No one would have imagined that Sri Lanka would do so badly against New Zealand today but today is proof that cricket is a game of uncertainty. Any accident on the cricket field cannot be regretted. Even though England beat England by a big margin in the match between England and Pakistan, it is never possible for Pakistan to beat New Zealand's net run rate. Peak viewership in Hotstar was just 23 million for the India vs Pakistan clash in the world cup, when compared to 44 million for the India vs South Africa match and 43 million for the India vs New Zealand match. Also, Pakistan is not being competitive in recent matches against India, and I believe that the Kiwis will be able to put up a better fight against the Indians.

Beating England by 300 runs is an impossible task for Pakistan. While it's feasible for Pakistan to score 500 and restrict England to 211, the scenario is only applicable if Pakistan wins the toss. If England wins the toss and elects to bat first, the situation changes.

In my opinion, New Zealand will likely progress, and they should focus on their next match.

If Pakistan can bat first then there will be some chance but if for some reason England bat then it will be an impossible equation for Pakistan to qualify for semi final. The equation is that if Pakistan bat first then England need to beat Pakistan by 280 plus runs and if Pakistan bat later they need to win the match in three overs. It is certain that no equation will come in Pakistan's favor but the first equation is more possible than the second equation but the second equation is absolutely impossible. 

Just as we have no dream of Pakistan qualifying for the semi-finals, Pakistan may have given up hope. Pakistan players and team management might be satisfied with a win against England as that win will not help them qualify for the semi-finals.

Pakistan need one more win before winning the match against England and that win is to win the toss although winning the toss is totally depends on luck still Pakistani fans will definitely want Pakistan to win the toss today against England. this crucial 41st match of the Cricket World Cup ended and New Zealand secured a brilliant five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. New Zealand Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, New Zealand brilliant bowling and led by Trent Boult bowl an impressive 37/3 that helped restricted Sri Lanka to 171. Afghanistan has been a successful team so far in this World Cup as a new team.They have won almost every match after losing their first match against Bangladesh which is unbelievable.Afghanistan's batting and bowling lineups were both correct in this World Cup due to which they won their matches with proper game plan.
However, in today's match, Afghanistan looks different as they lost three wickets in exchange for just 57 runs.Playing like this, Afghanistan might not be able to win against South Africa because South Africa's batting line-up is very strong.

The way Afghanistan are batting today it looks like they have already accepted their defeat. They have lost quickly 4 wickets and struggling to even take singles. Keshav Maharaj bowling has been good today. Already has 2 wickets and gave only 16 runs. South Africa will win today as I doubt Afghanistan would be able to put up a big target.

LOL.. agreed on both Pakistan and New Zealand. Pakistani players seems to be suffering from a low morale. There are excuses, such as the absence of Naseem Shah. But then, it is not good for any of the teams to be dependent upon a single player. And even if Naseem was included in the squad, there is no guarantee that Pakistan would have performed better. And in case of New Zealand, they are a side capable of making upsets. But they don't always perform well in Indian conditions, unlike teams like Australia and South Africa.
