Tick tock, time is running out and I'm not talking about this two week long logo contest
I made tons of posts about the major flaws of WC and stressed urgency. This coin has about 2-3 days left before its completely done. Yes I mean it. I sadly feel we are past the point of no return.
I couldn't disagree more Ownski. We have an incredibly motivated team that is constantly working on new approaches to promote the coin, and we're in the process of becoming a real legal entity. WhiteCoin is not a short term pump, it's a long term investment based around a real plan that will take time to implement properly. As the good news about WhiteCoin continues to mount, we will only continue to improve.
We are a top 100 marketcap/volume coin, and the only coin that is truly community driven. I encourage you to join our volunteers if you have concerns.
I want Whitecoin to be successful just as much as everyone else but we have to face the cold hard facts. We are literally 1 BTC away from not even being listed on mintpals main page. I thought 40BTC volume was bad we are now less than a tenth of that. It doesn't matter how good the development team is if no one wants to buy your product. There are enough different "Whitecoin" websites that it can confuse even the most veteran of crypto investors. Honestly I can keep going on and on but complaining isn't gonna fix anything. What WC needed was a unified image with a dedicated central website. So far we barely made progress. I mean it took almost a week to update this main page in this thread. I respect what your doing and everyone who has contributed but we are slowly turning into the laughing stock of crypto.
I disagree. I understand you are more "short term trading" oriented by our price has stabilized. We seized control from the original devs which means that the confused messaging thing is an issue for the short term. I've noticed before that you have a tendency to make the error of assuming that our long term success is directly tied to short term market fluctuations.
I think you have very unrealistic expectations for how long it actually takes people to accomplish a massive todo list. The foundation has accomplished a great deal since it came together, including:
1. Consulting with the community to seize control from the original devs.
2. Forking the coin and providing an update to fix PoS (all using peer review as an adhoc team).
3. Creating a rebranding strategy and carefully executing it according to a schedule.
4. Providing a 2nd wallet update.
5. Work has begun on a 3rd wallet update.
6. Addition of games.
7. Fundraising initiatives to pay our devs.
8. Creation of a community driven website.
9. Drafting of the whitecoin paper, laying out a compeltely unique approach in crypto.
10. Creating a functioning committee structure.
11. Recruited and appointed a Director of Operations, Chief Technology Officer, and Director of Communications (Oizopower, Mindfox, and Birddog respectively).
12. Hours upon hours of legal research regarding founding as an association (nearly complete, name reservation process has begun)
13. Work on holding our first general assembly has been ongoing.
14. Drafting association bylaws for public review has been ongoing.
15. Logo contest underway and nearing the voting phase.
16. Op completely redesigned from scratch with new graphics (this was a 20 hour+ job, for the record)
17. IRL investor outreach has been ongoing.
18. Mainstream media outreach has been ongoing with significant progress made (keep your eye out for this one).
19. Implementing a format for community consultation and democratic decision making.
That's what's off the top of my head, and that's what the foundation has accomplished in less than a month.
This is all very very good new and it is amazing you much you guys have done in such a short period.
I would say though all devs, marketing basically everyone involved should be paid and fully invested in WC. This creates much more motivation to see the coin succeed.
WC is doing great but is way below it's fair price.
Also the community needs to become way more involved and help more.
ROI projects are key to this.
