It still surprises me that Chennai Super Kings with hardly any T20 specialists managed to defeat a well balanced team such as the Gujarat Titans. They had hardly any regular Indian players (apart from Ravindra Jadeja), and were up against a team that comprised of Indian national team payers such as Shubman Gill, Mohammad Shami as well as overseas stars such as Rashid Khan. In the end Mahendra Singh Dhoni proved how important captaincy is in cricket. He motivated a bunch of youngsters and a few oldies near retirement to an IPL title.

But this time the role of bowlers got reduced to a new record. Not feeling very happy about this.

LOL.. I will not compare Rashid Khan with Tushar Deshpande. Rashid is known as a bowler who is quite miserly during the middle overs. Deshpande on the other hand has a reputation of leaking runs (although he compensates that by taking crucial wickets). Spinners were disproportionately impacted in this seasons IPL, probably due to smaller boundaries. Among the top-10 bowlers, this season we have 5 pacers and 5 spinners, which is roughly similar to the proportion we had in 2022. But the economy rates are awful. 8.23 for Rashid, 8.11 for Piyush and so on.

If there are not many runs in IPL, if four sixes are not seen then no one will be interested in this tournament. To make the IPL tournament attractive to all, the wickets are usually batting dependent so that the batsmen have a good advantage in scoring runs. Even the bowlers who bowl well are undoubtedly to be commended. 

Deshpande and Rashid Khan's one-match performance cannot be said to have bowled poorly. 
Rashid Khan picked up several wickets along with economical bowling.
Deshpande though has been a bit expansive throughout the season but has picked up some crucial wickets at times of need for the team. These two bowlers were regular players of CSK if they had not performed well then the team would never have won the title.

Haha, I called it that Chennai Super Kings will win just to get a 5-5 draw with MI on this trophy count. The last 2 bowls were stupid and got the match to lose from Gujrat's hands. Mohit Sharma should have bowled a yorker on off-side, the most they could get was a 2 or a single. Yorker to leg is the easiest 4 runs for a batsmen. Poor performance by the bowling unit, could have stopped them much earlier. Dhoni got out at 0 was funny and sad at the same time.

If this IPL is the last IPL of Dhoni's career then I would say MS Dhoni ended his career the way he started his career. Because MSD was very flop in the beginning. Despite getting multiple opportunities, he repeatedly proved himself a failure. But the team management trusted him and in return he gave a lot for India. That is why I said that the end of his career is like the beginning. Because in the last match he got out with the first ball as soon as he came down on the wicket. As MSD walked towards the out pavilion with the first ball, his eyes looked like he might be crying. Being an MSD fan, it was very difficult for me. Even though he couldn't play the last match like himself, MSD did a great last season.

I'm not surprised by the performance and other things that happened with individual players as well as with the teams. I was quite surprised and happy to see how good is the progress of T20 scoring. What a difference, team scoring 200+ runs have got doubled from the previous season. This season of IPL have got 74 matches including the finals. Among that we were able watch good percentage of match having scores 200+ and the same being chased at several instances were really impressive.

I saw the interview you mentioned a long time ago. This video of him was uploaded on the IPL Twitter page. There he was probably asked about his last IPL but he smiled and replied that he has not announced anything about it now.  Then the person who questioned MSD laughed and said maybe we can see Dhoni in IPL one more time for CSK. Till now there is no confirmed news about whether MS Dhoni will play one more season of IPL or retire this season. Thinking of Dhoni fans, maybe Dhoni can be seen in IPL for one more season

Every year the IPL gives something to Indian cricket that cannot be found in any other session.  IPL 2023 has ended but produced some young talented cricketers. There is no greater achievement for Indian cricket by this tournament. Yesterday's final was a competitive match where both teams had to wait until the last over. CSK maintained a consistent performance from the beginning of the game but the end was the most exciting. The team became 5 times champion by turning a lost match into a win.

There's a lesson for team like GT to be learned from CSK's victory. It wasn't just luck that helped CSK win, but it was the leadership of their captain, MS Dhoni, who now has an impressive nine T20 titles under his belt. Throughout the season, CSK's openers really stepped up their game and played well, which ultimately helped the team clinch their fifth IPL title. Just amazed what was going through Pandya's mind during his conversation with Mohit after the last over of the 4th ball. Perhaps it disrupted his rhythm and affected his performance?

Ms Dhoni was bowled out at zero in the final match and at that moment i thought that Chennai super kings may lose the final. When Chennai super kings needed 10 runs off last two balls, i was confirmed that Chennai super kings will be able to defend it but Jadeja, had other plans. He hit  six and a four and gave Chennai super kings a memorable victory that will be remembered for a long time.

Although almost a day has been passed since we had the final, but the memories of IPL especially of the final still remain fresh in our minds.

GT possible triumph was eagerly anticipated especially in light of the enormous amount they had gathered. Rain intervened forcing the match to transition to the DLS mode but fate had other idea. The superb management of MS Dhoni allowed CSK show their tenacity and tenacity. They won the match with five wicket remaining after quickly chasing down the revised 171 run mark in just 15 over. I am a big fan of Chennai Super Kings watching the match towards the end I thought maybe I won't win but luckily I won. When 10 runs were needed from 2 balls I thought it was not possible but Ravindra Jadeja clinched the title with a brilliant performance at the last minute. Chennai Super Kings have won the most trophies in the IPL having won a total of five titles from 2008 to 2023. Chennai Super King 2010, 2011 and 2018, 2021 and 2023 have won a total of five IPL Cups. While some teams are yet to win even 1 cup in IPL, Chennai Super Kings have won five times. So it can be said that Chennai Super Kings is a strong team in IPL and they can be expected to win more cups in IPL in future.

CSK won, so that should have been fine. From the scorecard, I see CSK had 10 6s, vs 9. But GTs seemed to have scores way more 4s, so I should have lost that leg.
