Would you say that Alkmaar can compete with PSV this season? I think no one can beat PSV this season and almost 100% they will win the Eredivise league this season. Maybe now we can talk about places 2, 3 and 4. Ajax's draw in the last match means they are now 8 points behind Alkmaar in fourth place. One place in the Champions League has definitely belonged to PSV. We just have to talk about 1 more place that will be contested by Feyenoord, Twente and AZ Alkmaar.

I am not following Eredivisie so closely and I am impressed with PSV Eindhoven performance. They didn't miss any points after 16 rounds, they received as low as 6 goals and scored 56! Their last game was against AZ Alkmaar, which is among the top teams, yet they destroyed them with 4 goals to nothing!
It is rare to see such good record even in lower leagues with a classically dominant team. The only negative point is that their performance didn't follow in UEFA Champions League although they were able to qualify second.
With 10 points difference from Feyenoord and way more from the other teams and since almost half of the season was played, I am pretty sure they will win the league before many rounds. What left to know is which team will join them in UEFA Champions League next season, and whether Ajax Amsterdam will pick a European competition spot or not.

PSV are still unblemished going into the Christmas break, Ajax have also improved a little and have the best result in their last 5 games behind PSV, but are still 8 points behind AZ, Ajax need to continue their current form into next year's spring, then they could still be in contention for third or fourth place.

Yesterday was really a feast of football.We saw a lot of goals in the matches and frankly they were all exciting.Twente failed to defeat Rotterdam who were down to 10 men. In the 45th minute Rotterdam, who were down to 10 men, managed to hold on to the match with goals from penalties in the second half.Twente could have even won the match if they hadn't managed to score in the last minute.
Feyenoord managed to beat their opponent Heracles with 4 goals away from home.We cannot say that the opponent was not very effective.Despite being away, Feyenoord dominated the match and won a comfortable victory.
Ajax started to recover slowly.Ajax hosted PEC Zwolle at home.Ajax managed to go 2-0 ahead with Brobbey's goals and left the match with a draw.They had a chance to win the match but they could not take advantage of it.It would have been better for them if they had won this match.Losing points in these matches is a bad result for them if they want to finish in the top 3.

Their league isn't even as competitive as other European leagues as there are just a few teams that are tough in their play.

Even if Ajax can maintain their performance it will be very difficult to reach third place, Feyenoord are also playing very consistently and will probably finish second, PSV have played an outstanding half of the season so far and will probably not lose many more games after the break.

To fight for third and fourth place, Ajax needs to be consistent in maintaining their best form of play which has begun to be shown.

I think Ajax can achieve this with the third place, but more will not be possible this season, PSV and Feyenoord are too consistent and Ajax is not stable enough.

Eredivisie is competitive YES, but always have the problem of being monopolized by one or two teams every year, and that make not so fun to watch the battle for title, like now, PSV is already the champion only a miracle or a big missfortune can change that.

I also think that way. The Eredivision would be boring if the champions were the same club. This is the same as Ligue 1. But I think the battle for places 2 to 5 is still fun to watch. I love it when teams like Twente, Feyenoord and Ajax compete for a place in the Champions League. They are very competitive. But as you said, only a miracle can make PSV fail to win the title this season. Ajax has performed well in the last few matches but it looks like they will not get second place this season because I think Feyenoord is playing quite well this season.

Ajax have not been at their best performances but they've definitely been winning games and have been consistent to it. Definitely a coach has his own impact in a team, once the head is faulty, there'll always be loopholes. It means a lot for a team to get victorious consecutively in a row and for Ajax, that's caused a gradual improvement regardless not doubting that they still have to put in more work. They've got players no doubt but the squad needs to be better, Ajax is a team better than a narrow win, at the moment though, finding the right player who's top and ready in all areas to give that competitive capacity in both the domestic league and the European leagues will be hard. Every team won't want to loose their kept men and every player that's be free are the ones that weren't so solid for the team.

 It's quite expensive to get for a team a high valued player no doubt and Ajax management may not likely be up to the task and it's going to be unsafe to settle for a less standard player.Their winning consistency is good but they just have to find a way to stop the wins from occuring through a narrow means. The coach is good at what he does but he has to improve himself and the team too, once all the necessary characteristics needed are in place, then it'll be an easy ride for Ajax.

Their performance in the UCL isn't that bad but then I think because the competition back here in the eredivisie isn't that high enough it has almost not affected their performance in the UCL, they did well in the UCL and were able to get pass the group stage to the round of sixteen where they currently are looking very promising but then their first opponent is Dortmund which isn't a weak team either. I think it's not even professional club. Didn't saw what happened there, Ajax made comeback from 2:0 to 2:2, but Hercules somehow scored 3th goal on additional time.
Other interesting result is that AZ won vs Hardenberg from 3rd division only after extra time.

Look like they were not fully interested for this match as currently they are at 5th spot but still need more improvement for the having better spot so going with their reserve players also create this upset now their main focus is having some better result in Conference League and doing better in Eredivisie with it's never been easy to have any better spot while they are having 13 points difference from second spotted team Feyenoord and third and fourth are also doing competitive performance.
Most chances PSV will be done better as they are doing excellent in the league and want to end with double which could be good for them and having another season in Champions League give them good experience now second half of the season could be also good and full of entertainment for all fans here.

When Erik Ten Hag was incharge, alot of things changed. Now the falling Ajax that was close to be relegated have redeemed themselves and no longer in tough corners, rather they're in good positions and stability becomes a regular routine for Ajax. Perhaps I give them credits this season, because it's not an easy job to watch a struggling side backup on their feet, and they won't give room  for any inconsistent performance, other than keep moving for greater heights in the football world. Ajax have recover their stand and they might as well start competing for solid position in their league.

I was surprised to see Ajax struggling to win their matches in the Eredivisie league this season, and they were close to the relegation zone. But now Ajax is getting back to their winning ways and they are in the 5th position of the Eredivisie League table. There is no doubt that PSV will win the Eredivisie league trophy this season because they are topping the Eredivisie League with 10 points clear, and I do not see PSV dropping any points soon.

Agreed as they are having 16 matches and already scored 56 goals with concede only 6 which is giving all review how things are going for them into league in this season they are complete package for staying at the top of the league table and having one of the best end for them difference of goals is 50 with second spotted Feyenoord having 38 which is also not bad but after just 16 matches statics like these are completely showing aggressive and tough they are.

They have knock out match against Borussia Dortmund which is currently struggling in Bundesliga and surely this could be not easy game for them hopefully we will have good performance from the PSV, and they will take advantage of this poor run and have chance to jump into last 8 which could be also amazing for them and their league.

Nobody can beat PSV in the league for now. The league is already halfway through the season and PSV has won 16 of its matches. This means that almost all the teams in the Eredivise have played against PSV and they all lost. So it will be more interesting to talk about PSV in the Champions League. They will play Dortmund. Currently they are not a strong team because they are ranked fifth in the Bundesliga and have experienced poor results in their last five matches. I'm sure PSV will take advantage of this and I'm sure PSV will advance to the last 8 without any objections.
