I'd like to know about when this went out. I never received any type of email about getting compensated for the 5-chip price drops. I placed two separate orders for 5-chips and paid a LOT more money than what they dropped to a week or two later. I did fill out the web form requesting compensation and never heard anything back. Do I submit a support ticket for this?

The price drop compensation was only offered for g-blade customers I believe, earlier purchases were given a 5-chip miner per g-blade (that's what the 5-chip in the mail is referring to, not 5-chip purchases), later ones were given a Fury per g-blade. The compensation was given out in store credit of the equivalent value, and I can confirm I received mine.

Have the week one's shipped? Anyone receive tracking?

Hi.

As previously mentioned, they all have been shipped. We are waiting for all the tracking numbers update before we start sending them out. So we will have those out shortly.

Rest assured, our timeline has not changed. Everyone will have their GAW Miners ranging from Tuesday to Thursday.

Thanks for your patience Smiley

What carrier have they been shipped through???

Hi,

The timestamp is in those images if you look closely.

Regarding the compensation, it was for customers who purchased Gridseed Blades and had them hosted or delivered by 2 certain date ranges.

This was not for 5-chip price drops. Also, regarding any support questions, please send a support ticket (support@gawminers.com).

Thank you,

Rami

Hello, it depends on where the customer is located and what method would arrive fastest. We used a combination of UPS, Fedex, and DHL.

If there is a specific method that you need accommodation with, please email me directly with your order number and we will help you with it Smiley

updated this quote:

For those that would like to use an open source version of the mining software, we will make the software available for download sometime Tuesday. Please note that this will be an unsupported version of the mining software. Our support desk will not be able to troubleshoot issues if you choose to use this version of software. As one user said, similar to if you jail broke your iphone, or rooted your Android Smiley We have made a business decision to not continue to develop software in this way.

There are many benefits to developing managed software with the support of the cloud. So we will develop software in the ZenMiner environment. Smiley

If you would like to use our support center, you would want to use the ZenController. The ZenController is where we will push down new software and firmware updates, greater speeds, and more coming Smiley

Thanks

Thanks. I can understand your position and that you have confidence in the zenMiner project to commit to it in such a way. At least you will be making it possible for people to choose how they use the hardware and know which method is recommended for best performance and support.

For those of you previously that said, hey they're a hardware manufacture not software and are not obligated to provide software. Think of it this way.... If you just went out an bought a shinny new video card to blow your gaming off the hook... only to find out when you get home, there are no drivers and that the only way the video card works is if you buy a certain motherboard, you'd be kinda pissed to eh? So... it is necessary for hardware vendors to supply the appropriate drivers to allow customers to use their product and GAW just committed to just that.

Thanks

You are 100% correct, thanks for the response.

If you look at the math on the Fury, we are actually losing $30 per miner sold to include the ZenController (not to mention the licensing cost to them).

So why would we do that? The reason is simple. I believe we will provide a better user experience by providing a consistent and managed way of delivering updates and new firmware. This will increase performance and stability. This is why we made the investment and would choose to lose money on a product.

Our goal is build the fastest, most efficient and trouble-free miners on the planet.  We are currently in discussions with other hardware suppliers about the same thing (A2,etc). Including the new miner that we have in development that will reach speeds of over 300 MH/s before the end of the year.
