cant seem to figure out how to transfer MRO,

I sent a transaction from my wallet but it hasnt shown up at Bittrex.. any ideas?

Assuming you waited long enough for the transaction to get into the blockchain.
Does Bittrex require a payment ID? Usually only exchanges require the payment id, it is an optional argument to the transfer.
Example transfer command to single address, for 20 coins and no mixin required:

Quote
transfer 0 <address> 20 <payment id>

Exactly how i did it
you can even see the TX here > http://monerochain.info/tx/4ffb1ef25bc73f74288374a06c9b9adf34764ae051fc26c68bd4e0ccb647f9a8

please correct  my assumption. from the initial discussion regarding mixing. it is not necessary to have a mixing level above zero as monero and all CN coins have a baseline mixing already. this is seen when you send any transaction and will see multiple ammounts sent. by default there is already a mix of 10 at minimum. please correct if wrong

thanks

Monero seems to solve the main problems of Bitcoin right now.

1. Fungibility
2. Private transactions

It does it in a way that does not need counterparties (masternodes for example), and it is built into the coin.

Very interesting..

Having major problems depositing onto bittrex... Not good

Depositing directly from pool? You have to send monero to own wallet, then send to exchange with valid TX ID. Pools send without TX.

Use command:  transfer 0 <Deposit Address> <amount> <Payment ID>

What major problems? I sent to the address with the payment ID they specified...a short while later it appeared. It would be useful if you defined "major problems" Smiley

Same here. My MRO deposit is still not credited. I sent it more then 3 hours ago. It happens to the other two exchanges sometimes and they usually react in about 1-8 hours based on my experience. I hope all the exchanges will fix those issues and the Monero developers will help them.

Pool operators: please restart bitmonerod with this command (remove your pool's IP)

Code:
./bitmonerod --add-priority-node 198.199.79.100:18080 5.9.25.103:18080 107.170.182.209:18080 62.210.78.186:18080 216.119.175.73:18080

This will keep open connections to all major (>2kh/s) pools so the pools mine less orphans.

I think the right commans is
Code:
./bitmonerod --add-priority-node=198.199.79.100:18080 --add-priority-node=5.9.25.103:18080 --add-priority-node=107.170.182.209:18080 --add-priority-node=62.210.78.186:18080 --add-priority-node=216.119.175.73:18080

or just use ~/.bitmonero/bitmonero.conf:
Code:
add-priority-node=198.199.79.100:18080
add-priority-node=5.9.25.103:18080
add-priority-node=107.170.182.209:18080
add-priority-node=62.210.78.186:18080
add-priority-node=216.119.175.73:18080

Also, it might be reasonable to build a special version of bitmonerod with P2P_DEFAULT_CONNECTIONS_COUNT increased from 12 to 24 or even more.

You can try Lucas Jone's cpuminer v1.0.3 at https://github.com/LucasJones/cpuminer-multi/releases

Then connect to a stratum mining pool like so:

Code:
minerd -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://mro.extremehash.com:9999 -u address -p x

0.8.8 Test branch has been created after reviewing the code released from ByteCoin recently and merging the relevant changes.

https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero/tree/0.8.8update

Changes:
Code:
- JSON RPC v2.0 compatibility
- JSON RPC over TCP added- Further optimizations
- Fixed a bug with checkpoints behavior
- UI improvements for daemon
- Fixed COIN value (10^12)
- Raised minimum fee to (1/2) * (10^10)

If you're feeling brave, give it a spin. If everyone reports it to be stable after a few days, I will merge with master.

Is this correct?

All Monero transactions are private by default, without a need for counterparties such as masternodes or key creators.
