I personally predicted from the start that Ecuador and the Netherlands would be in this group and put Qatar in 4th place, so this seemed natural to me, especially since the 3 opponents Qatar faced were quite clearly above their level.

Ecuador did impressed everyone with spectacular performance in their 2 nil over the hosts. Qater have no business with football on the pitch, they don't have good players that play in top leagues in the world, not to talk of the players in their country team. Qater coach, Felix Sanchez admits that there was enough pressure on the host in the borh halves. Actually Qatar did not fully qualify to play World Cup football, but as far as we know the country that will host the World Cup will have the opportunity to participate in the World Cup without direct qualification.  In this context, Qatar directly qualified to play the World Cup as the host country of the 2022 Football World Cup.  Anyway, I did not see Qatar perform that kind of football in the last match.  However, as a host country, it has organized a very good World Cup.

Qatar national team coach, Felix Sanchez, admitted that the first match in the opening match brought considerable pressure to his team. for Qatar the match against Ecuador, as well as being their debut on the world cup stage. as I said before in some posts, Qatar has no experience in this world cup. they only benefit from being the home team, even though they looked mighty in the asian cup. but in reality in the opening match, they played under high pressure and found it difficult to keep up with Ecuador's game. and in the following match, not much is expected from the Qatar squad. they will meet tougher teams, namely, Senegal and the Netherlands.
