Since the beginning of November MONERO has grown more five times. It's just impressive. And even now I think MONERO has still a good potential of growth in 2018 year. Now all the money goes almost to the top of Alta.

People are getting too emotional about scam/hype coins "overtaking" Monero. Marketcap is easily game-able and will eventually become meaningless. Those hype coins will be forgotten in a few weeks or months. Monero, on the other hand, will stand the test of time. Building for the long term always entails short term sacrifices.

If you truly are missing the LAST word you can brute force the last in 24 tries or less.  Copy each word in the key to the end.  In other words if this were your 24 words:

organs mumble pliers eden value cause girth gossip unopened soccer juicy apology azure video daytime siblings safety drinks framed casket error buying airport axis

Then first try:
organs mumble pliers eden value cause girth gossip unopened soccer juicy apology azure video daytime siblings safety drinks framed casket error buying airport axis organs

Then:
organs mumble pliers eden value cause girth gossip unopened soccer juicy apology azure video daytime siblings safety drinks framed casket error buying airport axis mumble

Eventually it will work.  If not, then it is not the last word missing... but I think that error message is likely accurate.

I think monero is awesome currency.
Undervalued AF.
It should cost as much as DASH at least.
My plans for next couple of month is to increase my stake in monero and Doge

Why do you say that the last word has to be a repeat of one of the earlier words?  The Monero word list is 1626 words long.  The last word is a checksum, and as such it could be any word from the list.  Did I miss something?
By the way, if the missing word is the final one, that implies that you can, at least theoretically, work backward from the mnemonic to derive the private key it's based on (you don't need to know the checksum).

Yeah the checksum was implemented in an odd way (I don't know why) and has to be one of the other words.

Agree that in theory you don't need the checksum at all.

We have seen this before. Scam/Hyped/Shit coins can overtake established coins like Monero in terms of market capitalization, but I assure you it will just be temporary. As soon as these coins are scrutinized, they will all fall by the way side and those left standing will be the likes of Monero which stood the test of time. We are in a bull market, but like all things, the bull will become a bear. And when the bear market comes, I hope many of us here will be holding  our profits instead of giving them back.

What makes Monero better than other privacy coins? It sure is expensive at around $400. Sure, the people who got in early are happy no doubt about it, but not too many people can afford it right now. Wouldn't it be a good idea to use multiple privacy coins in order to diversify?

Privacy is what makes Monero better than the 'so called' privacy coins.  There isn't one that decentralized, secure and private.

Why can't people afford it?  Admittedly, with fees breaking over $1 it is not practical to buy less than $10 worth or so right now, but that will be fixed very soon.  To which people do you refer?

Diversity -  the act of accepting what is not best.  Everyone is of course free to use whatever they want, but if you want the best, well, diversifying among the losers in the space ain't it.

Monero is the one that concentrated on the privacy coin. Having the Ring Signature principle. It truly is Technological innovation of the crypto currencies. Right now, if you think this newbie coins have overtaken Monero, take a look in the long run. Once the lean season comes, you'll see how stable monero coin value is. It will get back to its original position as one of the best coin in the crypto world.

Do not download blockchains from mining computers, just connect them to the host. Is this possible? It's a hassle to use your wallet on Windows.

When will a new Monero wallet be released, it seems like the HH release is pretty old.

No new bugfixes and patches since then?

I would like to see more security bugfixes, there is no way that Monero is perfect security wise. Are we going to see updates soon?

You can build from master whenever you want. Any critical security issues would get a point release. Next major release in a couple of months I think.
