wait wait wait, what happened to that awesome new logo? of the hat and the 10011010 ? And why this has been chosen? That could have been the gamechanger, If Fayens logo provide us much pleasure here in BitcoinTalk, the one finally chosen by the community is the new one you currently see all over the place Two or three main reasons : - less "geeky" (no binary code,...) - colors are more punchy - the hat on Fayens' was not a Fedora And Fayens was of course involved both in the choice and in the creative process. But he will tell you that more than I am.

my opinion? do what they did on maxcoin: hard fork and put a new cap on 250B coins, max 300B. 500B is just too much. you'll see the price rise to 20 naturally. then you can try to push it even further with the aim to stabilize it around 40-45. meanwhile you can put all your efforts in the marketing campaign.
Regarding the marketing, there were people asking about coins offering anonymity services and almost nobody mentioned TIPS. There should be more promotion of TIPS mixing service considering TIPS seems to be the only coin offering any kind of anonymity service that is out of beta. Plenty of people would probably buy for no other reason than that. +1, I think the mixing service needs more wordspread it rarely gets mentioned!

Again I'm forced to desagree. A part of the community, the one which pump and dump, believe in profitable coins. This part doesn't care about the coin future, it cares about money. The strongest part believe in the features and well..., the community. This part is the one we should lean on.
There was some huge work done to do the rebranding. There is much more work to do to advertise. And I'm confident there will be not just 1 people investing 50 BTC in FedoraCoin but thousands.
It is pump and maintain until the the coin attracts enough investors that will sustain it's artificial price. You are confident only because you ar part of the team, if you were an investor you wouldn't be so confident. In my oppinon this coin needs three thigns: 1. Pump and maintain 2. Foundation for good causes/donation/sponsorship 3. Marketing/Advertising I agree here with Fargusson, pump and maintain was actually what happened a month ago with TiPS at around 45lit, I bought a lot there, sold other coins and now maybe 80% invested in TiPS. There were huge buy walls like you are describing coming from the believers in the coin, but the pools kept dumping all they were mining. So I would argue there is no point in repeating that. I think what we need more is the community mining and keeping their mined TiPS and using them instead of dumping. So I think the 2nd and 3rd points you mentioned are really what we need to focus on, that would increase the demand, and we need to encourage mining. That way we'll be resistant against multipools when the price increases again, and the price will have a true value behind it. don't you agree?

Ok guys, I created this facebook group which makes a really good use of TiPS! You ask for tips about whatever you want to know, and in return send TiPS to the answers you found helpful. I contacted the tipping app people on facebook to include us and still waiting for their reply. Please join the group and invite friends. I think this could make a great contribution to increase the community and putting real useful value behind the coin! I'll let you know when the tipping app gets activated, but meanwhile why not start using the group now, that way the TiPS will start raining as soon as the app is available here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1478427829039015/

If you really want to draw in new people over another coin than my suggestion would be a very basic "how to" get started mining. One of my biggest issues getting started with alt currency was the lack of a total idiots guide to setting up in one place.
This should be done in a Youtube video as well as a step by step document form.

That's a pretty good idea, and we are actually working on it We are currently making a FedoraCoin wiki. Among the articles is a Mining guide. If you want to contribute, you can contact Fayens here : http://www.reddit.com/r/FedoraCoin/comments/2202sl/need_someone_to_complete_the_wiki_of_fedoracoin/And you will be very welcome !

It was suggested so many times already with not much of a response. I personally could do this, but recently I feel like I could do all this, but not really see why I should. It already looks like just 5 or so people are running the whole business. Even greatest work will mean nothing, when it is just a dozen of passionate people against armies of mindless autodump bots. I start to see where the doge success come from. Not to mention others. We need a better proportion of those who are really involved and those who mine and dump. This disproportion also kills the fighting spirit in those involved and the whole thing just cycle all over again. Right now I think we all know where we are spiralling to. And saying "it was more dead before" wont help on that matter. Also "look, there are worse coins" don't work too.

And thus spoke Siriusthustra We need to develop the community and to get people more involved ! Ideas : 1) Follow TiPS_FedoraCoin on Twitter and retweet 2) Join our Facebook groups and start tipping 3) Advertize on all our features, and especially coin mixer or e-shop all over the place 4) Help us creating BitcoinTalk thread in your own language http://www.reddit.com/r/FedoraCoin/comments/21yddp/looking_for_bitcointalk_foreign_communities/5) Just throw new ideas or make your own stuff. We are all fond of new services to and Go TiPS

Unless it will kill investors, lol Good opportunity to make a good meme Is it possible to contact multipool.us admin directly and convince him to disable their Tips mining until its price climb to a reasonable level? Based on my finding in the internet, they currently have been mining more than 75% of total Tips every day.
