Moonriver, did you add the nodes? Try that. if you are on the wrong fork:1. close your wallet 2. go to your data dir and wipe everyting BUT peers.dat, wallet.dat and the .conf file 3. put this file in that folder: https://mega.co.nz/#!HFMQSIrJ!g6BGdCv48RT11sgFOTsFiFbjoiR7DvrCum8kMw7EpH0 4. reopen wallet and wait for sync + connections bootstrap.dat has the blocks in it. What about the peers? I cant get any connection to the wallet. Put this in syscoin.conf file and delete what is there. addnode=76.25.201.234:8369 addnode=67.253.247.113:8369 addnode=node.syscoin.me:6369 Now my wallet wont open Can I just get a refund now? Its been 36hrs and still so many issues. No refund. If people would just read and follow the instructions that are posted on every page you would be up and running already. When Mintpal goes live with deposits just send your coins there and dump into the walls. Go to task manager and kill syscoin-qt.exe Go to the start menu and type run and hit enter then type %APPDATA% and hit enter Open syscoin folder. Delete everything but the syscoin.conf and wallet.dat file. Open syscoin program again. Everything will sync and you should be on the latest block.

I am now stuck on block 1794, and that is with Dano's bootstrap.dat file download from previous page.

Stop cying for a refund!
If you marry a hot babe, and she turns out to have a few flaws would you cry for a divorce? NO.
Have some patience, things will work out. Go do some promotion instead, and let the devs work!

a refund is not going to happen obviously dream on crybabys No problem for me cupcake I only invested 1 btc Moolah and mintpal will forever lose my business and I'm sure after this. No one will want to go back there. Are you reading, mintpal? This was a failed coin from the start and met non of the criteria as a working coin. Refund to build customers faith in your exchange

Here are two steps one can try: a. Use Danosphere's bootstrap.dat --> It will get you synced for the most part. Then you will struggle connecting to the blockchain. It will not work. b. Use the conf and put in: addnode=76.25.201.234:8369 addnode=67.253.247.113:8369 addnode=node.syscoin.me:6369
Then forget your coins. The program will quit mid-way with an error - "can't open database file wallet.dat error -30974"

But if that hot babe turns out to have a full set of Block and Tackle bigger than your own, you have got to doubt your good judgement....

My wallet is synced and I just received a payout from the pool, confirmed.
The only issue I'm having now is the crash/no GUI on QT restart. But I don't think this is entirely unique to the syscoin wallet, as I've seen this bug in other wallets before.
I had all the previous problems mentioned. Wallet not starting sync, wallet/blockchain files corrupted, sync hanging on 1632, 1663 etc. I started from scratch with the update, copied a config file into the roaming folder with the most recent nodes provided by the devs and started the wallet. Then I just left it alone. About 30 minutes later, I was good to go. I think it's just taking a while for the network to stabilize.

I got it to work after 10 tries. Not sure what happened. Just to warn people -
Dont use the bootstrap.dat provided by the devs. Use the nodes being provided: addnode=76.25.201.234:8369 addnode=67.253.247.113:8369 addnode=node.syscoin.me:6369
Try 10-15 times or bang your head on your keyboard and it might work.

@ALL, just be patient, take it easy, we should give DEV time to fix the issues, this is a very new coin with fantastic features, it's very normal to have some issues.
I think they should get someone like mindfox to take over development of this coin. I'm sure if they would apply or ask. Not like you can just force someone to help. But they got 3 additional devs so far helping out. And this is open sourced so anyone could help. I think what I've been getting at is that the core people involved do not appear to be real hard-core devs - this coin needs a new management team that's capable of doing solid work on new blockchain 2.0 features and new interfaces quickly from the start. It's not just about the wallet anymore - it's about the team that put out the original, untested, underdeveloped, copy-paste Litecoin-clone wallet out there for a launch thinking that was OK and has since applied rushed band aids (and the work apparently STILL isn't done). This is not a good team worth 1500 BTC. This is not what any investor in the presale was paying for.
