When Babar Azam and Mohammad Rezwan got some stability on the wicket, I thought that maybe these two batsmen would seal Pakistan's victory and then strike but in reality something different happened. Congratulations to David Warner and congratulations to Australia for a nice win.

It was a wonderful performance from the Australian openers and the Pakistan openers started out with a century partnership and that is the start Pakistan needed to chase a total like 367 runs and they were handling the Australian bowlers really well until Marcus Stoinis got the ball and once he made the break through and sent their openers back to the pavilion they started to control the match better and started picking wickets.

Pakistan is in deep trouble, Rizvan is out after scoring 46 runs. 7 wickets down and the asking run rate is now 10.4, this match has gone out of Pakistan's hand. Another pressure match and Pakistan batters are unable to handle the pressure. The bowling and fielding of the Pakistan team today was way below their standard. Looks like they haven't been able to come out of the loss against India. Much needed win for the Australian team in order for them to make a comeback in this tournament.  

Pakistan team will lose this match because Pakistan has lost 8 wickets in 280 runs .Adam Zampa is bowling very classic  and Australia is very close to win . Stoinis took first  2 wickets and break the partnership of Imam UL Haq and Abdullah. Pakistani openers played well and set partnership of 134 runs . Muhammad Rizwan and Iftikhar started to build partnership but Adam Zampa review  bent the match into Australian side. David Warner will be man of the match  who played excellent inning of 163 runs  and stand a big target .Mitchel Marsh also performed century and made  121 runs in just 108 balls.Australia will get 2 points on the points table and Australian points will be 6 .

Australia vs Pakistan match If Pakistan could have stopped Australia within 300 runs then Pakistan would have won the match tomorrow. We all know that Pakistan's bowling line is very good but yesterday Pakistan's bowlers were almost helpless against David Warner's hostile bat. Shafique and Imam-Ul-Haq had a good start and their partnership has progressed well but both of them could not bat very well after their fifty. Adam Zampa bowled brilliantly and took four wickets in 10 overs. Congratulations Australia team beat Pakistan by 62 runs Australia won this match Congratulations.

In the first 8 overs, Pakistan's bowling was on top of the Aussie openers, but that first spell by Haris Rauf was the turning point of the match; he was continuously bowling poor line and length and was punished by Warner and Marsh. Once these batters started making runs, there was no one stopping them. They hit 6s with ease. Poor bowling by Pakistan in the middle overs as well; apart from Iftikhar, no other spinner was impressive. And don't talk about the Pakistan fielding in the match; it was below standard, and even the associate team can do better than what they did in the field. Credit to Australia for the way they have bowled Pakistan out on a batting paradise. Hazelwood, in my opinion, was at his best in accessing the conditions and hitting the right length.

Netherlands are batting in the first innings against Sri Lanka and may not be able to score too many runs in today's match. I am currently watching the game, but Netherlands are not giving a very good batting performance, and they are losing wickets only. If the Netherlands team continues to play like this, I think they will not be able to cope with Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is a strong enough team compared to netherlands and today match Sri Lanka is more likely to win, and I have made a prediction, Sri Lanka will win the match. Although today we can see the performance of Sri Lanka's game, today they have some improvement in their bowling performance. However, Netherlands' bowling performances are stronger, if Sri Lanka does not bat well for them, they will not be able to win. And right now Sri Lanka have taken one wicket from the Netherlands, so far they have lost 1 wicket and collected 23 runs in 7 overs.

Okay, this is game over for Pakistan, The 8th wicket is down and the run rate is climbing up.

It was turning out to be a perfect chase, almost but Aussie kept chipping wickets in intervals. Now I can understand why Pakistani fans use the word "Zimbabar" every now n then.

Going forward Australia needs to work on their catching, they also dropped a few catches and gave good competition to Pakistan's fielders. Today they were saved but against top teams, it'll cost them a match.

Australia was saved today only with the excellent score they could muster up, all thanks to openers. They can't expect such inning each time. Aussies might make it to semis but not further. I feel we will see India vs NZ in finals, only these two appear worthy teams to me.

On a side note, neither Australia or Pakistan could capitalize on foundation openers had created.

Actually, throughout the match, both teams actually tried to give an opponent an advantage and tried to lose. In the end, the least worst team won the match.

Pakistan started this by dropping Warner along with 3 other drops, clown captaincy by Babar. Australia's middle order returned the favor with their ridiculous batting, followed by Australia dropping both openers and they stitched 100+ runs partnership but Pakistanis did what they do best and failed to capitalize and kept losing wickets despite a majority of batters getting a nice start.

LOL.. Netherlands in very poor condition in the very next match after their upset win against South Africa. They were 91/6 after Scott Edwards got out. Now Sybrand Engelbrecht and Logan van Beek have helped them to reach 130/6. The first target for the Dutch would be to reach a total of at least 200. I am not expecting much from them in this match, as some of the Sri Lankan batsmen are in great form and also due to the fact that the pitch at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow seems to be very batsmen friendly.

The way the Netherlands performed against South Africa and the way the Netherlands performed today against Sri Lanka, I feel that if they are coached properly, they will be as strong a team as India and Pakistan. Their lives are not so easy as the cricketers of India Pakistan Australia New Zealand Bangladesh. They are well seen in the big tournaments of the World Cup but they work hard outside the tournament. Some work as delivery men and some work in workshops to manage their families. Underprivileged cricketers are performing brilliantly in world tournaments today. The Netherlands deserve credit for the runs they managed to score against Sri Lanka. There is cricketing talent in the Netherlands and the Netherlands Cricket Board must come forward to find that talent.

If Pakistan's batsmen can stay at the crease, they have a chance to win this match. Scoring runs will not be too difficult if Pakistan's batsmen can stay at the crease. But the performance of Pakistan's batsmen is very erratic. They cannot be trusted.

Pakistani openers Imam Ul Haque and Abdullah Shafique have started well. Pakistan collected 40 runs in 5 overs. The team has not lost any wicket yet. They are batting very smoothly. Abdullah scored 10 runs from 11 balls and Imam Ul Haque remained unbeaten with 25 runs from 19 balls. If the opening pair is prolonged, the match will become more competitive.

Chasing down a score of 360+ is never easy, no matter what the pitch is like. But runs are coming from Pakistani batters, which is a good sign. However, they need to be cautious about not losing wickets quickly because if they lose 2/3, it puts them under pressure. Still, I believe Pakistan has a chance to chase this total, especially on this flat track with a small boundary. It's an opportunity for them to score and win the game. But, Australia is the favorite, and I think they might win comfortably.

Again in Pakistan's innings, Pakistan kept up the pace of runs, but when they got all out towards the end, the possibility of Pakistan's defeat arose. If Mohammad Rizwan was not out then Pakistan would have had a chance to win but after Rizwan got out Pakistan lost all their chances of winning.

Netherlands managed to score 262,which is decent target to defend. I liked how they managed to keep score running with singles and doubles than relying on boundaries, they probably would not have made this target had they tried to hit hard and would have gotten all out much sooner.

South Africa set a target of 400 runs. I didn't think they would give such a big target. My guess was that South Africa would be able to deliver a target of 350.
At the end of 40 overs, South Africa's total was 256 with the loss of 5 wickets. The team collected 143 runs in the last 10 overs. With the help of Heinrich Klaaseen and Marco Jansen's excellent batting, the team was able to provide such a big target. Klaasen scored 109 off 67 balls and Jansen scored 75 off 42 balls. Apart from Adil Rashid of England team, I don't think any bowler's performance is good. Maybe South Africa will win today's match by a big margin.

Literally, everyone ran out of carrots in Wankhede, be it bowlers, fielders or lone centurion of the first inning. Dream batting deck but incredibly tough conditions.

It's the same ground where even 220 is not safe total in T-20. England did the same at the very same ground against the Proteas in the t-20 WC but not sure if we are going to see any repetition tonight because 399 is a daunting target. If it happens then it would be something majestic and brutal at the same time and spectators are in for a treat for sure.
