If there was complete certainty that one of these teams would win gold, then one could bet on all of them and get a guaranteed profit of almost 21%. But I do not think that anyone can give such guarantees. Even if we imagine that all these teams have reached the 1/4 finals (and they can meet each other at earlier stages), it turns out that there will be 2 teams that, in order to become a champion, need to win only 3 games in underdog status. This is a fairly common situation in annihilation games.

I agree with you, but note that many of the European players are Latin American and that includes Brazilians and Argentines.

I really hope that Brazil wins, because i'm Brazilian, it's impossible to cheer against him .
But Europe has always had very strong teams, so it's difficult to guarantee who will win.

In every edition, there will be underdogs who manage to surprise the big teams. Back in 2018, it was Croatia. And there is a good chance that in 2022 it maybe Serbia, Wales or Senegal. Football is a game where even a single mistake can prove to be costly. So I won't be surprised if some of the much hyped teams get kicked out of the world cup by the smaller ones. France looks like the most overhyped team at this point and some of the other UEFA nations are also venturing in to that territory, including Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

The problem with Portugal is obvious, they are too dependent of Cristiano Ronaldo, and the truth have to be said, he is 37 years old, almost impossible to carry the team 7 matches to be the champion, but a decent cup will be at the quarter-finals, and I believe they are capable of. It's probably the last cup for him, and I think he will do everything to play at best, the last cup, the last chance.

Uruguay have old players like Gódin, Luis Suárez and Edinson Cavani who are pretty good and can decide some matches, but old enough to not have a consistency cup, on the bright side they love soccer and world cup, they classified in an incredible way, they were at 7th place and lasting 4 rounds of qualifiers, they won 4 matches and guaranteed the 3rd place.

They also have Arrascaeta of Flamengo, Piquerez from Palmeiras, both are playing so good, that you can expect at least quarter-finals from Uruguay too.

Exactly, you have a good understanding here, England suffer from lack of consistency. I'm not England but I've always liked the squad (Beckham, Lampard, Rooney, Terry etc) but they always get attention of media, always a strong squad, starts well, but they can't hold and lose some "easy" matches and bye bye England.

I agree about Germany, this team is underestimated, but on the other hand there are reasons for this - already two major competitions can be said to be failed and in general it is now difficult to single out someone as a super star there, and the whole team does not show the results that are usually expect from them.

Dependence on Ronaldo even though it doesn't seem right, but things like this will continue to exist until he actually retires from the national team.
Actually Portugal in this case does not lack talented young players but with their dependence on one player it seems as if the talent they have is limited in this case so it is not uncommon when one of the players is good enough to play in the club but does not look good in the national team because it is dependence like this.
