds United are at a disadvantage compared to Everton and Burnley, who both have one game more than Leeds United. If both teams can get 7 out of a possible 9 points from their last three games, they will automatically avoid relegation, even if Leeds win their next two games, which I do not expect to happen against Brighton.

Liverpool seem to have to choose between keeping players fit for the champions league final or starting with a full squad against Chelsea in the FA cup final. I think it's a hard choice for Liverpool. Because the champions league has a higher prestige than the FA cup but the opponent they will againt is Real Madrid which is the best club in the world today. And if Liverpool choose to win the FA cup of course they will likely have problems with the players' fitness or risk injury to their star players in next match

Liverpool is full of good players and have one of the best attacks in the world for now, but people are too hyping Liverpool while forgetting that other clubs are good as well, see what Manchester City is playing now in premier league and they focus on it because it is no more in champions league and having time to rest and make good practice against next match, it is getting clear that Liverpool can no longer win premier league, just that the next match will determine that which is most likely that Manchester City would win. About Champions League, who would win is not yet certain, Real Madrid are very good and it is possible they would win. Let us see how it goes though, but Liverpool have more issue to tackle with the matches they are having next.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Manchester City

With Liverpool winning yesterday they have played one game more than Manchester City but are -3 goal difference behind. Manchester City can extend their lead over Liverpool by one point or three points this evening.

ManCity won 5-1 and has the championship within reach. They could extend their goal difference advantage a lot with this 5-1 and they have now 7 goals advantage over Liverpool. Even if they were to lose one of the remaining games, I doubt that Liverpool could catch up with the goal difference in only 2 games. Liverpool will definitely focus fully on the Champions League now, I wish them good luck!

You would have expected him to contribute more throughout the season. Maybe he is just beginning to find his form. Imagine if Lukaku was playing the way he did at Inter then Chelsea would be sitting alongside Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the league table.

If Manchester City beat West Ham on Saturday 15th May then it is clear Liverpool will not be able to catch them as the difference will be 6 points and Liverpool have just two games remaining. Liverpool travel to Southampton on Tuesday 17th May but by then Manchester City will probably be crowned premier league champions because of their superior goal difference.

Coutinho was a brilliant player, playmaker and goal scorer. He was essential to Liverpool and they wanted to keep him and build their team around their superstar midfielder but after he made it clear to the club he wanted to leave and play for Barcelona he was sold. Liverpool were happy to let him go as they received £142 million. After he left, his career failed at Barcelona though he had some impact at Bayern while on loan and even played against Barcelona when Bayern thrashed them in the Champions League semi-final 8-2.

Liverpool sold Coutinho in the January 2018 transfer window receiving £105 million upfront with the remaining £37 to be paid as add-ons. Liverpool bought van Dijk in the same January 2018 transfer window and with some tweaks went on to the Champions League final where they were beaten by Real Madrid in 2017/18 season.

To be honest, I am not absolutely opposed to this idea but at this moment in time, it does seem to be very risky work to do. you and when they sold Coutinho they got a really handsome paycheck for him. But now if they let one of their main players go I don't think there will be receiving a paycheck as big as that.  So, I think it will be really risky and not worth it in my opinion.

Lukaku's performance has improved in recent games, and you could see the passion in his eyes after his goal yesterday; he desperately wants to succeed and lead Chelsea to greatness, and I hope he continues his fine form against Liverpool this weekend.

I wish we could throw everything we have at Tottenham to get Kane this season, now that Manchester City has officially dropped out, but Daniel Levy will never sell to a London rival. To dominate and compete with Manchester City and Liverpool, we only need him.

I could not have put it better. You are absolutely right. No player is bigger than the team and eventually or immediately they will be replaced and the club moves on. It really is that simple.

Next month Salah will turn 30 years old

In five months Firmino turns 32 years old

Next month Henderson turns 32 years old

In two months time van Dijk turns 31 years old

In three months time Matip turns 31 years old

Last month Thiago turned 31 years old

Milner is 36 years old

In five months time Fabinho turns 29 years old

Selling any of these players might make financial sense for Liverpool as they will not be able to play to the same standard as previous seasons. Selling and replacing would not damage Liverpool.

The most important person at the club, the one that matters most and his departure would make Liverpool collapse is their manager Klopp. He has fantastic man-management skills and he is the one that contributed most to transforming Liverpool from an average team in to consistently one of the best in the world over the last 5 years.

Oh, I had no idea Liverpool's team was this old in terms of age, sooner or later they'll fade away, and the rebuilding process will take years because literally 80% of the first team is in their mid-30s and can only perform at the highest level for 2-3 seasons. I believe Liverpool and Manchester City's teams are the oldest in the league in terms of player age, and now I see why clubs aren't pushing for Salah.

Barcelona made the same mistake, and it is now difficult for them to rebuild.

It's strange how Arsenal has gone from fighting for third place with Chelsea to fighting for fourth place with Tottenham and they are likely to be kicked to the Europa League.

@JollyGood just when it felt that Arteta would easily guide Arsenal back to the champions league, Conte decided to crash his party and now Arsenal have to ensure victory in their last two matches to hold on to that last champions league spot. Furthermore I was impressed with how Tottenham played, and if they make it to the champions league then they’ll definitely be able to hold on to Kane, hence it seems that we’re in for a thrilling finale as the season comes to an end.

The most eligible for me is KDB who has been phenomenal, his performance for MCI has been top notch, even from their last game. I wonder why Sadio Mane's name is not on the nomination list, IMO he plays sometimes even better football than Salah, and also scores on important games.

About Arsenal's big loss to Tottenham last night, I was a bit surprised by Tottenham's performance. Arsenal did not perform well and they were forced to play with 10 men from the first half which may have been a factor in their defeat. But their previous good form was not reflected in this match and I think it was a shocking defeat.

Of course I will be very curious if Arsenal will qualify for the Champions League and improve their performance in the next 2 matches. If Arsenal end up failing to win all those games, then maybe Tottenham will snatch the last Champions League ticket of the season from Arsenal.

Here is the current Premier League table. The fight between Arsenal and Tottenham for the 4th place finish (which will allow them to enter the Champions League next season) is still not settled.

Manchester City look like they will be crowned champions again because Liverpool will not be able to catch them.

Only Norwich and Watford are confirmed as relegated but the fight between Leeds United, Burnley and Everton continues. Any one of the three teams could be relegated.

Yes it did seem Arsenal would end up finishing 4th in the premier league table but Tottenham never game up and have closed the gap to just one point with both teams having two game remaining to play.

If I had to choose, I would say Tottenham will finish 4th and Arsenal 5th because they play Burnley at home and then travel to Norwich for their final two games. On the opposite side Arsenal have a very difficult final two games because they travel to Newcastle first and then are at home to an Everton team trying to avoid relegation.

While Liverpool need Salah more lately, Salah's fall out of form has spoiled the overall structure of the whole team. Luiz Diaz was already very good at Porto, and in Liverpool he got even better. Sometimes when you go to big teams, it is difficult to get a chance to form, but Luiz Diaz has been the constant name of the 11 so far. It continues to surprise. There are 2 elite names that keep Liverpool at this level, one is Alisson and the other is Van Dijk. In the absence of Salah, there was Liverpool who scored 4 against Barça. Even without Mane, there was always Liverpool advancing. But without Alisson or Van Dijk, we watched a Liverpool that never confirmed. It's Alisson, not Mane or Diaz, who saved that match.

Manchester City travel to West Ham knowing a win will make them premier league champions again.

This is an interesting match to test how strong Man City keeps in the 1st table. The different points with Liverpool only have 3 and still have better for goals different, When lost, Man City is still on 1st even if Liverpool won versus Southampton on Wednesday. West Ham's statistic is not good, seems like the club that even lost their performance. I've never seen them play like a beginning, I don't know what happens, Maybe after were eliminated in the UEFA league cup, they don't have the motivation anymore, so today, West Ham will continue to lose when they don't have cared (forget the lost), Man City is on fire, I'm sure will get the win at least 2 different goals.

^  Man City is down 2 - nil at HT vs West Ham thanks to Bowen.  It currently gives Liverpool some hope to greatness.  I think they win vs Real Madrid at the UCL final and with City most probably losing this match, it could very may well happen.  No English club has won a quadruple before.  City was close a couple of years ago but not quite, this time Liverpool is sooo close.  I'm rooting for Klopp, I just wanna witness greatness.

I wonder which clubs are gonna go try get Bowen at the summer transfers.  He's been looking good.
