Regardless of everything else, their miners are really good. I have a Black Widow and it's a really nice machine, but, you do need to be aware it draws 600W not the stated 370W and account for that with your PSU / cabling.

While I support GAW opening it's own forum, I'm disappointed that they are cutting off Bitcointalk communication entirely, that openess (good and bad) was one of the the main things I liked about GAW. Bit of a shame really. Sad

when a legal conversation starts to ensue, I'm sure that a company's hand is forced.  Again, I think some good questions are being raised and I have yet to receive my first miner from them, however I can see from a business perspective how alot of this conversation was not productive.

What legal conversations? I don't think one trolls talk of chatting with his lawyer is grounds for abandoning a forum entirely!

Sorry you haven't got you miner yet, have you reached out to GAW to find out where it is? They're very good at at least giving you a status update to what the delay is.

I was actually trying to say in my prior post that I haven't even ordered a miner.  I was in the process of ordering one when it was pulled down today (I was since informed of that and that the A2 would be posted back onlien when inventory was available)  I'm sorry for the confusion this may have caused

It's weirdly reassuring to see the "CEO" continuing the grand tradition of bullshit in the new forums:

Quote
Hey Guys, I asked them to add the back up pool tonight Smiley
(one hour before midnight EST)

Quote
We bought out the next 2 weeks of their supply, and we sold all of them
(in response to a question why A2 miners are not available)

Quote
We are already in talks with them Smiley
(regarding custom A2 miners; I guess they made up with Gridseed aka the arch-nemesis then?)

I got bored after a few minutes though, we need to send reactor there to stir it up a little bit.

Anyone else get the power draw email? Looks like we're stuck, and no word of update. Can anyone code our miners to run better? Is it as simple as that?

A gridseed blade cost 699 hashses at 5.2mh

  3x 699 = 2197
  power draw is 3 x 83 watts = 249 watts
 hash is 3x 5.2mh = 15.6 mh

use a platinum psu like this

http://www.amazon.com/Antec-EA-650-Platinum-Power-Supply/dp/B0064LWI40/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1401536889&sr=8-6&keywords=antec+psu

105 usd

buy 2 of these a great product from gawminers  cost 22 dollars

http://www.gawminers.com/cart.php?suggest=5389c1b41250e

your total cost is 2225   safe stable  runs cool power draw of 249 watts

or buy the black widow from gaw miners

 1799

http://www.gawminers.com/the-black-widow-13-mh-s-asic-scrypt-miner-week-three-with-free-zencontroller/

get 13mh  draw about 400-430  watts

buy the same power supply from amazon  105

the power cables at 12

get 13mh at 1916usd   with 400-430 watts used

and the gear from the youtube video  sounded pretty loud but  it is a youtube video

factor out all the delivery issues.  why i have caught the usps and dhl with bad scans many times with many companies.

factor out the power plugs---------------the 6 pin 8 pin foul-up

you are left with this fact: these new rigs are power hungry compared to gridseed blades. but a little cheaper

at best GAW miners was deceived about the power issues  and did not realize it until they were shipped.

I am being nice…..

So you got gear that is using almost 2x the power that a gridseed blade uses.

Is simply means you need to figure out the power cost. To decide if they are worth the current asking price.

If you do not understand how to decide  what is the better value a gridseed blade is a  at 699 usd  or a black widow at 1799 usd.

Ask an accountant. Or some one that can do the break down price wise.

For me in my home I will use 3 gridseed blades not a black widow.

I spent a little more upfront. about 300-400 usd more
I have to deal with more wires .
 I have more hash 15.9mh vs 13mhs
I spend less power 250 watts vs 400 watts

I think I run quieter not sure.  I think in the long run my choice is better then getting the black widow.  but if you want to be hosted  the widow or the falcon may be better then the blades.

Hi, Alarm bells are ringing

I have so far only seen one person here post that they have actually received any of the following units from Gaw and he/she stated they were one of gaws founders:

War Machine
Falcon
Black Widow
A2 Terminator

I see a lot of talk about Fury.. with some problems stated.

I havent seen anyone state they received the above items
I havent seen anyone state they have received hosting plans, working for these.

Week 2 starts on Monday 2nd June.

So what happened to week 1?  Nobody received anything or everyone totally happy. Ive only found one video about black widow posts (unboxing video) and nothing for the others.

Also the hosted Terminator.. the date has shifted from 2nd July to 4th July. I wants updated about it by email i just happened to notice when logging into my account.

Has anyone actually ever seen, touched, layed hands on a War Machine, Falcon, Black Widow or Terminator supplied by Gaw.

Their images of War Machine and Falcon arent real products look closely they are 3D renditions

Also if you look at GAWs site there are no reviews for any of their branded miners apart from Fury (5 reviews which look a bit fake)

Also i notice in all these posts on the forum there are lots of smileys and a similar writing style. Seems a bit fake also. Rumours of GAW bribing people to write positive thing about them.

Im Concerned - where are all the week one customers? Was their actually a week one at all?

 I Just ordered from gawminers

this is a very good product that they sell

I had a store credit and purchased this from them

http://www.gawminers.com/6-pin-pcie-to-3-x-2-1mm-barrel-tip-power-cable/

If they ever decide to carry gridseed blades again I will order gridseed blades from them.

For now I order gridseed blades from zoomhash.
As of right now I only recommend gridseed products for asic mining of scrypt coins in your own home. Due to power and safety issues.

Sad that gawminers has had these problems.

I hope it gets fixed for those that purchased the newer gear from them.

Note gawminers hosting service appears to be okay if you use a cc and get a 60 or more day  return policy

Got my Black Widow Thursday (in Canada).  People in the USA got it a day or two before that, Canada always takes a bit longer.

Are you serious, why would I take a picture in my hand, there's unboxing videos floating around and pictures all over the place?!

Better, here's my DHL info:
EDIT: <DHL IMAGE REMOVE>

P.S.  All the posts you see about PCIe and 600++ watts PSUs required are for all the bigger units (Black Widow and up), there's a ton of reference to those units in the last week on the forum threads (including this one).

Man... Have you bothered reading a bit throughout the forum before posting?  It's all over the place!  Look for Wednesday and Thursday, there's people "getting their stuff" all over the place. If people didn't get their week 1 pre-order products for which they paid a premium this forum would be on FIRE, there would be a ton of threads all over BCT and Scam accusations would be booming of accusations.

Gawminers blackwidow

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=gawminers+black+widow

(same person, 2 videos)

Gawminers falcon

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=gawminers+falcon
No videos

Gawminers War machine

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=gawminers+war+machine

Looks like GAW didnt even make videos to show their products.  They seem to be making a big effort on their "damage control" marketing right now. Perhaps they could clear things up and show some videos or photos of actual product mining away and remove the 3d rendered pictures from their website?

I would like to ask.. anyone waiting for a week 2 hosted black widow, falcon or war machine. Check by logging into your gaw account. Has the date changed to 4th June by any chance? Did they tell you about this delay by email?
