I'm beginning to have some doubts about Trippier. He was suspended for gw17 but prior to that, he performed very poorly against Tottenham's attack some weeks back and today, he was the reason why Chelsea won the tie and moved to the EFL semi finals.

I should have kicked Trippier out by now, but I still have Trippier in my team, and will keep him this week against Luton before I even consider subbing him out for another better option. I expect him to redeem himself from the mistakes against Chelsea and deliver good points for me against Luton who cannot be compared to them. It should also be a clean sheet for Martin Dubravka.

As the AFC Bournemouth-Luton Town FC match has been decided to be played again at the end of the season FPL board have decided to remove the points of the players who played in the match. This means a 4 points loss for me. I don't think it is fair that the points are taken back after the day ends. But there is nothing that could be done about it.

Freaking shitty decision by FPL 

I'm getting a 1 pointer Mitoma for Solanke, who definitely is bound for some extra points as well too, and I literally took a 4 extra points hit to bring in Solanke for the game week, all transfer concerning the players for either sides should have been reversed too, what is the essence or fairness for getting a double disadvantage just for bringing in a player, huh ?!

It seems Mitoma hasn't scored in 11 weeks... I decided to place a big bet on the goal on his behalf.

I hope this happens... in any case I will double the bet until he scores a goal. So we'll see where I end up in a couple of weeks.  

Mitoma is a must-sell at this point, he's been rotated too many times this season, he's been managed to stay fit for his first Asian cup participation coming up..

I was thinking about buying Solanke instead of Jackson but I got off lightly. If I lost points for transfer and had a situation like this I would have really got very sad. But I think it was the right decision to be made. Because the match has been completely cancelled. There wasn't any need to wait this long to make this decision.

I am not sure he even plays, he played a lot of minutes today but so did Gakpo. Tsimikas also played a lot of minutes and I am a bit worried about him as well. Need to get rid of either him or Lascelles and can't decide who to ditch. Lascelles has better fixture but bigger chance of loosing first team place sooner.

I had good bench with Gordon and Lascelles 6 pointers waiting so it could have been worse. My problem is I went -4 and removed Haaland just to target Luton game for Solanke. Would have never done that if I knew that the game will not be played. But this is something out of our hands, only important thing is that Tom Lockyer is ok as much as he can be, this is just the game in the end and shouldn't be taken that seriously.

He'll play. Jota's still out, Gakpo had a decent game today but I expect Nunez to be given the advantage.
Tsimikas was subbed, meaning he'll probably start ahead of Gomez. Still, I'll sit him on the bench - Arsenal isn't the game where I feel he'll excel.

Yeah, luckily it was 1-1 at the time and not 3-0 so neither team will feel bad about the decision. Imagine being 2-0 up and having to replay it all over again, starting from scratch.

Newcastle's next two games is against Luton Town (away) and Nottingham Forest (home) respectively — until then, I'm good with Trippier. I know he'd want to redeem himself for his shortcomings in recent games. As for Darwin, there's a good chance that he might blank because Arsenal has the best defense in the EPL this season with 7 clean sheets so far and Nunez is not the kind of player that gets 3 shots in and can manage to score at least 2. As a matter of fact, there's a chance that he might even lose all 3 chances to due his ill-luck.

Just to add, Nunez did hit the woodwork today against West ham. It was an EFL game - just thought to mention it because he might end up blanking.

I am keeping him until the end of the season. Now that I got Porro, soon I will have triple Trent - Porro - Trippier defense.

He might blank, but I don't fancy a clean sheet for anyone here. After all, we got the second-best defense in the league.

I chose Watkins as my captain for this game week. I think that he has a potential to score more than 1 goal against Sheffield United. If I didn't choose Watkins my choice would have been Son.  

But this is something out of our hands, only important thing is that Tom Lockyer is ok as much as he can be, this is just the game in the end and shouldn't be taken that seriously.

You are absolutely right. Health comes before everything. I'm really very happy that Tom is okay. I hope that he recovers as soon as possible.

A crazy harsh decision if those managers who use chips on him aren't getting those back, the FPL has some weird unacceptable rules.

The FA's decision to replay the match from the beginning was yet another example of mismanagement and corrupt practice; the same thing happened in the match Granada - A. Bilbeo in HT when someone in the stands suffered a heart attack and the match was abandoned and resumed the next day with the same scoreline, for what reason was the match cancelled when the player was already responding to treatment?

Man, everyone who picked him last season said the same thing: he was the reason why Buwatress almost finished last; he left the captaincy on the dude for much too long, expecting he would turn things around, but he never did. He committed the same mistake earlier into the season. Do buwaytresses ever learn?

I had no idea there was a game today, so I'm glad I was able to set up my team for the week ahead of my regular Friday transfers..

I don't think I'll be considering having KDB anytime soon, he's been out for quite a while and Guardiola will be very cautious with his playing minutes for the time being, and having KDB without Haaland in my team would seem like an invalid formation, because I'd expect Haaland to be back to his best form with KDB at the helm of the supply line, it's just going to take a while before their duo would work it out perfectly again in my opinion.

I don't think it voids chips:

My free hit benched Neto, Senesi, and Solanke and put Dubravka, Walker and Colwill on the XI (it skipped Isak for some reason who was 1st sub).

My cup opponent who had Solanke captained had the captaincy transferred to Palmer who he vice-captained (!).

I forgot to change my captain as I forgot there was a match in the Premier League on Thursday. I was expecting much more contribution from Sterling last week however Mauricio Pochettino subbed him off from the match early. I think the cost of forgetting about changing the captain will be heavy for me.

Shouldn't Aston Villla have had at least one penalty kick in the first 45 minutes of this game ? I really don't understand what VAR does in the EPL or when it gets to suggest that the referee should take a look at the monitor on the sideline ? I mean the referee clearly would given one of those calls if was asked or allowed to see the replay, but VAR gets to decide what should and shouldn't be looked at again for a second opinion ??!

Really hard done by VAR so far. They scored in second half and then VAR called ref to check contact on GK and of course that one got disallowed. I am not saying there wasn't contact but it is really though to judge contact from still picture.

While I was writing this there was another penalty check for Villa and again ref wasn't called I guess it is not profitable enough to have Villa on top of PL. Better make it one of the big clubs.

It's was a really stupid decision to have disalllowed that goal, play had continued, of course I agree there was grabbing of the goalkeeper's arm by a Villa player, but a Sheffield United is clearly pulling the same Aston Villa player, it was just a case of 3 players being entangled, I understand that the goalkeeper in that case should have been awarded a foul, but play had continued and Sheffield United were breaking away on a counterattack and advanatge if not for the clean interception by Watkins, so that Sheffield Uniited having the ball for while after that supposed foul should literally have been ruled as ball advantage because, If Watkins hadn't intercepted that break away pass and it leads to Sheffield United goal, the goal would have stood right ?

Another reason why Everton received a ten-point deduction whereas City and other major teams remain safe as eggs is because they generate more money to the league. The FA will not allow anything that will ruin the image of the league and World champions.
