Why not, if Potter is able to fix the problems that occur in his squad and find the right strategy formulation. it is not impossible, Chelsea will come back fierce. either in the Domestic League or the Champions League. after all, in fact, Chelsea has potential with its players, even though they are not too favorite in this competition.

Chelsea is a really interesting team when it comes to the Champions League. They always seem the underdog in this tournament. But they are always one of the teams to be careful against in the Champions League. Because they have played completely different here for long years. It is like they have been caring about this title more than the Premier League title in the meantime. I don't see other explanation to their success here in the recent years. We can give the 2020/21 season as an example for this. While not many people were thinking of them to win the CL title they just made it.

But if the opponent is Real Madrid, then Liverpool's hopes of qualifying for the quarter-finals will be very difficult. Actually, this cannot be confirmed from now on because it is possible that Chelsea will appear more in the Champions League than other teams like Dortmund. I have to say it's clear that we are not going to see Chelsea to be a big team in UCL this year, but at the same time there are not that many favourites that end up winning most years neither. Like just last year, we saw real being not favourites against psg and city and Liverpool and yet they beat them all, or previous year Chelsea themselves came all the way to finals and beat City as well.

These are all proof that we are talking about how underdogs of a size could win. I am not expecting Benfica or Porto or Napoli type of team to win it, but Chelsea is a big club and even though they are not favourites, they would still be able to win it for sure.

They are underrated because they are really bad this season and they started the season pretty bad. They had a new coach and in the epl they will fight just to reach the champions league next season. I dont think they can do anything in UCL at all this season

I can already see the end of the road for Milan. I don't think they have a bigger chance than Tottenham to advance to quarter finals. Because I didn't like Milan's group stage performance much. They seemed pretty vulnerable against Chelsea in the group. They lost both matches. This just makes me think like they are still not ready for big challenges in the Champions League. At least they are a little more successful here in this season because they couldn't even qualify from their group last season.

I can't say that Tottenham had a good run in the group stage either but they are still in a better condition than Milan. Above all else I think they have a more reliable and capable squad than Milan. For crying out loud, AC Milan are not a bad side, to be frank, aren't Milan a better side than Tottenham Hotspur ? I know quite well Antonio Conte won against them when he was Coach of Juventus and Inter Milan but judging before the World Cup began, who have been a Betty side ?
