I was planning on selling both but now that I see how much money I would loose if I do that, I am not so sure. Cool 0.5M for each, so 1M less in the bank to have after I bought them back and I know I will want to do that.

Who says they will stay still? Salah and Son are already the first and second most sold assets respectively. They're bound to drop 3 or 4 times each and for most people, they should be able to buy them back at the same price or at a small loss at worst. Plus when they get back they will be price locked for a few days which makes it easier to buy them back.

They will not stay still, they will drop in price, but nowhere near the amount needed for me to come even. Maybe I will not loose full million but I will loose a lot for sure if I remove them both.

I will still probably move them since I have a feeling we could see some injuries during tournaments as well.

Same with me, still decided to do it. I'll just play with 1 less defender in rotation at a later point, I currently leave 13 players to choose from.
After the festive period is over, I feel that 12 is the soft spot anyhow.

I screwed myself with Haaland on the bench already, having Salah and Son there for 3+ games seems like suicide.

I almost thought I missed some crucial points when I saw the red icon beside Salah, thinking he won't play against Newcastle later today.

I still made a few big mistakes, like falling for the Arsenal trap and benching Palmer, which cost me 18 points, but at least I cashed in on Foden.

Now, my next plan is to wait for a window to bring back Haaland to the squad and decide which forward(Watkins/Solanke) to sacrifice once he's good to go.

Well Salah captainers, congratulations.

What is even the point of captaining differentials when Salah or Haaland will score a few goals and send their owners out of the pack.

But what I'm most annoyed about is that my bench is so full of 0-pointers and did-not-plays that some are even seeping into the XI.

Maybe it was just a bad week for defenders in general.

I hate what these guys do with marking players as not going to play, but go on to play full 90 minutes, it's ridiculous...makes me wonder who provides this information to them!!!

Otherwise glad I gambled on Sallah to play despite that first scare of missing a penalty and redeemed himself with 2 goals and an assist, couldn't be any happier but still trailing in the pool

Was a fan of playing more defenders in my team, but realised we have fewer cleansheets going round this season, and would advocate for the 3-5-2 formation for better results.

Defenders are (at least statistically) a bad choice. I usually play with 3 at the back, which I feel is the best way to go.
We don't see many clean sheets, and even if they do get a CS, a midfielder gets a point for a CS as well so basically gets 3 points less and has way more chances for a goal/assist.

TAA and Trippier have done well, but they also come at a high cost. Most good defenders average 3 points per GW, which is not something you want.

Palmer is a must for a while already - all the top teams have him.
He plays most minutes, takes penalties, and overall gets a lot of the ball in dangerous areas.

For that price, he's a no-brainer. One of the best picks in Fantasy this season.

Palmer is an absolute steal at £5.6m at this point in the season - he's in form and the second U21 with the most goal involvement in 2023 after Bellingham. Sometimes I marvel how we were able to persuade City to sell at such a low price given his potential.

5 different goal scorers and still had one of the shitty GW

Another absolute steal that I was considering was Michael Olise, but it seem he's pick up a bit of knock too, I don't he's completely fit for long term have, but he's had a monster haul in the last for consecutive games for a player of his calibre valued just under £6m, for now, and after their fixture against Arsenal, Crystal Palace seem to have some good fixture to have him and/or Eberechi Eze for.

I had him early in the season and took him off after the first injury. This is not a viable option. Eze and Ayew seem more logical.

As I made Alvarez the captain instead of Salah I lost quite many points. On top of that just to buy Alvarez I used one of my free transfer rights and I had to spend -4 points this week. I have sold Salah for now however his price dropped by only 0.1. Maybe the best strategy was to make him wait on the bench even if it is for a long time like 4 matches.

At the end of Gw20 I still can't believe that I'm this close to Trofo. By the way are som3aa and seekahz from Bitcointalk forum? They are also doing very well.

Edouard would have been Ayew replacement for me, but I've got the perfect selection option I want for my forwards and Ayew leaving for International duties would make Eze and Oliseh play a more advance style as Palace major scoring options, perhaps Mateta could be worth a look too, but as I've said earlier, my forward line is complete.

That was quite a great week for me, I'll be getting over 100 Points in total once my autosub comes into play, I really can't even remember the last time I was close getting such points for a game week, pheew!

If I had Areola on instead of Raya for gw20, I would've had over 90 points which would've been my All time high in a single game week. But Raya has had his days and in those days, he got me Cleansheets. Biggest mistake this week was not believing in Salah despite being a Liverpool fan. If I had Areola on instead of Raya for gw20, I would've had over 90 points which would've been my All time high in a single game week. I have 22 points on the bench so my benching wasn't really on spot as well- Anyway I got rid of both Salah and Son in the end for -4, wanted to catch all price rises and now I have a team without single premium player and 11.3M in the bank. Don't think this ever happened to me before.

Ah, then I go for Palmer easily. I was short 0.9 M to get Haaland (not to actually get him just to aim for that) but I'm slowly selling off players and I think making good enough money to have a team I like + Salah once he returns, and have money to play around with.

nelson4lov didn't know you were a fan. At least you're not deliberately and stubbornly stuck with Nunez (hahaha). I should win award for worst captain/vice combo (Nunez; Diaz).

106 points is quite impressive. Areola was in my squad too. However I chose Alvarez as the captain instead of Salah as I thought that Alvarez had a potential to make a hat-trick this week. Besides Harkorede also had a quite nice week with 104 points. He was just unlucky as he missed 1mbtc free bet by 2 points.

By the way the competition for the lead is really heated. There is only a gap of 3 points between the leader Trofo and the 3rd placed som3aa.
