These prices are too low, I thought 0.003 was too low!
I am disillusioned here. What to do?
The rumors say that some scamthief is dumping coins. It does make them cheaper, but not less valuable. In this case buy/hold. I am slowly accumulating myself, about 1500 per day currently.

Does anyone know about the impact of Nvidia's 20nm cards on XMR mining?
Could it be that the new Nvidia cards mine so much more efficient, such that we actually see a new price/mining equilibrium now?

From 0.0017 to 0.0024-25 ok, possible, but to 0.007 for real - not so soon. Only if Bitcoin goes to 2k or so, but even then it would be not so possible. Price will rise in 2025 year:) Whithout normal wallet. With or without GUI wallet - it does not matter at all. Wallet have nothing to do with price.

Good point, the price is a market function of suply/demand side (Say's Law as "supply creates its own demand."), that's why I will hold XMR long term.

Core: per-kb fees are done, and are being deployed to testnet. If you are mining on testnet you don't have to update to that fork/branch, as we want to see more real-world results with both fixed-fee and per-kb miners.
We need per kB fee out asap. So in the testnet, we can use both fixed fee and per kB fee simultaneously? Will they contradict each other and make transaction invalid?

We need per kB fee out asap. I believe it's the database that will help with RAM usage. Per kB fees relate to transaction costs.

For example, large mix-in will increase the transaction size, however, it might not be necessary. I reckon, if we have more than 3 mix-in, it is pretty safe. Somebody might comment on that.

No, the RAM usage is from the entire blockchain being store in memory while running the daemon. It will go down when the database is implemented; afaik fee size will not do anything to memory usage.

It matters when the new database is not implemented. I am wondering why it is so difficulty to implement the new DB. Bytecoin implemented that in June and reduced memory usage dramatically.

Ughh, no. Hash/watt consumed the 750Ti is still king, imho. Hash/USD cost the 750Ti still rules, also, imho. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "normal" wallet

4. Why can not I make a couple XMR \ USD or any other fiat, inconveniently Bitcoin buy initially but it then monero .....
Yep, I agree that buying XMR directly for USD would be a killer app. Having to buy bitcoins first to obtain altcoins makes trying to calculate taxes really annoying, given FIFO rules. (I've read elsewhere that LIFO isn't applicable, meaning that only FIFO applies.) First in first out means that any new purchase and then sale of bitcoins for altcoins has the effect on taxes as if you sold your earliest bought bitcoins. This means that to avoid short term capital gains taxes, you can't buy any altcoins until you have bitcoins that were bought more than a year prior.

I think it just uses most you have. Some said it use most of their 3 gb RAM. Probably also most of 16 gb RAM. It is true that is not so convenient to run bitmonerod. You just do when you really have to. Lets hoe soon will get better.
