Another idea would be to keep WC as is (it has history, good or bad --marketing is about getting known). Then have the foundation create the new coin (WOC) and position it to be extremely profitable within the pools but not listed on the exchange. Then have a set percentage of of mine blocks go to a purchase wallet on WC used for the foundation and thereby reducing WC supply to increase volume and market value. You would however need to seed the WOC pool from WC donations or some other revnue stream --maybe selling shirts, hell I don't know. Just spit-balling here...

Operation
Alpha Technologies is due to ship product in July 2014.  Order number does play a part in shipping order, however, the time between the first shipment and the last on batch 1 will be within days of each other.  Upon confirmation of delivery, the tracking number will be provided to investors, the units will be installed and operational within 48 hrs, and investors will again be notified.  Investors will receive their share of earnings approximately 24 hrs after operation,  and approximately 2 to 4 days daily (dependent on multi-pool, or set script coins settings.)  Multiple pools will be set up in redundancy should there be a failover on one of them to ensure units are operational.

I`m kidding, no offense but if WC continue like this it`ll take not months than years to reach 5k satoshi. i`m not that strong as miner/investor to currently buy for others just to get theirs interest and keep price were it is. It need more to be done than just buy and hold...

I considered to open an account on hitbtc weeks ago. I found that in order to get the account verified, I need to obtain a letter from a bank branch to confirm that I am the owner of that bank account. However, I currently have only online banking accounts and there is no local branch. So, I won't be able to obtain such a letter, and hitbtc doesn't work for people like me (with no local banking account).

I'm really glad to see such in depth discussion about WhiteOut. I can see that there is some movement towards avoiding this new coin, however just from my own observations it does seem the majority still want it.

I'd like to offer my own personal opinion regarding "Anonymous transactions".

As some of you know, I've spent many years working in political and activist spheres. As an outed "Anon", I can tell you with certainty that true Anonymity on the internet does not exist. It's simply a matter of the precautions you are willing to take and how difficult you can make the job to your 'snoop'. The group who posted to reddit is also correct in my opinion that the vast majority of these "Anonymous" coins either do not work, or have central points of failure that make them easily compromised by a person with the necessary skills.

With that, and Crypto making strong moves to enter the mainstream, I am very much convinced that "Anon features" are at worst a fad, and at best a niche service within our industry.

All that said, I do believe this is a service people want right now. We've seen innumerable requests from community members and potential investors alike to implement some kind of privacy feature into WhiteCoin. Our roadblock to achieving this is that we risk WC's blockchain by trying to implement the feature directly into WC. Staking software technology is just not all that compatible with privacy in the long term.

I did eventually come around to supporting doing this as a companion coin because I do believe that we have the necessary infrastructure in place to see it be of value to all of our investors. I also think that companion coins are the way of the future in crypto. As a legit operator with an established history of transparency and financial accountability, I think we're uniquely positioned to offer an IPO. I also strongly believe that offering WOC as an IPO with WC as the only entry vehicle would indeed cause a rise in value permanently in WC. From a math standpoint, in theory the coins prices should average out over time. So if we created WOC with the lower total coin count, we should see a rise of 500-1000 sat after correction to WC.

With all that out there now, I do believe we should extend the community discussion phase by a few days as there have been some great points made on all sides of this discussion. I'm going to spend some time today finalizing the proposal as to how the IPO would work, and post it here.

In my opinion, we should wait on posting the pre-ann thread until we have a clear and permanent majority consensus on proceeding down this avenue.

I would like to share here with you the situation what happend to me:

I was supporting WhiteCoin from the beginning, helped to price rise, bought more and more WhiteCoins when the price was going lower, helping with wallet translation to my native language etc.

Totally i have collected over 950k WC. I was intending to HOLD them a LONG time. Over 1BTC in WC. Nice number for a poor guy from middle europe, more than half of my monthly wage.

Yesterday evening i was thinking about purchasing some trading bot to make trades for me when im at work. Made quick google search and found a youtube video. Starting to watch that and clicked the link under it, downloaded a program from mediafire, continue watching the video about the program and installing it in the meantime.

And now what happend in next quarter an hour:
a) setup.exe - does nothing, i started to be suspicious its a virus - hard restart the computer to safe what i can
b) everything looks fine, now my Mintpal account logged out - i had my pwd stored in Chrome, just logged back again
c) everything looks fine, Mintpal acc logged me out again - logged back in and FCUK - all my WC were gone
d) i tought its a mintpal fault, they had restart sth - therefore the logouts - i tought it will be fine in a few mins
e) wrote to #whitecoinfoundation IRC - but nobody has those problems
f) starting to investigate what was happening
g) obviously I have sold all my WhiteCoins for the price 125-122 satoshi...nice but where are the BTC?
h) BTC were traded for DarkCoins at the lowest offer
i) DRK were withdrawed to some guys wallet (not mine) and confirmed using my email
j) there is no confirmation email, even in trash
k) tracking the DRK wallet using the blockexplorer and the coins were sent half an hour after that to Cryptsy wallet
l) probalby traded there for clean and clear BTC.

Did I have a antivirus/firewall? No. Did I had easy pwd? No - 18 H/L letters, numbers, special signs. Im I new here? No - just new nick to my old tw0r.

Why Im writing this? TO WARN YOU ALL! Its most imporant here its very important to me so be satisfied - everything bad have to bring something good. The second think - like i wrote to IRC: We are a great community, and Im sure I will do the same if it happends to you.

Anyone can help poor guy robbed for his WhiteCoin, please donate a bit...950k was stolen, every little bit helps a lot...

We've seen innumerable requests from community members and potential investors alike to implement some kind of privacy feature into WhiteCoin. Our roadblock to achieving this is that we risk WC's blockchain by trying to implement the feature directly into WC. Staking software technology is just not all that compatible with privacy in the long term.

I did eventually come around to supporting doing this as a companion coin because I do believe that we have the necessary infrastructure in place to see it be of value to all of our investors. I also think that companion coins are the way of the future in crypto. As a legit operator with an established history of transparency and financial accountability, I think we're uniquely positioned to offer an IPO. I also strongly believe that offering WOC as an IPO with WC as the only entry vehicle would indeed cause a rise in value permanently in WC. From a math standpoint, in theory the coins prices should average out over time. So if we created WOC with the lower total coin count, we should see a rise of 500-1000 sat after correction to WC.

With all that out there now, I do believe we should extend the community discussion phase by a few days as there have been some great points made on all sides of this discussion. I'm going to spend some time today finalizing the proposal as to how the IPO would work, and post it here.

In my opinion, we should wait on posting the pre-ann thread until we have a clear and permanent majority consensus on proceeding down this avenue.
