This was by far one of the craziest fpl rounds, managed to get 49 points which has taken me up a few spots, Glad that Trofo finally had an underperforming round which gives the rest of us an opportunity to catch up. Looking forward to the next round with all the injuries and suspensions it will surely be a challenging round for transfers and team selection.

 Congrats on your journey to the top. I'll start revamping my team in a bit to try and catch up with the league leaders before the gap gets too big. This is my first FPL and I have made plenty of bad decisions from following popular opinions to making rational decisions which cost me points (negative points for more than 1 transfer per game week) and those transfers didn't return any points to recoup those losses.

In fact, I really doubted it because, due to problems that I’ve already written about many times, I didn’t even fully understand the functionality of fantasy football, haha. I'm just used to getting an average of about 50 points and seeing the leaders go ahead, but this round I got 51 points and a yellow cap lol.

51 points almost 2x the average points for the just concluded game week. Congratulations!

Perfectly happy with my round. Only 20k drop in places on a week where none of the my players except Trippier returned and my captain got one point in a game where his team scored 6.

This is vintage FPL, next week will probably be the total opposite and many players that people are selling now will return.

As we saw in this thread, someone was so lucky that they scored 170 points with the “average” lineup. If you take a chance and are lucky, then such a number of points will definitely return you to the race (if not immediately to first place). There are already 27 rounds ahead and it seems to me that literally every participant has a chance.

I might have exaggerated with reference to the leaderboard point differences and how little my chances could be to still stand a chance to end up on the prized podium of the pool, my post literally was just rant about how shitty and unlucky my decisions have turned out to be in the past few weeks now despite using my wildcard already, but I was informed by FPL themselves earlier that I'm actually part of the managers that had perhaps below average, but still it should be considered a beautiful week compared to some other managers.
The standouts would be the managers with just 1 point for the game week, and another with a -2 point and majority of his squad out injured or suspended.

I learnt not to react too quickly whenever there is an injury scare for any of my players. I was not surprised to see Haaland play in their Champions league game yesterday and he even scored two goals that ensured that Manchester City qualify for the next round.

Manchester City's GW12 fixture is against Chelsea, and Chelsea have so far this season shown to play well against big teams, and Haaland on the other hand is not a very reliable player when Manchester City play big teams  although he scored against Manchester United. It is possible that Haaland blanks in the game against Chelsea if the Defenders can do a great job of cutting the supply away from him like Arsenal were able to successfully do.

In that Manchester City's visit to the bridge this coming GW, Cole Palmer will also be in focus.

Patience is a virtue in this game, I already had 3 transfers booked for Monday when Maddison injury happened, and immediately decided to wait till deadline. I can't make those transfers anymore but I will rather make informed decision than save 0.1M. This means I will be without Nketiah but can better react to Maddison news and Haaland/Cash news. Haaland/Cash are already confirmed fine, now just to wait out that one more.

Maddison also had a knock, so it's not a big concern; I see some managers have already moved him; sometimes I wonder why certain managers make transfers right after the week's last game. Imo, it depends. There was a game week where Watkins outperformed Haaland. In such a game week, giving Watkins the armband was a better call. Because it didn't work out for Gw10 doesn't mean it was an overly bad decision from your end. I wouldn't say so. Who would've thought Haaland would shine in Man Utd game when it's a public knowledge that he's not so effective in big games?

Also, Allison was solid in that Luton game. Liverpool could've lost by 2-4 goal margin if not for his solid saves.

If we look at it from the point where we have to fall back to a week where Watkins had better point records, then we just might be gambling the whole thing with very little to bank on for an assurance on who could actually swipe the point board.

I think the anticipation here was that, Manchester Cuty had a UCL game and with Bournemouth not looking like a team that could pose any threat, have had relatively bad season this far and are here visitors at the Etihad, it’s a much expectation that, Manchester City will easily win that game and there you would have Pep withdraw his big guns back to the Arsenal in preparation for the UCL fixtures.
It’s not far from what happened but, no one expected E. Haaland not to get a goal out of 45minutes of game play.

You know it’s actually funny to hear you say that just because, the managed to hold Liverpool at bay, got the lead with Liverpool only coming to get a draw at the last minutes. Well, they were really a mighty team but, I just don’t know how Darwin get to send that ball right over the cross bar in the face of goal.

Alison Becker managed at least 4 saves in that game in contrast to Kaminski who had 5 saves. That isn’t so bad to get 3 points over.

Latest news from Arsenal and Arteta is that Saka should be fine after the few knocks he received last night against Sevilla which saw him subsequently subbed off. I am relieved as I feel he could score big against Burnley this Saturday, he could also be considered as a differential captain for this game week if you want to move away from Haaland and Salah. Honestly there is at least 5 potential players the arm band could go to this week, which definitely can help some of us get ahead or take us down the rankings, I also believe there will be a much higher average score this round and maybe some of us can even hit a 3 digit haul.

I understand somehow I just wrongfully assumed that a goalkeeper can't get the full amount of bonus points after conceding.
Yes on paper Watkins looked like a good choice it's just my decisions are sometimes too impulsive

I will always have a special affiliation with mighty Luton Town have won the Champions League with them when I was addicted to a game called Football Manager 2012 (Sega) 
But yes they were very fortunate that Darwin was so wasteful but its's quite impressive that Son, Watkins and now Salah couldn't score against them.
They surely are a trap for (C) will be interesting to see if Haaland can do anything against the might that Luton Town is

What happened to Estu last night? After spending a long period on the sidelines due to injury, he came on in the second half and played for 15 minutes before leaving injured again. He was almost certainly going to take Gusto's spot in my team this weekend, but it's all over now.

Seemed minor, but I am positive he won't be playing this weekend.
I also have him in my team but have benched him already - won't be replacing him due to an easy schedule that's coming to Brighton.

They had 3 injuries yesterday - but I feel that almost nobody has Dunk or Milner so I guess it's not that important to mention.

He played for 12 mins, three minutes less I blame the coach, maybe he should not have played Estupinan when they were already two goals ahead and could have managed without him since he was just new from injuries.

It is no concern of mine though, I had him before and earned me some good points in some GW, but I am not going back to him even if he recovers.

We are in urgent need of another player to share the role with Saka so he can rest more often since he is becoming a target for defenders and now more likely to get injured. Arteta needs to get another player in the next window.

This has been Maddison's issue and the reason why big teams didn't go after him; he's a brilliant playmaker but spends too much time on the sidelines; he had a similar knock with Halaand, but Halaand is already back and running. I was forced to make two early transfers: Bowen for Maddison and Doku for Sterling. £1.4m saved

Blame the fitness coach who declared him fit to Play. The manager was only doing his job trying to manage and  to defend the goal.
