No, in no way. Quite the opposite, this coin was created as a fair alternative to stop people investing in the scammy one he created.
Later we developped this coin further, went POS and now we will have a couple of new features which will be released on the 30th of August.

This is one of the few really fair coins. No premine, no fastmine, no instamine, no IPO, no halving, 3 months PoW after it went full PoS in May.

It's always a very good feeling to wake up and see how many stakes you got overnight. The good thing about Pandacoin is also that it's a realistic percentage, 2,5% is nice, not too high, not too low. Higher and the inflation will be quite a lot. And you don't have to do anything for it, just keep your wallet unlocked for staking and you receive 2,5% interest per year!

No response to repeated withdrawal requests for about a week. I did get a few hundred Doge out, they're in a buy for Zeit @ #LazyCoins now.

We have been growing slowly, new members joining and getting more and more Pandacoin(PND) buying activity, with it's price rising it is a great time to add to your Pandacoin(PND) balances. We are still working on automating our prices, for now we manually monitor and adjust them; so be sure to check the rates carefully for now if they are in flux (we have been found at times to be below market too). We do now display the live outside exchange rate in USD for you in your sidebar I have to apologize for the occasional delay for withdrawals transmitted via our Contact Us form,  I have been spoiled with most of you chatting directly to me on the Pandacoin IRC for most of the requested deposits and withdrawals. I have missed some recently causing delays, I will keep a better eye out and perhaps offer a bonus at times for delayed Pandacoin (PND) withdrawals.  We don't yet get that many requests per day, but I do realize we need to automate all our withdrawals so we can handle more activity and not disappoint our members and customers.  To all of you members who have been playing the new games and commenting etc, I want to thank you for your support and hope you had some fun winning Pandacoin(PND) for you your UsedPND.com account funds and how easy it is to insta-exchange to and from ZEIT and or DOGE etc.   We now have finally enabled automatic withdrawals of Pandacoin(PND), however since it is still new and even though we have tested it, we are going to watch and manually approve each withdrawal temporarily. Probably for the next week or so we will keep this new automated withdraw functionality in watch-mode, it may on occasion take longer than the normal few minutes to process.  However the automated withdraw form now on both your accounts page and on your profile page now, will make it very easy to request Pandacoin(PND) withdrawals anytime and will soon be virtually instantaneous.   Zeitcoin and dogecoin will remain manual for now but I will personally make it a point to check for them a couple times a day, however now if anyone gets concerned they can always exchange for Pandaoin (PND) and Withdraw them using the new automatic withdrawal form.

Many of the outdated miners are unstable and produce far lower average hashrates than the updated versions.

When I updated my ASIC, my hashrate increased from 1.3Mh/s to 1.7Mh/s.

I think it would be really cool to send messages along with payment or gifting. Also, I would like to see applications built into the wallet, such as finance organizers or settings that could be customized? arrangment, color, font, etc. Just those small things that really make it stand out.

We have high expectations for ourselves here. The 30th of August bunch of releases will give PND a solid foundation and show the crypto-space our intentions clearly on how we (dev team) wish to take PND and the entire crypto-space forward.

Also we are getting some interesting suggestions from the community regarding how to utilize the PND Community Chest funds! Keep them coming! We will be releasing a brand new edition of the bounty project list post August 30th!
