I accidentially pasted one of my XMR addresses in the google search bar and the following pastebin came up:

http://pastebin.com/LEhABQcu

Just out of curiosity: Could someone in the know tell me what it shows and why my address would show up there?

I only use it for mining.

Thanks

my guess: your pool op made a pastebin of a connection error to show it to someone Wink

Yeah probably something like that.

veh vant zeh missives! Achtung!

 Grin

Hah - you and me both!

Internet has been a bit spotty whilst I've been travelling, but we are busy finalising the Missive and will push it out as soon as the new Monero builds are done with testing, so within the next 12 hours at the most;)

What about new missive, dear devs? "12 hours at the most" are elapsed 3-5 times since that...

It has already been shown.

I think Monero (XMR) is very interesting.

I use simple wallet is nice and simple. perfect for me. If you want fancy one with unicorns dancing on top, there is Jojotek valet. It is link to it in OP.

About Missives, writing them weekly is a bit wast of time, not much happen in one week anyway. And rare weeks was weekly. have them every second week would be more then enough.

+1. Better no weekly missive than weekly disappointment because of no missive. Hypothetically speaking.

Hi all,

I got myself a bit of monero at these bargain prices, however I have to keep it on an exchange because I cannot get a Linux wallet to work at all. I have tried many things. I am using Ubuntu version 12.04 32 bit.

I would appreciate it if some of the experienced linux heads could help me out here. Don't wanna keep XMR on the exchange the whole time Smiley

Thanks

Anyway you can try to use 64bit version of linux? Right now 32bit isn't recommended until the embedded db is released. If you can try to run it on 64bit linux you shouldn't have any issues. Just make sure you have swap space setup if you have less than 6-8gb of memory. Once the db is released we won't have to worry about needing a large amount of memory.

I rather keep waiting for a solid GUI+DB than half measures that will only fool on short-term, I believe monero coin to be a long-term real winner crypto.
