Hopefully doublec will chime in. I know some of his backend is custom, but the part of it we share should be able to have different difficulties for the same miner at the same time if they connect multiple devices. It's not important, I'm curious though.
The getwork server doesn't support it so I've kept the message there to reduce my support workload for miners who swap between them. It should work on the stratum server fine.

Any ETA on CGminer 3.x fix? I still have problems and my ASIC USB are hire...
I have not been able to reproduce the issue since fixing the previous 3.x problem (which I was able to reproduce). I'm still working on seeing if I can find the problem, sorry.

Ahh that explains it, thanks. Stratum is all I do. Smiley

Since I started my ASIC USB(5 hours ago) I had only one disconnect so it might be a just coincidence... But if you would like I can give you access to my miner so you can look into it. And I have send you 3 PM regarding my other problem look into that when you will have time...

EDIT: Probably it will get beater now that I have changed difficulty down to 2 for cgminer 3.1.1...

EDIT2: I had one more disconnect on difficulty 2. Two 2.11.4 miners didn't had one. Running for 3 hours.

If you haven't do anything with stratum except this update I had 2 or more 3.x disconnects... Do you need log or access to my miner?

Looking forward to getwork coming back up, pools that support it are getting harder to find and my old ztexs don't do stratum... I tried pointing stratum proxy at your server, but it errors out on me. My best guess is it doesn't like the protocol being provided to it... Works fine for a different pool.

Error message, if curious:

2013-06-11 09:56:32,703 INFO proxy mining_proxy.on_connect # Subscribing for mining jobs
Unhandled error in Deferred:

exceptions.ValueError: too many values to unpack

EDIT: Nevermind, I found I was running an older version of stratum_proxy. Upgrading to latest mostly fixed the issue. I still get a single error message upon launching miners, but they don't seem to be affected by it. bus-0-3: ztex_ufm1_15y1-0008-02-11-4: Error: jsonParse: Parameter `data' not found: Disabling URL http://127.0.0.1:8332 for 60s

Doesn't reoccur, so I'm assuming it's just a one-time startup issue.

3.1.1 has send 168 shares to backup pool in 3 hours... And then it totally crashed my computer. Is this do to the fact that I'm using 2.11.4 where I can... Please let me know how can I help you find reason...

EDIT: But 3.1.1 runs OK on Slush. Didn't test it jet on any other...

Jumps are also causing HW errors... And that can crush CGminer that still has problems with USB ASIC miner sticks... 3.1.1 is the most stable version for this...

EDIT2: This isn't small problem. Now that there is no getwork to stop jumping to backup. I see that only 35 minute later I have 230 shares on backup. So additional 62 or almost 2 per minute... I'm loosing a lot idling on jumps and lost shares do to stratum disconnect...

Please let me know if and how I can help to fix this...

Can you turn on verbose logging of cgminer, including protocol logging, and log to a file? When you get a disconnect like this send me the log and it'll help track it down, thanks.

EDIT: Just figure it out. It was late yesterday. Should I add --protocol-dump too?

OK I added protocol dump but I see noting extra in log. Do I need to do anything else?

After Bitminter and slush, Bitparking would get my vote. They don't pay tx fee rewards, but offer 3 merged mined altcoins.
Bitparking also pays for orphans. This is what the transaction fees go towards - keeping an orphan buffer. If the network has averaged 1% orphans in the last 12 months then the 1.5% fee at bitparking is really only 0.5%. Add to that the income from the alt coins and the fee is negative. Disclaimer: I'm a tad biased...

@Doublec,

above your comment in the Bitminter vs. Eligius thread. Any explanation why the orphan rate is much higher than expected. There are 8 orphan out of 188 blocks since the DGM-switch. This equals 4.2% ophans, much more than normal! Now it matters, because you are not paying orphan blocks anymore. Taking your numbers, the effective Bitparking fee is 4,7%.
