I pulled the trigger before the news to be honest, from the first 3 game weeks my freehit was planned for next week when we have the Liverpool vs Man City fixture because I thought I would have at least 5 players from both teams, and looking at this week I have double Man City and Bournemouth, while I also have4  Tottenham and Chelsea players 2 in defense 2 in attack, there was no easy way to navigate the fixture for me, as the double and blank week, I think I’ll be fine knowing this early, I’m just rather annoyed that my previous team might eventually outscore my freehit team.

Not every player is a good dribbler, and I think Gyokores is one in that category. Personally I think his performance has improved and is still improving; he played really well for me today up until Arteta took him off to rest him for the upcoming Champions League game later this week.

After Arteta took him off, our attack crumbled a bit, and we lost that edge, because with him in attack, defenders are always occupied, and his hold of play is good, giving other players like Saka and Trossard enough opportunity to be in 1v1 situations or even free at times. He is trying to fit into a new system, and he may not score in every game, but his recent contributions are something I don't overlook.

I didn’t forget to check my team this week, but maybe I should have. The only thing I did was sub Joao Pedro for Isidor, hoping to get some points from my attacker — and what happened? Pedro scored! I’m really unlucky in these fantasy games. I also captained Saka, hoping for some double digits from him, only to be disappointed with just 6 points. I was watching the game too — in the second half, Arsenal didn’t even look interested in scoring a third goal. When will luck finally be on my side.

Yeah, peak FPL but I don't mind that I made that transfer from Joao Pedro to Mateta. I prefer picking players that get opportunities every week and Mateta stats eye test are so much better than those of Joao Pedro.

Of course it isn't ideal getting rid of players like Pedro and Gyokeres before they have easy games since both are playing good minutes in good teams but I wanted Mateta in my team more and I don't regret that move.

I made a stupid mistake in this gameweek. I was expecting a tough game for City against Bournemouth and an easier game for United against wobbly Forest, so i decided to go with Mbuemo as captain, instead of Haaland. What a disaster.

I think it is time for me to play the WC chip. My team is not so bad, but gameweek 19 is not too far away either, so yeah. Necessary to use it right about now.

Yeah both Gyökeres, Joao Pedro and even Salah had to wait for massive transfer out to actually get attacking returns I expected it immediately I saw them been moved out a lot, it’s part of the FPL fun moments. Seriously I was disappointed with Bukayo Saka who was my captain for missing two clear cut chances that you will bet he would score any day.

In terms of ability when I look at players like Harry Kane and I see how Gyökeres plays I just agree that Harry is the most complete striker ever and we would had have such in the premier league for now par Halaand, Gyökeres is simply making this game difficult for himself by been so physical.

I can confirm for Everton And Arsenal with probability of Crystal Palace too having a double game week. Arsenal have games against wolves and Everton which is fair one than Everton who would have both Chelsea and Arsenal as the double games

Well, everything went great this weekend! I even set aside Haaland as captain—it gets boring always relying on him, right? 

In any case, Rice was my choice, and he scored the same points as Haaland. Although I still have the Norwegian on my team, I knew he's the eternal captain for many, so his score could easily neutralize my advantage.

Once you find yourself at the bottom of the table, it is pretty difficult to make any real progress because as you gather up points, those ahead of you are also taking in points as well to keep them ahead.

A bad start really affects chances of doing well really, your best bet is just to target to win as many free bets as possible.

A bad start really affects chances of doing well really, your best bet is just to target to win as many free bets as possible.

I haven’t had to start at the bottom of the table before but, even somewhere around the mid table doesn’t offer enough encouragement. You always come under the impression of, you’ve already loss and wouldn’t want to tend to your team or rack up points as to be in the league no more.
It might not matter much in the 1st, up to the 3rd GW , even the 5th GW might be considerable but, it sure does matter in 6th going forward because, everyone else would be out there racking points and catching up on loose ends.

Last season thought bitter lessons on my start, going exclusive on Salah and not having to throw Haaland somewhere in there when it mattered in the start, it did cost me the entire season.

Pedro really decided to perform after so many people decided to sell or bench him.    Saka missed some really big chances to score I'm afraid. Even Gyökeres scored somehow which I liked it a lot.

I was happy with bringing James into my team this time. In addition Chelsea have great fixtures for gameweek 11 and 12. I hope to collect solid points in these matches as well.

I really don't think I can't complain much about my points total for the round, because at least it's still up there with our ML average, it's just painful that it came at the cost of chip which probably isn't necessary considering the points my previous squad with 3 free transfers would have amass, but then I like the fact that I have enough transfers to navigate the rest of the coming few gameweeks.

Same here. Nearly everyone has him has captain, so any experiment with another player could turn out to be a disaster, like what happened with Mbuemo. I hate him too, lol.

Seeing this makes me feel less terrible about my own disaster of a decision, making Mbuemo captain, lol. Your Ekitike decision could have turned out to be fair if his headed goal had stood, but he was offside. I guess you are also leaving Haaland as captain for the rest of the season like me.

The game is just pushing us to captain Haaland only man.    I tried captaining Gyökeres vs West Ham once and immediately got punished. Thankfully Haaland scored only 1 goal then though.

He just scores nearly in every game and it's so difficult to take the captaincy from him even in the toughest fixtures... Anyway, I hope Xhaka collects so many points today as there is only 1 player who has him above me.

Halaand is the only one scoring all Manchester city goals, he's the target man, Mbuemo isn't. Whenever you're in doubt leave the band on either Salah or Halaand and you're saved.

Yeah, you're right, but (imo) I actually think that kind of attitude applies more to betting pools or prediction games. Fantasy is different. It's about genuinely wanting to manage a team, try new things, and sticking with it until the season ends. That's why it takes so much time and dedication, even if your team is terrible. We play for the love of managing our favorite league; the extra money (FB my case) is just the ultimate bonus. (fin imo ) Anyway...
