Hello
Please, explain the situation with the exchange livecoin.net.
They closed the withdrawal of monero, until the conflict with the monero developers is resolved.

There is no reason why they should not send you your coins.

find more information about this situation:
in luly 2018, the livecoin.net lost $ 1.8 million due to the vulnerability in the monero code.
after they froze the withdrawal, as I understand, until the issue of compensation is resolved.

I would like to hear developers Monero, about this situation.

They still have Monero listed on the exchange. So to me s strange to have it but no withdrawals for half year. Are you sure that is the case?

Man. Whatever Monero you have on that exchange is your Monero. You should demand it from them. If I would be you would just exchange your Monero into Bitcoin and withdraw the hell out of there. And never look back. It is not your fault for their mistakes. Why are you trading on such shitty exchanges?

livecoin.net clarified the situation, which I don't like and disagree.
but I don't want to swear until I hear a version of the conflict from the developers Monero.

I have already begun to withdraw Monero from the exchange through another currency, but I try with a profitable rate for self.

Good day. Please tell me if the XMD (monero diamond) project is relevant

Monero Diamond is completely irrelevant and nobody of value cares about it.

and will you have hard forks?

Currently Monero hard forks every 6 months to include new features.

the vulnerability was that due to a bug in the Monero code was credited 100 times more than pending

details can be read here (on russian only):
forklog.com/kriptobirzha-livecoin-poteryala-svyshe-1-8-mln-iz-za-uyazvimosti-v-kode-monero

According to your link, situation is strange as well funny. The bug you mentioned is not classic critical bug. It looks like a small transient bug appeared on a short time period, possibly due to protocol changes (hint: simple x10 amounts). Monero devs seem to be correct - they emphasize in the reply to Livecoin, one MUST NOT ignore software updates.

Another funny thing is that the bug appeared around April 6 hard fork, the article mentioned some Monero online web block explorers stopped to update the block height. How could Livecoin omit the whole hard fork?..

Sure, if the bug were critical, MOST of exchanges should be affected. But they aren't. So, make your own conclusions about Livecoin.

Just to add: if a bug is CRITICAL, devs should NOT broadcast it BEFORE FIX to the whole Internet as Livecoin considers.

Additional article from that site says Monero devs did fix several vulnerabilities during HackerOne event very quickly:

Hi,

When I invoke  monero-wallet-cli to order a transfer is there a way to avoid pass the password to it without using a "--password" command-line argument?

Sometimes the wallet exits with an error such as "Error: Not enough money in unlocked balance" or "Error: daemon is busy. Please try again later." but the exitValue, which is the "$?" shell pseudovariable, is always 0, just as if it always succeeded.  Is it possible to have it exit with a 0 only if it succeeded, and in all other cases with an errorcode specific to any error?

Thank you.

I have more than one wallet.  In the GUI wallet is there a way to always have the name of the currently loaded wallet displayed?  If it is not possible do you think I can suggest it to the developers?

The wallet name of the currently loaded wallet is displayed on the Settings page on the Log tab.

Do you want to skip the password requirement upon sending a transaction?

The wallet name of the currently loaded wallet is displayed on the Settings page on the Log tab.

So I have to go to this page each time I want to know (or to be sure) which wallet is currently loaded. It seems not optimal to me but I suppose most users only have one wallet and use accounts.

Thank you!

No, I dont, as the protection offered thanks to the password is useful. I want to be able to invoke the CLI wallet and to provide the password without having to put it in an argument, because it is less secure as other users may have access to the active processes informations, including CLI argument.  May I put the password in a file, and instruct monero-wallet-cli to read it there?

As for the exit code I want to be able to invoke monero-wallet-cli from another program which must be informed if monero-wallet-cli encounters some error. I may use RPCs but this is not convenient from a shellscript.
