My father wants to buy some coins as more of a safe haven in the event of a Euro collapse and some of his savings being wiped clean, he wants to know if NLG will be in a position to function without a Fiat value to be accepted at merchants to at least live off in a financial crises. His safe havens are gold and silver but that might not work either. Is there plans for merchants to accept NLG directly without converting to Euro?

That is exactly what we at Nocks are working on Both will be possible, converting in Euro or to accept NLG directly without converting to Euro with Nocks Pay (that is worked on), if i am correct? Right that is correct, although we promote not to convert to EUR. This is also much cheaper for merchants anyways. |

The presentation was about Nocks as a startup, but of course Gulden is a big part of Nocks so it was mentioned a lot by Roel. Also at the end there were some questions about Gulden, one of the questions was: "How can I get Guldens?" I don't think people saw it as a 'return' of the Gulden, but more as the introduction of the Gulden, a completely new and refreshing payment system.
