Time to show some love fpr Champions league pool topic and move it to the top. 1/4 finals begins today and half of us still haven't made predictions..
Benfica - Inter and City Bayern.  What are your thoughts? Seems that bookmakers heavy favoured City in 1st leg. I think that they understimate Bayern too much.
In other pair Benfica is looking strong against Inter. Benfica playing very solid all season long. Yes, they lost to Porto on Friday, but it was visible that all their focus is on game with Inter. While Inter struggling a lot recently. Including all competitions they already failed to win 6 games in a row. So, I'm going with Benfica ML.

If it's a money bet, a win or a double chance for Bayern is an easy choice. You have to be a very optimistic City fan to bet with a 1.60 odds of them winning. It's just not profitable if opponent is Bayern. If we talk about the choice in the pool, then this is different and it may be logical to choose City (although who knows).
I also expect Benfica to win - Inter has decent odds only because of the brand, their game itself does not deserve good ratings now.

I think Inter vs Benfica would be a draw at the very least or Inter securing a narrow win, but Bayern vs City that's something I really don't know to decide but I followed the most valuable odds imo which is Bayern Munich ML @ 5+ Odds.

I also think Manchester City will win today. However I would never be against Bayern Munich by a 1.60 odd. It wouldn't be a surprise for me if there is a 0-0 draw for the Inter match. I think the actual surprise will happen in the Real Madrid - Chelsea match tomorrow and Chelsea won't lose.

I anticipated a win for Inter Milan, I swear! I just feel bad that I only have it as a parlay on both Bayern Munich and Inter to win, and I could follow my guts still to go for an Inter win in the pool.

I just needed a Bayern goal and I would have got the complete six points for tonight games.I had initially Benfica to win 2-1 but then I said to myself Inter has a whole lot better players compared to Benfica and they now are only focusing in the Champions League because at Serie A they are screwing it game after game but the quality of the players is still there and changed to 0-2 for Inter which came true thanks to a controversial decision of the referee,it could have been penalty but it could have been not.

I wouldn't absolutely bet on Man.City from a 1.60 odd tonight. But you can make bolder predictions in the pool. Even though I'm quite unsuccessful in this pool it is nice to see that there is a match in which only I get 3 points. There are 2 more matches tomorrow. I hope I can win the yellow cap somehow. I have the same points with swogerino now.

That's right, City won easily against Bayern. I expected both teams to score in this match, but my prediction was wrong. Tonight, Haaland managed to score a goal and assisted Silva's goal, while Bayern's striker Sane tried to score but his efforts were unsuccessful.

I also didn't expect Inter Milan to win against Benfica, which caused me to lose my only bet tonight. I only earned one point in the pool. Tomorrow we have two beautiful matches for both Madrid and Napoli, and they are my favorites. Let's see if I'm lucky enough to win my tickets!!

Exactly, Bayern bosses are looking like clowns right now. 
Sure, Man City is extremely hard to beat while Haaland is playing so impressively but Bayern won all games in Champions league so far (2x against PSG, 2x against Barcelona, 2x against Inter) just to give it away already in round 1 of quarter finals. No way Bayern will score 4 goals at home against Man City, while keeping Man City at 0. It's basically impossible job.
Would Nagelsmann have done worse as Bayern did today? Most likely not.

I even wonder why Tuchel decided to bench Müller and Mané. Müller is always someone you need in such games. Mané isn't in perfect form but I would have given him a chance against Man City, an English team.

I think he didn't play Muller and Sane because he was trying to deprive Man City of dominating possession and he played right into Guardiola's trap, Man City weren't possession hungry today, the were more about being very clinical and getting Bayern Munich as soon as they lose the ball and are somewhat disorganized, It really could have been 4-5 goals victory in quick succession, I just hope Man City don't get overconfident enough to think this tie is over, it's very far from over.

Back to my CL predictions, I chose Benfica, Real Madrid, and Manchester City to win the first leg. I watched Bayern's last match, and with key players out injured, I don't think they can stop Manchester City right now. Benfica and Real Madrid will easily defeat Inter and Chelsea.

Seems like we expected too much from Haaland. Blame the midfield or blame him, I don't know. But still to convert 50% of shots into goal is impressive.

I chose Benfica and that didn't happen, I really honestly didn't expect Bayern to give up the semifinal so easily, now City can relax and experiment, but I really want Chelsea to perform!

They know how to win matches even when they play bad, and that happens more in Champions League.
My prediction was for Inter to win 0:1 but they scored two goals, surprisingly I didn't move much on Superbru table

Uff. 3:0 Man City. As a Bayern fan this one is pretty hard to swallow. Looks like we're out of the CL.  

From my point of view, it was a very unfortunate game yesterday. First Rodri scores an absolute luckshot (wonderful goal ofc, but these just don't happen very often). And then Upamecano makes a disastrous mistake just before 2:0. And then Bayern's game gets completely out of hand and the players get nervous.

Uff. Such a bummer, especially since they came out of halftime so well and pressed for the 1:1.

Anyway, GG Man City. Looks like we saw the potential CL winners.

It's not impossible for Chelsea, but logic and common sense tells that Real will win. When you look how Chelsea is playing, it's difficult to expect something from them, but it's knockout stages, everything is possible.

I would also love that Chelsea to show up some great football and to put Real Madrid in real difficulty but when I started reasoning cold headed I thought that Chelsea has been going from bad to worse in their recent results and the change of coach at this point was senseless for me while Real Madrid is only focusing 100% here in the Champions League and after winning 0-4 against Barcelona that was a great boost for them as they maybe thinking we can beat any team and we are the favorites to win Champions based on our experience and that is why I bet all my remaining balance for the week for them to win tonight.

Now my opinion is not very relevant  but still, even knowing the results, I remain of my opinion - Inter was overestimated. How can a team with zero wins in the last 6 games, in the away game, be about equal in strength to an opponent (which is good)? It's still weirder with Bayern and even if the bookmakers were right in the end but damn... When i see him on the bench i cant believe, doesnt matter if he its doesnt playing ood at the moment, its a player who knows how to play this kind of games, and always has some action or goals/assists.

City home odds against Bayern (no matter result) were similar to Real home odds against Chelsea, strange world we are living in

I always have some odds in my head before looking at bookies, and in these four QF not even one is close

what I had before looking at odds is following - Real below @1.5, City @1.9 similar to Benfica home @1.9, Napoli @2.2
all went at least 0.2/0.3 difference, not that usual, have to say
